  • Why is McManus wearing a jockstrap on his head?

That is him being led to Federal Court this morning.

  • The partisan angle on the McManus Affair

I thought the ABC video the other day was rather poor, to be frank. I talked to the reporter REPEATEDLY on this issue, and he refused to move on it until the FBI arrested him because he couldn’t determine it was actually him.

Um, really dude? After I gave you the address, the social security number etc, and you went to the house and a dude wearing a generals star and a CIA hat that somehow managed to match the rank and designation the guy was wearing in the photo…..the keen powers of observation couldn’t deduce it was the same guy until he was arrested. Anyway, what was also buried in the entire thing was the political element. For instance, seek in vain in that video to see how this guy used his service to oppose DADT. There is a reference to the Mayor, but it is fleeting and she disavows knowledge of this clown.

Well, today ABC dug a little deeper, in a well written article by Gene Apodaca:

We have learned Michael Patrick McManus met Councilmember Sue Lovell at a political function a few years ago. She says he was, in fact, wearing the uniform that is now in question. While she says the conversation was brief, a short time later, he did end up with a job at city hall.

“This, in my opinion, is someone who wants to be a hero, wants to be thought of as a hero and they don’t deserve it,” said John Breiden with the American Legion.

And one day after his arrest, we’re learning McManus may have carried out his alleged charade inside Houston City Hall.

“He said that he wanted to come and work for city hall,” said Councilmember Lovell. “We said please send your resume and he did.”

In fact, Lovell was the Vice Mayor pro tem of Houston.

Back on January 19th, almost 3 weeks ago, I covered McManus’ claims of employment. In that post I noted:

CLAIM: MPMC worked as a part of a Personal Security Detail for a US Congressperson from the State of Texas from May 2007-Sep 2007.

FACTS: Working this angle now, there is no way he was PSD for a Republican so, I have someone working on getting me names and phone numbers of Dem Congresspeople from Texas. If I had to guess who he would work for if this were true…. Sheila Jackson Lee. He says “Member of the US Congress” and not “Congressman”. May be nothing, but I will have names and numbers shortly for some enterprising reader to make some calls to see if he ever served for the Member.

Later, Texas Gun Geek* found the proof I was looking for on a wink.com profile which is still up and claims:

Michael Tenzin Chophak McManusliving in Houston, Texas Area
Purdue University • Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee • Personal Security Detail / Bodyguard

    Work
Personal Security Detail / Bodyguard at Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee
    Jun 2007 – Present
    School
Purdue University , BS in Psychology with Minor in Linguistics

That page in turn links to MPMC’s LinkedIn page that has been taken down. I saved EVERYTHING of this guy on line, so if any enterprising reporters *cough * Apodaca * cough * want to keep searching, you should start with Sheila Jackson Lee’s office, at 202-225-3816.

Usually I wouldn’t resort to the media, but they have better local sources, and I bet if we keep digging we can find this gent tied to more Politicians and causes; all of which are tainted by this affair.

    * Visit the Gun Geek and show him some traffic-love!

  • Oily Titz is a Branum-level moron

(NOTE: Leaving tomorrow to go to Washington State, so you won’t have me to kick around anymore….until Monday.)

I loathe birthers. Think they are intellectually dishonest, and tactically moronic. They hurt the conservative cause by aligning themselves with us. But the reality is they are just lunatics. They don’t honestly care where Obama was born, if it wasn’t this, they would start on something else. But, they’ve carved out their little niche, and now are all acolytes to the Great Law Dentist from On High.

But, in addition to being a crackpot, Titz is a total liar, or an idiot, or both. Case in point: yesterday someone that I truly respect, but who unfortunately halfway buys into this nonsense sent along the lattest Dentistry legal update from Oily. Seems she is filing some thing now to have the usurper brought low:

DC Quo Warranto statute §16-351-§16-3503 allows removal from office of any federal officer, Writ of Quo Warranto to be issued in the name of the United States of America against a person, who within the District of Columbia usurps, intrudes into, or unlawfully holds or exercises, a franchise conferred by the United States or a public office of the United States, civil or military.

Now, I don’t know a single thing about Quo Warranto, and seemingly not many other folks do either, because when I looked it up, it was only Oily and her sycophants talking about it. But, either way, I read on in her extremely long and poorly written “Memo on Quo Warranto applicability and enforcement.” I don’t have a link for you since it was sent via email, and when I went to her site, my Norton Anti-Virus about had a complete meltdown. But, let me draw your attention to one thing she writes:

    6. Definition of the Natural Born can be found in the Law of Nations by Emer de Vattel, legal treatise and legal dictionary, quoted in the Constitution and widely used by the framers of the Constitution.

    7. According to the Law of Nations, Natural born Citizen needs to be born in the country to two parents, citizens of the country, not owing allegiance to any other sovereignties. Law of Nations, Emer de Vattel Vol 1, Chapter 19 §212.

Now, how many of you have read “Law of Nations” by Emmerich de Vattel? Yeah, me either. I found that odd, since I don’t remember any of his stuff from any of the 4 Con Law classes I took. So, I started looking in my library at home. I looked in my “Liberty’s Blueprint” book that Caro got me for my Birthday. No reference in there to either Hamilton or Madison being influenced by him. Then I went to my 3 Con Law text books. Nothing. Then I went to this book I have on great legal philosphers, nothing.

How can that be, not only was he “widely used by the framers” but it was quoted in the Constitution. I didn’t remember any footnotes to other sources in the Constitution, so I set out to find out where it was quoted.

And I shit you not, this is what I found on an Oily Titz sycophant site:

Many scholars have said that “natural-born” is not defined in the Constitution, but that we must look to the laws that subsequently developed. However, this is a wrong premise. The Constitution actually does define the requirement, by incorporation of the Laws of Nations. Vattel’s Laws of Nations is referenced in the Constitution, and through legalese, the precepts of the Laws of Nations are incorporated into the Constitution.

But where is that you ask?

    EXCERPT 3: U.S. Constitution, Article I, §8:

The Congress shall have Power…To define and punish Piracies and Felonies committed on the high Seas, and Offenses against the Law of Nations

Yes, Law of Nations is CAPITALIZED, meaning our framers were citing a proper name. There was only one Law of Nations in 1787 officially declared. And yes, Congress has the power to create and enforce ANY LAW mentioned in the Law of Nations written by Emmerich de Vattel! It was sitting right under our noses the entire time.

Hiding in plain sight! That’s right, the framers in their infinite wisdom cited to a book and didn’t tell anyone! Of course, one might also note that in addition to Law of Nations being capitalized, Power, Piracies, Felonies, Seas, and Offenses were all CAPITALIZED as well. which means, that not only were they citing to the book by Vettel, but they also were making Nostradamian references to Obama. It’s all right there! READ A BOOK PEOPLE!!!!11!! The Paulians know what I am talking about.

BTW- Just to give fair warning, since “Law of Nations” is the law of the land now, I found a few problems. For one thing, did y’all know we were supposed to have a Prince all along? I didn’t either. And you know that seperation of Church and State horseshit? Yeah, all lies.

§ 129. Public establishment of religion
But we should take care not to extend this liberty beyond its just bounds. In religious affairs a citizen has only a right to be free from compulsion, but can by no means claim that of openly doing what he pleases, without regard to the consequences it may produce on society.(52) The establishment of religion by law, and its public exercise, are matters of state, and are necessarily under the jurisdiction of the political authority. If all men are bound to serve God, the entire nation, in her national capacity is doubtless obliged to serve and honour him (Prelim. § 5), And as this important duty is to be discharged by the nation in whatever manner she judges best, — to the nation it belongs to determine what religion she will follow, and what public worship she thinks proper to establish.

Now, I suppose it is possible that this guy is just a lunatic, and that Oily Titz has some other reason to believe that Emmerich’s philosophies are the law of the land. If so, I am sure her droogs will show up en masse to enlighten us.

  • More DADT Anal-oh-gees.

Since this morning I can’t stop thinking in “similies, in metaphors!” (Shaka, when the walls fell.)

And so, playing the part of those who want to dump DADT immediately will be the Oregon Highway Division, and playing the part of the policy will be the whale. The motto of this is clear, if you try to blow it up all at once, we are all going to be showered in the Ghey.

As S6R just noted on the phone to me:

A radical policy change like that would go over like a lady stomping grapes.

  • Jurisprudential Special Olympics Winner! How you can help Branum defeat grammar.

    discharge-button
Well, since my post yesterday went over roughly as well as a boisterous fart during the Thanksgiving Dinner blessing, I’ll hold back ridiculing the Birthers and World Nut Daily one more day.  Instead, I’ll go back to the standard classic of goofing on James Branum.

This morning I thought I would look for something wrong with his site.  In less than 5 minutes I filled up a legal pad.

[WARNING: What follows is an orgy of similes and metaphors. It is not intended for young children, expectant mothers, nor retarded Oklahoma based Resistance Lawyers.]

This guy does to the written language what Chris Brown did to Rihanna and romance.  It’s like he has a jihad against spelling and punctuation.  If grammar was a human, it would have been beheaded on YouTube.  It’s like Branum writing is as out of place as Jeffrey Dahmer releasing a cook book of his favorite recipes.  (How to Serve Humans.)  So, I’ll go over a few, but let’s see if you can go over there and identify the legion of errors that populate his shitty site.  Honestly, I would rather have Michael J. Fox do my dental work than read his page, but it is a sacrifice I make for you, my angry readers. He is roughly as accurate as an epileptic sniper. Even a retarded child rises above his level of discourse so quickly that he gets the bends. I would rather run naked, greased up, and blindfolded through the San Fran pride parade than read his stuff. (Then again, I am famously and flamboyantly gay.) He does to the legal profession what Gary Glitter does in Thailand. Anyway, enough of my jackassery.

(Ah screw it, there’s always room for Jello and Jackassery.

I would rather shave my nuts with Greg Louganis’ bloody razor than read his page. His grammar stinks worse than Ted Kennedy’s current suit. His thoughts tumble in his head, making and breaking alliances like underpants in a dryer without Cling Free. His logic is like a little boat that gently drifts across the pond exactly the way a bowling ball does. The flaws in his logic are like a suicide jumper, hitting the pavement like a Hefty bag filled with vegetable soup. His vocabulary is as bad as, like, whatever. He towers above his peers like a Bonsai tree. I would rather do hurdles wearing skinny jeans and a fiberglass thong than try to figure out what he is saying. I would rather teabag a piranha tank too. When his blog disappears, the absence will be unnoticed, like the period after the Dr. on a Dr. Pepper can. His site is like a mix between animal pr0n, midget pr0n, and snuff films except without the artistic merit. His clients get less release than David Carradine in a Bangkok closet. He’s as effective at getting his clients off as a castrati gigolo.

(Thanks to the Sniper and The Donovan for several of those.)

First off, just kinda funny, but he has a link to the “Joy Mennonite Church” that he is apparently VERY involved in. He serves as their “Minister of Peace and Justice.” (This reminds me of my favorite bad guy name/title of all time: Adrian Vlok, Law and Order Minister for the Republic of South Africa.) Well James, Minister of Peace and Justice….Joy Mennonite has your name spelled wrong.

But, why should James give a shit about spelling, after all, he’s not exactly the Spelling Minister for the Republic of Douchebagistan. Take for instance his blog posting about a clemency filling for Victor Agosto. I mean, James, my man, you not only spelled “filing” wrong (he has “flling”), but you also spelled your clients name wrong. (Hint, there are very few folks names “Vcitor.”)

Regarding your links to your law schools and other stuff. Well done in the link to the University of Oklahoma City Law School. That one worked like a champ. You will no doubt be pleased to note that your school moved into the 137th place out of roughly 170 this year. (My law school is only 98 places ahead of yours.) However, your link to New College of California School of Law of San Francisco really ought to come down. The school was so ate up it lost its accreditation. Oh, and the second attempt you made at linking to the Oklahoma Center for Conscience…that isn’t a URL. I don’t know what in the hell you were going for, but not working.

His sentence structure alone makes me want to stab myself in the brain with a crayon dipped in hydrochloric acid. Let’s just start with this sentence:

I take cases based from servicemembers in the South Central Region of the US (see map below) as well as limited G.I. resistance cases from around the world

Dude, what in the holy mother of Spongebob does “cases based from servicemembers” mean? You do know that in English declarative sentences end with a period, right? And how is it you claim here that you do the South Central Region and “limited” GI cases from around the world, and then later that:

I have clients who reside in almost every state of the union and several foreign countries (many members of the US military today are not US citizens).

    Anyway, moving on.

Actually, that’s about it for now I suppose.

Oh, except for this, yes, he really did spell “Lawyer” wrong on his facebook page no fewer than 3 times.

    facebook-page

NOTE: All spelling and grammatical errors in this post are due to the fact that I am like an FBI profiler of stupid. I had to get inside the head of Branum to see how he thinks. And now, if you will excuse me, I will go and eat my frosted flakes out of a bedpan.

  • Gays in the Military: A Pox on the Radicals of Both Sides

I honestly don’t know which is more retarded, VoteVets and their demagoging the issue, or the Center for Military Readiness which apparently thinks Teh Gheys are the biggest threat to readiness out there. I will flat out tell you that with both of these groups on each side, there is no chance I am taking a public position to be in any way affiliated with either of them.

Let’s start with Dicksmith, who responded to this quote from John Boehner:

Boehner predicted that any action on “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” would lead to a “divisive debate” and “do nothing more than distract the real debate that should occur here about helping to get our economy going again and getting American people back to work.”

Now, read that a few times, and reconcile it with Dicksmith’s characterization:

“Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” is a policy that removes brave, qualified American servicemembers from their jobs in service to their country. It would appear that House Minority Leader Rep. John Boehner (R-OH) thinks that gays who have served their country and been removed from service are either not people, or are un-American…Repealing DADT would allow qualified gay troops who have been discharged as a result of the failed, discriminatory policy to return to work. It would also allow qualified gay Americans who have heard the call to service in uniform to serve their country without sacrificing their integrity.

There you have it, John Boehner hates gay folks, thinks they are not people and un-American, and doesn’t realize with the keen insight of Dicksmith that the best way to cut down unemployment is to tackle this issue. I think we can all agree that Dicksmith is 100% retarded, and if he could find a job, anyone should be able to.

But, before anyone jumps to the other side of this debate, I give you the Center for Military Readiness. To my shame, I long ago applied for a job with them. Frankly, I am embarassed I did, but only because I thought the name implied that they were concerned about readiness, and not just Teh Gheys. Just read through the list of “CMR Research & Analysis” on their website if you disagree with my assessment. How many of those readiness issues *don’t* deal with DADT?

Anyway, from an email solicitation from them:

CMR has repeatedly analyzed in well-documented detail how the new LGBT Law would work in actual practice. To make the information more manageable, we have drawn a “picture” in our newest CMR Policy Analysis, titled:

Consequences of the Proposed New “LGBT Law” for the Military

The CMR Policy Analysis uses few words, but every “box” placed on the charts highlights complicated social realities and problems that, taken together, would impose a crushing weight on the men and women of our military. Even a quick review of the flow chart diagrams will impress on you just how radical and problematic mandatory implementation the new LGBT Law would be.

I’ve gone through their chart several times now, and I have no idea what they are getting it. There is no source material for any of the “facts” they give. My all time favorite is found on Page 3, wherein:

Living Conditions Remain Same + “Homosexuality or Bisexuality Whether the Orientation is Real or Perceived” (Proposed LGBT Law) + New Forms of Sexual Misconduct =

    RESULT:
    Three-Fold Increase
    In Misconduct
    Incidents

No empirical or even speculative evidence is given to support this mind you, but there it is.

And this is exactly why I would be reticent to jump in on either side of this debate. You have Dicksmith who thinks that not only is doing away with DADT the panacea for all that ails the military, but also the economy, and the CMR who thinks that all those wiley Gheys are waiting for is for the law to fail and then it will be misconduct for everyone! I initially considered that the rates of men walking around wearing nothing but a kaiser helmet might skyrocket, but then I took into account that The Sniper and S6R are both out. So, who knows.

In the meantime, a pox on the radicals of both sides.

  • And now for something completely different….
