Yes. We’re fixing SoS for supper, with green beans, dilled carrots, cornbread w/lots of butter, chocolate mousse, and a testy little white wine. (That is testy, not TASTY.)
And here I was, hoping that would be the Ft. Myers airport.

And I’m also on my way to Casa de SEA out of Chicago. The TSA guys looked a little confused about the coconuts and drywall screws in my carryon bag, until I mentioned they were for the DRG. That’s when I got the smile and knowing nod. And fast tracked through the line.
Seriously. 5 minutes to get through security at O’Hare? That’s got to be some sort of record.
The five minute delay to get through TSA has to do with the previous week’s 3.5-hour delay to do the same thing. Too many people missed their flights, too many had to stay overnight, etc., so someone got fired.
Come on! Everyone knows that Hondo is only 40 miles West of Slammintonio.

Can’t tell them where you are because, like, I really don’t know where you are or who you are, Hondo. And I wouldn’t tell them even if I did know either of those things.
What I can share with them is that you are NOT Alan Shepard and you are not currently occupying the space station. (Actually, you might be either of those, but that discussion is for another time.) You are NOT OWB and you do not live at casa OWB. THAT one I absolutely do know for sure. (Or do I?)

Completely concur with that, Hondo. Think I met him once or twice, but that rememberer thing is fading in and out today. Or maybe I just think it is. (It’s been a very long week.)
Heard so great stories from some folks who knew him very well.
I read, recently, of the DRG naming someone, as someone whom they are not. Then in conversation with one of the wrongly named people, I have learned that the DRG is in for a real “Shit your pants” surprise on this. As Gomer Pyle so loved to say: “Surprise, surprise.”.
One can only hope.
