Monday morning feel good stories

From Santa Fe, New Mexico;

Officers were attempting to arrest the suspect after discovering a stolen vehicle in the driveway.

The male suspect apparently got into the patrol car and put it in drive.

The Santa Fe officer was trying to remove the suspect from the driver’s side door but ended up knocked down and pinned between the car and a tree.

Authorities say the officer fired one shot, striking the suspect in the abdomen.

The suspect died at the scene.

Too bad about the officer (presumably he was hurt). Hope he makes a full and speedy recovery.

Also too bad about the tree (presumably it was also injured). Hope it also makes a full and speedy recovery.

No sympathy for the deceased perp. Hope he “enjoys” eternity in the Infernal Regions.

I too wish the Officer the quickest road to complete recovery.
Nature will take its course with the tree.
What about the cruiser? Those Crown Vics are getting harder to find.
Damn shame.

Ex-PH2

I wish the officer a speedy recovery.

I’m deeply concerned about the tree.

Dangerous business, trying to remove a thug from a vehicle by physical force rather than firepower. So thankful the officer wasn’t killed or seriously injured. A FDNY EMT wasn’t so fortunate recently when some idiot thug stole her ambulance and ran over her with it. And she wasn’t allowed to be armed and able to end the threat.

ALVO

Hopefully the tree didn’t lose too much bark and the officer makes a full and speedy recovery. Prep got EXACTLY what he asked for.
