  • Tell me more about that rational gun debate again?

    Well in the time between studying for my test in M6 class I ran into this. It seems that a person by the name Heather Whaley from Moms Demand Action. In the video she calls Senator Corker office and acts completely crazy. See for yourself.

    So yea, that happened. I mean calling a US Senator while pretending to have a mental illness and demanding to own guns is a GREAT way to have a across the board talk right. And plus who can argue with this video has someone firing a AR-15 with the shells labeled with the different mass shootings. Oh and pay no attention to the fact that Combine is cited even though that is when the 1994 Assault ban was in effect.

    This is the demands that the posted.

    Moms Demand Action was founded to demand action NOW to:?

    1) Ban assault weapons and ammunition magazines that hold more than 10 rounds.
    2) Require background checks for all gun and ammunition purchases.?
    3) Report the sale of large quantities of ammunition to the ATF, and ban online sales of ammunition.
    4) Make gun trafficking a federal crime with serious criminal penalties.
    5) Counter gun industry lobbyists’ efforts to weaken gun laws at the state level.

    Which I left them this reply which we shall see how fast they ignore answer it.

    1. Assault weapons have been banned for awhile since you cannot buy a full auto weapon.
    2. The 1996 weapon ban that expired under Bush did not prevent Combine.
    3. Will the background checks be deposed of after they are complete?
    4. The same ATF that allowed guns to go to Mexican Drug gangs even when the dealers warned them about it.
    5. how about enforce the ones we have first before making new ones.

    This person states that he is a Navy SEAL with the rank of SFC. Must be that non-existent merger between that the Navy and the Army that no one heard about. Oh when I said rank he got it and he is still in his teens? Yea and he got promoted to SFC to on the first day. Yep real hard charger there.

    SO, to everyone else that is not a E-7 after leaving reception may want to ask is the military really a good fit for you. But in all seriousness this this is the line that really set this article off.

    He first war is Iraq War and during the battle, he got shot Wounded in leg and arm. Medics bring Madison rushed to base and get healed.

    I do not care what game you are playing, video or airsoft, playing at being wounded and to give the impression that it is real is wrong regardless of his age. I contacted a admin on Wikipedia and the short story is that he is a kid just having fun and to leave it be. The worst part is that the Admin is Military also.

    Becoming a Navy SEAL is a aspiration, getting shot in the arm and leg in combat is not. I do not see how this is not taking away from those who are really injured in combat. Also it seems that one of his photo that he uploaded was taken by someone else of what could be someone else.

    That is the reason that the restrictions on women in combat arms is being challenged. Not even joking.

    When the Pentagon said earlier this year that it would open ground combat jobs to women, it was cast in terms of giving women equal opportunities in the workplace — the military workplace.

    But the move has practical considerations, too. The military needs qualified people to fill its ranks, and it’s increasingly harder to find them among men.

    “It’s fairly common knowledge that our population of military-age young men, who qualify for the military, is declining,” Joint Chiefs Chairman Gen. Martin Dempsey said in an interview with NPR just after the Pentagon announced that women no longer be excluded from ground combat jobs.

    I am confused I thought that we are actively reducing our numbers and not the other way around.

    Too many potential male recruits have criminal records, drop out of high school or have drug problems. In addition, the rising obesity rate is also a factor.

    Yet this was not a issue with Iraq and Afghanistan troop surges were in place? I do not understand this at all, it should be easier not harder due to the fact that the recruiting pool is about the same size and quality it was in 2003. Oh and this is a great little gem.

    “Recruiters anecdotally will have fewer issues with a female applicant than they will with a male,” says Kathleen Welker, who is with the U.S. Army Recruiting Command at Fort Knox, Ky.

    Really because it seems that both genders can bring a equal amount of drama to the table. More about this later.

  • Claims of alleged corruption and sexual misconduct in 841st Engineer Battalion.

    I found this when it was posted by our friends at ARMY WTF. It seems that there are things going on at the 841st Engineer Battalion according to this Captain.

    The following is a video on the falsification of Army training documents, the endangering of Soldiers’ lives, concealment of a sexual assault, and the perpetuation of an atmosphere a sexual harassment at the 841st Engineer Battalion in Miami, Florida.

    To date no one has been held responsible for any of these actions.

    I made this video as a record of my last official act as a commissioned officer in the United States Army.

    The 841st EN BN has fostered a command climate ripe in the demoralizing atmosphere of sexual harassment and corruption.

    Not only have the officers of the 841st EN BN fallen disgracefully short of meeting their moral, ethical and legal obligations to the Soldiers assigned to the unit, but our higher commands – the 926th EN BDE and the 412th Theater Engineer Command, are equally responsible for their lack of oversight and their tacit complicity following my initial reporting of these issues over 1 ½ year ago.

    This is my last avenue for addressing these issues, as I have utilized my chain-of-command, the office of the inspector-general, and even my former-congressional representative, the Honorable Mr. Mario Diaz-Balart and my current representative, the Honorable Ms. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen.

    I personally cannot understand why no one has been held accountable for falsifying training documents, endangering the lives of Soldiers, concealing a sexual assault, and perpetuating an atmosphere a sexual harassment, given the amount of evidence I and others have provided or offered to provide.

  • Out with the old at Fort Sam

    To change subjects I wanted to post that the old barracks at Fort Sam Houston that housed many current and past Army Medics are being demolished as we speak.

    Walls coming down

    This is the building that I graduated from in the Fall of 2006 in Echo 232. I am sure that there are more then a few Army medics that were under its roof for many a days of extended formations and PT sessions. It is just kinda weird seeing it go. I mean I know WHY it had to go but it did not think that it was right not to take a few photos of it before it goes under. The building for Delta 232 is still up but not far behind on the chopping block.

    Oh and if there are those that do not know I am going to M6 School in the Current class of 3-025. It seems that the class has a few people from Echo 232 and were the last class to use the building before it disuse.

    Anyway I will be posting less due to the School work and studying but will read with I can. Also If there is any LPNs that would like to offer help or advice it will always be welcomed.

  • Police drunk on the job.

    Well it looks like in certain areas of Chicago have been found Police officers under the influence of alcohol on the job. What makes it noteworthy is that according to a investigation reported by NBC that would allow them to work under the influence.

    Many suburban departments actually have clauses in their union contracts which prevent any kind of discipline for officers with substantial amounts of alcohol in their systems — even those nearing the state definition of legally drunk, an investigation by the Better Government Association and NBC Chicago reveals.

    “I worry about it every day,” said Sam Pulia, the mayor of west suburban Westchester.

    Pulia, himself a former Westchester police officer, tried unsuccessfully to stop ratification of his department’s union contract which only allows discipline against officers when they hit an alcohol level of .05.

    So are the Police Unions allowing members to not be fire for drinking on the job? Will it take someone being killed before this changes? Why is this being tolerated?

    “It’s absolutely outrageous. These are collective bargaining agreements in which police unions have somehow forced police departments to allow high levels of alcohol in the bloodstreams of cops when they’re on the job,” Shaw said.

    If the Unions want a pay increase then one of the thing that should be changed this policy now. Because who wants to explain a incident like this because they were buzzed.
