What a Low Life Scumbag

Words fail me on this.

https://www.militarytimes.com/news/2018/08/22/man-tried-to-sell-veteran-grave-markers-for-scrap-police-say/

EBENSBURG, Pa. — A man was arrested in New York after authorities allege he tried to sell nearly 1,000 pounds of veteran grave markers believed to have been stolen from western Pennsylvania.

State police in New York say 29-year-old Ronald Cichinelli Jr. of Johnstown faces charges of criminal possession of stolen property. – Article

Low life steals brass grave markers, an understatement by AW1Ed.

Okay, brass, aluminum and copper have cash value at the recycling centers. The one I go to with cat food cans gives me $1.00/lb. for aluminum. They don’t want steel dog food cans, just aluminum. They gave me a nice price on the dead motor for my furnace because it had copper wiring.

This jerk’s behavior is unforgivable. Period.

Stone grave markers, standing or flat, are a better idea.

Ex-PH2 and AW1Ed:

You both are TOO kind to call Ronald Cichinelli Jr. a “Lowlife” and “Scumbag”…

Am sure there are other adjectives that can be used for him.

Any volunteers?

😉

AW1Ed

Paging API, call for API, A Proud Infidel, call on the white courtesy phone..

5, 4, 3, …

A Proud Infidel®™

Fresh dogshit on the sidewalk is a million times more worthy of respect than Ronald Cichinelli Jr.

Retired Master

I really miss the Tower of Insults for lowlifes like this

AW1Ed

I knew I could count on you, API.

*grin*

COCKSUCKER!!!

Take ALL of the markers, tie them to his feet and HANG HIM…! Should be enough weight to rip his worthless head off!! imo

J.R. Johnson

There should be some kind of statute to raise the misdemeanor to a felony when you have “1,000 lbs”. Maybe they could get him for desecration of a grave.

Mason

It would depend on the cash value. If pot price for bronze is low, then it’s a misd. He would be subject to federal law since he crossed state lines, but that’s a long shot.

RGR 4-78

Last June the price for scrap brass in my AO was $1.25 per pound. Bronze should be about the same.

5JC

Not exactly, at least not in my state. It would be hundreds of misdemeanors with each family a victim.

Fyrfighter

I’d make a motion for the “Continent of Insults” (apologies if i’m behind on the correct title)..

A Proud Infidel®™

I second that motion.

Commissioner Wretched

And I will add the necessary “Aye!” vote.

2/17 Air Cav

When I saw the title of this post, I thought, “That narrows it down to any one of 3 million people, 435 of whom are in Congress and a couple on the Supreme Court.”

Very well reasoned

Assemble rope, tree, and perp. Using any derogatory adjective to describe this POS is a slap in the face to derogatory adjectives every where. I mean, just DAMN, get a freakin job, people are hiring every day every where. There is no hole deep enough, under any jail or landfill, for this scum. Oh and BTW, if you are too sorry, lazy, and good for nothing to work, I understand the antifa/hate groups are looking for help in destroying Veteran’s Memorials. Apparently you have skills and morals like they are needing.

Skyjumper

And there is this SOB that stole hundreds of grave markers for years from the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery that he then used to re-tile floors on his property, remodel a carport and a foundation for a shed.

What the %&@?! was he thinking, driving over veterans headstones!

We definitely need an airstrike with a MOAB called in on this piece of worthless crap!

The name pusbucket comes to mind. Took some time to amass nearly 1000 pounds. Tip of the hat to the metal reclaimer who did the right thing and ratted him out. I’d settle for several hundred hours reinstalling the markers plus a few hundred more hours squaring away the facility. At least that way society would get some benefit from his heartless soul. Couple LEOs I know say this happens more than one might think. Also, they say almost all metal thefts are done to buy drugs. In subdivisions under construction, I’m told this is a real problem, stealing copper. So, a $6K AC unit is destroyed to get $50 or so copper. Wonder if insurance will cover that? Churches in the area are a popular target. Mine has two barriers to entry. They can get in, but it will take some time and all the while they are in view of passing traffic. Pusbucket. I like it. Consider it my donation to the Wall of Insults if it has not already been claimed.

Mason

Very common, as you say, and for the reasons you cite. You’d be surprised at how much work some people put into thieving.

It is entertaining when they either gas themselves or blow themselves up stealing copper natural gas lines.

A Proud Infidel®™

Even better when they electrocute themselves while trying to steal copper from energized wiring!

BigJohn

You can’t use copper for natural gas lines.

AW1Ed

That or farm barns and sheds, looking for anhydrous ammonia. It’s a fertilizer that also happens to be a critical ingredient making in crystal meth.

A Proud Infidel®™

A few years ago they started putting red dye in said ammonia, the result being a reddish colored product when used for making meth. Those who smoked it ended up with pink teeth while those shooting it ended up with a pink dot on their arm. The meth junkies didn’t give a rat’s ass roachshit what they were doing to their bodies with that shit, they cared more about how it left them looking!

Mason

Red teeth (if they have any teeth left) and a red dot would be the least of my concerns with using meth. That stuff is straight poison, rotting away everything about a person in the most disgusting manner possible. Those faces of meth billboards and posters understate the transformations people go under in as little as a year on that crap.

BigJohn

My cat, NumbNuts does the same thing!

HMC Ret

Same here with my cat, Kitty. Also, Kitty is like a fat girl on a donut for the tape on packages. I swear, when we get an Amazon package, Kitty goes nuts until we strip off the tape. He then rolls on it, chews it, sleeps with it, etc. He won’t swallow it but does everything else. I think he can smell the Fedex/UPS truck as it approaches with our Amazon package.

Re addition to meth, opioids, etc.: There has been a PSA running on TV for a while. The announcer asks if you know what a person will do to try to legitimately be prescribed heavy duty pain medicine (oxy, etc.). It shows a man holding a hammer while looking at his hand. The camera fades away followed by the sound of the hammer smashing his hand. It then shows an x-ray of his hand with several bones obviously fractured. I have also heard of people harming their dog or cat, usually by breaking a leg or something similar. They then go to the vet and their animal is prescribed pain medicine. When our dog got very old and was in obvious pain, the vet prescribed Tramadol, which is for minor to medium pain. I don’t believe Tramadol would be strong enough to satisfy the cravings of a person addicted to opioids.
