Mr Spencer asked me to clarify that once he discovered I was not a LGFer spoiling for a fight, he did in fact apologize. I would simply bump the post in question, but I have roughly as much technological aptitude as the next Amish person who’s never seen a computer, so hope this will suffice.

So, as I stated in that post:

The world’s youngest terror suspect… ready to blow himself up at the age of 11

A would-be suicide bomber aged 11 has been arrested alongside Taliban fighters.

Known only as Abdullah, the youngster was caught crossing the mountains from Pakisrtan’s tribal region into Afghanistan wearing a jacket packed with explosives.

While it is wretched and nearly unconscionable to even envision a kid who should be playing with a stretch-armstrong packing on explosives and heading off for martyrdom, you have way too much faith in the Taliban by calling him the world’s youngest. My guess is that that award goes to this 6 year old who was running around in my old stomping grounds:

FORWARD OPERATING BASE THUNDER, Afghanistan (AP) — The story of a 6-year-old Afghan boy who says he thwarted an effort by Taliban militants to trick him into being a suicide bomber provoked tears and anger at a meeting of tribal leaders.

The account from Juma Gul, a dirt-caked child who collects scrap metal for money, left American soldiers dumbfounded that a youngster could be sent on such a mission. Afghan troops crowded around the boy to call him a hero.

The Taliban don’t care how old you are, whether you are retarded, or even your gender. If you can walk and wear a vest at the same time, you’re perfect for them to kill off.

My name is erin white from jacksonville nc.. i heard about this contest you guys were doing and i am interested in being apart of it. I am a full supporter of the marine corps ..i moved down here from New Jersey back in sept. of 07 when my (then husband) got back from iraq the second time.. i work at hooters and from my experience there ive made the 08 calender, billboards in virgina, florida, and missouri, ive appeared in menu items and table tents, as well as posters for bud and budlight. Ive done bikini contest for hooters where i made 1st in store 2nd in regions making my way to the 08 international hooters pagent in Miami FL. On stage live is where i saluted for the marines and stated ” proudly representing hooters of jacksonville NC home of camp lejuenes united states marine corps”. Which i am VERY VERY proud of the marines and all military for what they have done for our country. I think and pray for them every night and donated signed calendars over seas. Behind the tan and highlights is a real laid back girl.. i never let anythin get to my head. I am still the same person inside. My idea of a good time is a CAN of beer and a sweatshirt chillin with my friends 🙂 … im real down to earth and i love my country thats why i think i would be a good candidate….Thanks !!

Here is the CNN article in question, it talks about the Binghamton, NY (Home of the world famous Speedie Sauce) killer at the Immigration center.

It states:

“There’s several things in there that indicate to myself and the district attorney that suggest mental health issues as well as there may be some religious connotation,” Binghamton Police Chief Joseph Zikuski told 10 News Now, “but until we get a chance to have mental health professionals, have some religious people look at it to determine what it really means, I’m really not going to comment on it any further at this time.”

And then it goes on to talk about his whole mental illness etc. But what the hell does he mean by “have some religious people look at it to determine what it really means…” You aren’t going to write a doctoral thesis on it, how about just letting us know in whose name he claimed to be doing the killing?

I’m guessing it was Spongebob, but I have been wrong before.

Despite my defense of Sgt Coppa, I firmly believe that IVAW should be listed as a subversive organization. Subversion is defined in Title 18 of the United States Code:

Sec. 2387. Activities affecting armed forces generally

(a) Whoever, with intent to interfere with, impair, or influence the loyalty, morale, or discipline of the military or naval forces of the United States:
(1) advises, counsels, urges, or in any manner causes or attempts to cause insubordination, disloyalty, mutiny, or refusal of duty [You mean like Chiroux, Long et al??] by any member of the military or naval forces of the United States; or
(2) distributes or attempts to distribute any written or printed matter which advises, counsels, or urges insubordination, disloyalty, mutiny, or refusal of duty by any member of the military or naval forces of the United States–

Shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both, and shall be ineligible for employment by the United States or any department or agency thereof, for the five years next
following his conviction.
(b) For the purposes of this section, the term “military or naval forces of the United States” includes the Army of the United States, the Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, Naval Reserve, Marine Corps Reserve, and Coast Guard Reserve of the United States; and, when any merchant vessel is commissioned in the Navy or is in the service of the Army or the Navy, includes the master, officers, and crew of such vessel.

And even more damning for IVAW:

Sec. 2388. Activities affecting armed forces during war
(a) Whoever, when the United States is at war, willfully makes or conveys false reports or false statements with intent to interfere with the operation or success of the military or naval forces of the United States or to promote the success of its enemies; or
Whoever, when the United States is at war, willfully causes or attempts to cause insubordination, disloyalty, mutiny, or refusal of duty, in the military or naval forces of the United States, or willfully obstructs the recruiting or enlistment service of the United States, to the injury of the service or the United States, or attempts to do so–
Shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than twenty
years, or both. [taking the rest out since it is largely non-germane]

There is no way on Spongebob’s green Earth you can convince me that IVAW doesn’t meet that definition to a “Tee.” They are even brazen about it:

By having as many people as can be galvanize pose as individuals interested in joining the Army, you, as part of Befriend a Recruiter, can help begin the end of this war. By flooding recruiters and recruitment centers with phone calls, appointments, questions, and smiling faces, we force recruiters to occupy their time and resources on us. By your calling and asking every question you can think of, about all the false opportunities the military offers, you are stealing away recruiters’ ability to successfully recruit.

So, if they made me Sec Def for a day, IVAW would find themselves listed, and they’d have a nano-second to resign or be brought up on charges. But, going after a lowly sergeant for belonging to a group which the DoD hasn’t yet deigned to find as “subversive” seems a misuse of resources.

Sometimes we throw out red meat to get you people all fired up over something. This is like rotten meat here, because I am only bound to piss off the people who are my allies, and all in defense of someone who is nominally my “enemy” in what I think is the most important thing to occur in my life time. But, on the inside of my Citadel ring I have inscribed the words “May life leave my body before honor” and I like to read those words and remind myself from time to time, so I can tread the path I need to with less of a burden. I had a squad leader who once said honor is taking the hard right over the easy wrong. Well, consider this post the hard right, since it brings me little to no pleasure writing it, and will likely alienate some of you.

So, let’s start with a few “what I know”s. IVAW is a wretched group of liars and malcontents. The vast majority can’t get their stories straight, and when they do, they generally espouse positions more to assuage their feelings of guilt than through any logic. I know this because their arguments make no sense whatsoever, and when confronted by that they simply resort to name calling and changing the discussion. Largely I think that immaturity plays a HUGE role, and the fact that at heart they are all anti-social misfits, and they’ve created their little clique and want to fit in. So each tops the previous by being slightly more retarded and inane.
