  • Changes Here at TAH?

First this from TSO via FB.
Burly rugby player has a stroke after freak gym accident… wakes up gay and becomes a hairdresser

He was taken to the Royal Gwent hospital where his girlfriend and family waited for news – but said: ‘I was gay when I woke up and I still am.’

His friends were stunned by the dramatic changes to his personality, especially his change in sexuality.

Chris said: ‘It sounds strange but when I came round I immediately felt different.

‘I wasn’t interested in women any more. I was definitely gay.

I dunno if cataract surgery can have the same effect, but it stands to reason that Jonn will be seeing things differently.

We all need to be alert. Jonn may join the IVAW or start blogging at VFP or some such.

  • Anchors Away, or Aweigh! Go Navy!

I opted for Away vs Aweigh for a reason, but I didn’t mean to confuse the Army guys.

For the next 72 hours or so TAH will have a different flavor… IF my fellow swabbies and swabettes (sexist, but cute) help out.

Jonn is getting a high colonic or something and it’ll take him a while to recover. As I understand it he’s so full of shit that it’s effecting his vision. I’m no medical expert so YMMV.

TSO is getting a suntan with his wonderful wife (who deserves better).

Those of you with forum access can use that for stories, otherwise my email address is on the contact page.

I’ m looking for stories that highlight the superior nature of Naval Warfare.

I will entertain USMC stories as well. Let’s face it. Do we really NEED an army to take care of business?

Well, I have some good friends who are Air Force types, but…

  • OK. that’s it

I’m done posting for a while until after my eye surgery tomorrow. It’s apparent that I’m not I’m not doing too well in the typng department since I can’t see the screen anymore. Yeah, my vision went downhill pretty fast over the last few weeks.

So I’ll be playing pirate with my grandson and I’ll check in when I can.

  • A note of apology?

    Yeah, age is a real bitch;

You may have noticed that recently, I haven’t posted as well or as often as I have in the past. I’ve been having problems with my eyes. The problem began last year when I was diagnosed with cataracts, they’ve finally reached the point where I need surgery which will begin next month.

On the upside, when they’re done cutting my eyeballs up, I probably won’t need glasses for the first time since I was seven years old. In the meantime, don’t feel ignored…it’s hard to read your emails (but don’t stop), and it’s hard to read the news articles, and even harder to type without errors, so please bear with me while I wait for the Walter Reed doctors and nurses to work their magic. My only complaint is that they didn’t do it in December when I first asked them to operate.

This is not to gain your sympathy, just an explanation. Thanks for sticking it out with us.

  • Coming Out of the Closet!

    Sorry TSO, not THAT closet!

Since this IS one of the premier phony chasing sites on the web, and confession is good for the soul… I am an Admiral and have been for sometime!

From here on I expect to be treated as a visiting dignitary by you lesser folk.

I considered posting a pix of me in my full regalia, but I couldn’t possibly compete with some already posted here for sheer grandeur.

BTW, a salute is not required.

  • A week of light blogging

TSO thought it would be a good idea if we both attended the American Legion Convention in Minneapolis this year, so I accepted his offer. Consequently, blogging will be light until I get back from the adventure next Friday. Luckily, there are eleven other people with posting privileges to keep you entertained and I’ll have my trusty laptop and mobile card with me, but I’ll be real busy with my new friends, Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and Al Franken (who TSO tells me will all be there – like he said, it sounds more like Yearly Kos than the American Legion Convention). I hope no one leaves me unsupervised for too long.

Anyway, now you’re up to speed, so don’t abandon us.

  • Our Green Room.

Want to post at TAH? Think you have something to add that we’ve missed?

Our forum now has a board for yer input.

Ain’t a contest, and Jonn says I get to decide???

  • A Reminder…

Won’t make a habit of this, but TAH has a forum. Look up right for the link.

Thing is, I launched the forum just before a local event overwhelmed me.  Others stepped in and the forum is fine now.

Here’s the deal. Any new participant not a regular participant at TAH needs to drop ME an email to ponsdorf at gmail dot com after signing up at the forum. There is a procedure for the forum that’s more complicated, so you decide.

The closing question…  Does TAH even NEED a forum?  If so, how can we make it better??
