Armed 40-year-old Lee Brandenburg thought he could win back his girlfriend by smashing her picture window and forcing his way into her home in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He tried it once in April, too, but it resulted in a warrant for his arrest after he failed to show up in court. This time, the girlfriend’s father intervened with several gunshots to Brandenburg’s legs which drove the point home. The unrequited lover will face burglary charges when he gets out of the hospital.
Kelly McGillis, the female lead in the movie “Top Gun”, was accosted in her North Carolina home. She had a gun and an alarm system, but she failed to use them both. Laurence Marie Dorn assaulted the actress as McGillis tried to call the police. McGillis has decided to get her concealed carry permit as a result of the encounter. She’s lucky – many victims don’t get the chance to make that decision after they’ve had an encounter with criminals. Looking at the target at the link, she’s a pretty good shot. The next story about her being a victim may include a DRT result.
Two men, in Everett, Washington, forced their way into a home by kicking in the door and they demanded money from the occupants they found there. Another resident heard the commotion and came in from another room armed and shot the two thieves. One escaped and the other was DRT (dead right there). Police are expecting the wounded criminal to show up at the hospital.
A homeowner in Hoosick, New York confronted an intruder in his home and gave him a blast in the chest from his 12-guage shotgun. The intruder is in the hospital coughing up birdshot.

I think this has more to do with the paranoid wet dream that if you have a gun, you automatically want to shoot the people who don’t want you to have it. They forget, as those idiots in the House sit-in, that not one of them is worth the actual cost of a bullet, which is what? About $.50? No one with any sense is going to waste that kind of money on those morons.
