An intruder forced his way into a Miami, Florida home and he was promptly shot by the homeowner and sent to the hospital. He was the only person injured in the encounter.
In Benton, Arkansas, an off-duty police officer stopped a bank robbery when he shot the criminal. Joseph Edward Turner Jr. was DOT (dead over there) at the hospital.
