Trump vs. Clinton… a dogfight I’d pay to see

The single factor driving Donald Trump’s popularity more than any other is his willingness to proclaim publicly those politically incorrect truths the public yearns to hear, yet which few other Republican candidates will utter for fear of media backlash. Those self-censoring candidates should have taken closer note of the wave of favorable public response when some of those candidates pushed back against liberal debate moderators. But instead of riding that wave of popular sentiment, for the most part, they have let their old fears of politically correct blowback force them back into their narrow campaign kennels, meekly muzzled by the mainstream media. In a way, it’s hard to condemn them; they’re like old dogs fearing to bark because they’ve been beaten for doing so by the liberal media since they were political puppies. Sure, Cruz and Christie tend to have a low tolerance for media arrogance, but even they appear meek compared to the indomitable Donald, the big dog who won’t stop barking and very frequently biting.

That tendency to bite has to have the Clintons worried because if Donald ends up dog on dog against Hillary, there’s not going to be any pussyfooting around the Clintons’ sordid history, folks. Nope, it’s going to be a full-on, cold-nosed sniff-out of every skeleton in that closet that the Clintons and their loyalists have managed through deceit and deception to keep jammed closed to the American public. Where any other Republican opponent might make oblique references to the Clinton scandals of the past, you can bet that the Big Dog will be digging in those closets and dragging those malodorous political and moral skeletons out and chewing them to pieces, bone by fetid bone.

Like millions of Americans, I’m put off by Trump’s clownery, much of which I suspect is an act, a persona adapted for the campaign which permits him to carry off the role of the non-politician attack dog. But I also suspect I’m like millions of Americans in being delighted at seeing a candidate who is demonstrating that in a campaign dogfight, he’ll not only be chasing Hillary all over the pen nipping at her more than ample hindquarters, but that he’ll also go roaring straight into that doghouse mansion where she’s been hiding Ol’ Bill and drag that greying old hound (wink-wink) out by the scruff of his neck, puttin’ a whuppin’ on his legacy that’s been needed for a long, long time.

I’d pay to see that dogfight, even if the price of admission is a vote for Donald Trump.

  1. Now I’m not saying it’s going to happen but everyone take a moment and repeat after me…
    President Trump
    President Trump
    President Trump
    PRESIDENT TRUMP!

/well he can’t screw things up any worse than “President” Ballrog, HUSSEIN, Sombrero, Fresh Prince of Bill Ayers, al-Chicago, Chocolate Jesus, B-Rock the Islamic Shock, Barky McTeleprompter, Wizard of Uhhs, BoBo the Clown, Oblahbla, Jug Ears, Little BO Peep, Saunas breach akimbo, Waffles The Clown, Borborygmos Hammerhiem, The Rainbow King, Bukkake O’Bunga, OBIGOT, El Jefe Chocholate, “Jace the Mindsculpter”, Hopey McChangeypants, Oyobi, Bonzo the Time Traveler, La Bamba yo’ Mamma, Samurai Kebab Nachos, Barackabeedoobeedoobeedo, Hussein-In-The-Membrane, Black Thunder, Dr. Utopia, Obamarambo, Fartbongo, II”

    1. a Lance Coconut straight outta SOI could do a better job than these aristocrats.

I enjoy seeing Hillary squirm….but that’s another fantasy.

      1. Dude, I can understand being a chubbychaser–not my taste, but I can understand it. But seriously, there’s laws against whaling.

        1. It’s just for the been there done that aspect and if she gets elected she’s gunna fukk all of us, so turnabout is fair play.

gimme them cankles and stand by to scream Hil…who’s yo dadday?

            1. A Vixen non-swimsuit? Must you? Not unless she gets about $150K worth of sculpting and tucking.

Now, Liddy in a banana hammock – did he stuff that thing?

            2. Ok…first off fukk that Liddy picture. lol

              Second:

Hil’s no Janet Reno, but if Hil looks even half that good I’d spin her around stick it right up her turd cutter and cross choke her with those swimming suit straps.

    2. And “Obolo”, “Obozo”, “BOdaPrez”, “Moochelle’s Beard”, “OBaoMao”, “O’Bama” (his “Irish” ancestry), “OBowDown”, “OBoloCare”.

This is fun. I may copy all these and save them on a document for future reference.

  2. Indeed Poe I agree that much of “The Donald” is an act well acquired through reality television and simple understanding of what sells…

No matter what anyone thinks of our candidates left or right or centrist they aren’t really idiots. They’re smart, if spineless, talented people. Donald Trump isn’t a dumb guy either and he actually understands his customers which is why many of his properties do quite well.

The electorate is tired of the same horse shit over and over, it’s why Jeb is polling at under 5% nobody wants to hear that same lame message from a different version of Bush.

Trump is a fiery, loudmouthed success story. He points out that the “insiders” have screwed the pooch on immigration, the GWOT, and the economy with a massive boondoggle over health care and the public agrees with that sentiment in spite of all the liberal proctoring to the contrary…

It might not make him electable, but it sure makes this go round at primary time a hell of a lot more interesting and entertaining.

Bomb ISIS until they’re dead, kill their families to protect our families, build a wall and stop the invasion of illegals these are not outrageous to the general public.

I agree with your assessment this would be quite interesting to watch unfold should it go this way.

    1. I can honestly see Shrillary becoming confused in a debate and start babbling incoherent thoughts. She’s getting pretty old and supposedly she has had many instances of confusion from what I have heard.
I wouldn’t be surprised, the libs are out of candidates and they know it.
There is no excitement anywhere in that party for her, it is only, her turn…

      1. Hey! I’m older than shrillary, Stixx.

I don’t have confused, incoherent thoughts. I do giggle a lot for no apparent reason, but when you visit TAH, well….

    1. Part of this “readiness” to tackle the Clinton’s is Donald’s act. He’s conveying the idea that the primaries are already over with, he’s anointed himself the winner, and is demonstrating that he’s taking on the dem nominee.

  3. The only real difference between Trump and the lame-duck Glorious Leader is the letter that comes after their names. Both are incompetent blowhards with zero respect for the Constitution who advance by dazzling people with bullshit.

And das Hildebeast, of course, is an evil cunt.

I don’t have high hopes for the next four years.

  4. Must admit that Trump would not have even made my list of those who I would select as my next President. But, after seeing him in action as a candidate, I’m more than pleased to see someone, anyone, force my most important issues into everyday discussion and reporting. It is beyond refreshing. For that alone I would vote for him without reservation.

Plus, it will be great to vote for someone instead of simply against his/her opponent. It’s been a while. Unless something very strange occurs, the front runners, and many of those lagging behind, would all get my support. That may not be saying much since I’d vote for nearly anyone instead of sHillary.

  5. Clinton vs Trump–setting itself up to be the single hardest question I’ve ever had to answer.

    1. If that ends up being the question, I’ve already decided that my answer is going to be “Clinton”. And I’m damned unhappy about it. But I think that Hillary will be a somewhat smaller disaster than The Donald.

Maybe Jim Webb will run as an independent. Or the Libertarians will nominate someone decent.

Or maybe – please, God, let it be so! – the Republicans will nominate someone (anyone!) other than Trump.

      1. Bill, that means you will be responsible for the gun grabbing liberals that Hillary appoints to the Supreme Court.

        Elections have consequences…

        1. If that happens, you have my permission to administer thirty lashes with a wet noodle. Still better than the pain of that noxious blowhard.

          1. Poetrooper brought up a legit concern of that psycho hippocrite cankles
Bitch being elected, and you refer to wet noodle lashes? You fucking idiot.

            1. But in case I wasn’t clear – I have no illusions about Hillary. I hate her. If she’s elected President I have no doubt that she will do damage to this country. So as between Hillary and Donald, it’s not a matter of who I like the best. It’s who I hate the least. And who I think will do the least damage to this country. And I’m deathly afraid that that loose cannon son-of-a-bitch will do more damage than Hillary. I don’t think he stands for anything other than flapping his gums and drawing attention to himself.

I fervently hope, however, that I will have another alternative to those two. Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, Carly Fiorina, Chris Christie, Jeb Bush, Mike Huckabee, Jim Webb…anyone.

      2. Funnily enough, I might be on the other side of that choice. I don’t want another Clinton or Bush in the White House for the very simple reason that I feel, in the long term, anything that encourages political dynasties runs counter to the very notion of a democratic society. You mean to tell me that of the hundreds of millions of people we have here, two of the most qualified happen to be related to previous Presidents? Screw that.

I think The Donald could be bad (but maybe not so bad, since I think the President wields less power than people assume), but I know that dynastic candidates are a bad thing. It’s a roll of the dice.

I’m not sure yet, and we’re a long ways off from the election, but that’s the quagmire I’m in.

And I think the (insider) Republicans do want to nominate someone other than Trump – which is why several of the candidates were putting together a SuperPAC to take him on not long ago. But it’s a delicate dance because if he runs as an independent, the Republicans are likely to ensure a Clinton win.

I give Rubio and Cruz a chance. The question is what’ll happen as other candidates fold – do their supporters rally behind other establishment candidates, as most suspect they will? Or do they go with Mr. Trump as the voters seem to want him?

  6. Trump vs the Clintons would be no different than watching kindergarteners argue.

    “You’re a poopy head!”

    “You’re a poopy face!”

It might be interesting theater for about 5 seconds, but then again people love watching train wrecks as well.

Finally, while I am the last person to complain about other people’s appearance, is it just me or does Trump look like Jeff Dunham’s “friend” Walter with hair?

    http://tinypic.com/r/33woylw/9

    (just sayin’)

  7. Yep. If that “debate” (more like a Clintoon debacle) were ever televised, I’d record it and burn it to a DVD for my g’children’s posterity. That, and to get a good guffaw whenever I chose.

  8. Ah yes, the loud-mouthed, scumbag, draft-dodging, side-switching, super cadet ranger is the one to save America and lead us all back to glory!
Entertaining as a fight between him and Hillary might be, I cannot risk having him as my commander in chief. Liberals: Please vote for Bernie! Conservatives: Please vote for someone else! Libertarians: Please vote for one of the Koch brothers or something!

  9. This could be the first election since I’ve been able to vote that the presidential spot on the ballot is blank when I submit it.

  10. The Party will close Trump out, because they can’t handle him and won’t try. If Trump attempts to go Independent, it’s possible he’ll sink the Republican nomination. For all of his tinsel, I don’t think he’s that shallow — he’ll fold up his tent and go home.

And as far as a debate with Hillary, I could give a **** about the Clinton presidency. Hillary has more than enough in her time as SoS for him to hammer her flat. I want to see him stick to what’s wrong with Hillary now, not what was wrong with her philandering husband almost twenty years ago.

    1. That’s why I’m hoping Sanders goes independent and steals the wind outta Hill’s sails and assures a GOP win.

I will then console her, yeah that’s it, console her.

      1. Sanders worries me. He’s anti-gun, and while he seems to be milk-toast now, nobody makes his kind of money without being a juggernaut. I think Sanders is an elitist who would burn the Constitution on the front steps of the White House at his Inauguration.

        1. I look at him like gonorrhea a lot people are afflicted but most people aren’t and never will be…his numbers can pull votes away from Hil, but no way he’s gonna have the numbers to win.

  11. Trump is a blowhard. He’s abrasive, aggressive and frequently displays bad taste and worse manners in what he says. Most of that is bluster, because he just LOVES to get attention. What real experience does he have in managing a political entity, i.e., the US government, including the DoD, both Houses of Congress, the GAO, the IRS, FBI, CIA, DIA, etc., etc., etc.?

    Zip.

I don’t see him as a disaster in the making. I would love to see him pull every bit of dark and dirty whatever out of its hiding place and rub shrillary’s nose in it.

But his management style is firing people who don’t agree with his ‘style’, whatever that is. He has no plans to reduce the national debt, rebuild the military to a real readiness level (which we may need in the near future) or, frankly, anything beyond his next opportunity to spout off in public and on TV. That is not governance. It is attention-whoring.

I doubt that a debate between Trump and shrillary would last very long, because her speech pattern has gone to a slow, deliberate crawl, whereas his is rapid-fire.

I truly think he does not have any answers to real questions. On the other hand, he might actually come to it, well-prepared to do something besides slam his opponent. Personal attacks are NOT debating issues. He has yet to show any interest in real issues, but really does seem to enjoy pointing out everyone else’s flaws. And remember, if people in government disagree with him about something, he can’t exactly fire them.

Well, he can have a whale of a good time doing that to shrillary, can’t he?

But what are his solutions to real problems? What are his answers?

Same thing with shrillary: what answers does she have? She’s going to put solar panels on every home in America, whether the homeowner wants them or not, whether the home is suited to them or not. That’s how she started her campaign. What’s her plan for anything other than lining her own pockets?

All I hear is crickets. I think we can do better than either of these bimbos.

    1. Amen.

Hopefully the Republicans can find a way to kick Trump to the curb, because I think many of the other Republican candidates would be excellent alternatives to Hillary.

    2. “I think we can do better than either of these bimbos.”

That might just be wishful thinking. Mind you I agree, but would change “can” to “could”.

There’s the rub… Reckon that makes me a pessimist, or maybe a realist????

      1. Aaah, Zero – we still have some months to go before the sorting out process takes over.

Sanders appears to be ready to bolt for an independent ticket, leaving the barn door with open for shrillary. Biden hasn’t said ‘yes’ or ‘no’, has he? Or did I miss that?

So who’s left? I have no desire to see any sort of dynasticism in our political system, therefore, NOT JEB! That crap started with the Kennedys and until they are all dead, it won’t stop. I would, frankly, rather see someone like Old Hickory (Andrew Jackson), or one of those other 19th century people in the seat in WDC. They were certainly not perfect, but they at least had a sense of what it meant to have the job, instead of an opportunity to waste tax money on drivel and personal appearances.

I know why the press doesn’t like Ryan Walker. It’s because he’s viewed as a union buster. But the rest of it – well, we do need someone whose head is NOT in the sand, and that is not shrillary, and frankly, I don’t think it’s Trump, either. So why not Rubio or Cruz? Maybe they’re holding back until the smoke clears. Whatever, the democraptastic press will look at both of them and anyone NOT shrillary and try to rip them a new one.
Why is Trump so popular? Because he just does not give a crap what the pressies think of him. If he did, he wouldn’t run his mouth the way he does.

        1. If it might be any consolation – you and I (at least) appear to be a voting bloc?

          Trump, Clinton, or Sanders?

You mentioned Old Hickory and his likely motivations. There are others from the past I might propose, but fact is many/most would be so befuddled by our times they’d just hop back in their deLorean and go home.

        2. Well, it’s the personality that Old Hickory had that I was thinking of. He was a leader. He fought the Brits in the irregular militia and was a battle-hardened veteran by age 15. He held New Orleans and blocked the Brits with a motley mixed group of militia, pirates, freed slaves, and locals, and when he was told that his troops wouldn’t get paid, he paid them out of his own pocket. He made sure they got home.

He also had a temper and I think he was probably as blustery as Trump, too. No, Trump isn’t stupid, but he may or may not understand the serious need for a real defense force. We’re in for volatile, rough times ahead and we need someone who can handle the load.

        3. Biden has missed the cut off date for a couple of the early voting states to get him name on the ballot, so essentially he’s said no.

  12. There’s a lot about Trump I do know and whole lot I do not know. Specifically in regards to how he would actually lead our country as opposed to what he proclaims. So he is politically, an unknown quantity. Given the choice though between Trump’s unknown quantity and the very real and known quantity that would be Hillary AND Bill (quietly advising her in the West Wing.) Clinton…I’ll take my chances with the unknown. I realize there is a lot at stake in my statement. In fact it is no less than the fate and future America itself. But knowing that Hillary will be both a Bill Clinton and Obama rolled into one and by an order of magnitude worse for our nation’s life and future, still I would have to vote for Trump.

  13. Trump isn’t successful because he’s dumb. While he may take the credit for all HE has done in the business world, he has to be surrounded by rather smart people to advise him and carry out his edicts. If elected, I feel he’ll do the same thing and bring on the best and brightest staff of advisory personnel that he can latch onto.

Now getting along with Congress to get things done…. that could be interesting.

    1. Another interesting thought: the POTUS buying off Congress instead of lobbyists and special interest groups.

        1. And that sentence right there is the pinnacle example of what is going on and wrong in America…
I will vote for whoever will pay off my student loans, car loans, business loans, give me a free phone, free health care, free food, free housing and a blow job every Thursday night…

          1. Oh, I almost forgot, I will vote for anyone that will give me free Glocks, Remington 700’s a free box of ammo a week and a pair of pearl handled .44-40’s !!!

          2. Yep. We live in an “entitlement” society.
“Can’t pay off a debt that you legally incurred? Don’t worry about-we’ll hang it on the taxpayers.”

            1. great idea…my vote will now go for full student loan forgiveness, a 2015 corvette, and matching Glock .45s

get off your fekking soapbox…I was kidding

  14. Two self-serving blowhards.

This is the worse batch of candidates (both sides) I have ever seen.

I guess in the end I just will have a shot(x6) and flip a coin before I vote.

The end game might just wind up being the same.

  15. there is no way in hell I’d ever vote for billery not now not ever. tump make way better sense then any of the above… screw bush and the rest of the big Donor snakes…

  16. I remain convinced that Trump is all form and no substance. Each time I see him mugging the camera, I become more convinced. But no way would I ever vote for shrillery. Hoping for Cruz. Waiting for The Donald sex tape to be released and make him irrelevant. My fear is that the dems won’t release it until October.

  17. 1) The problem is not deciding who is the best person to be President in the land, it is in choosing the least worst of the two flaming assholes who wind up on the tickets.

    2) The largest disenfranchisement is the ‘winner-take-all’ system, wherein if you are a minority party voter in most states (ie: R in CA, D in TX) your vote essentially does not count.

  18. That’s exactly it David. The divide and conquer strategy has perpetuated an exclusively two party system. People get a “Rah Team!” mentality and reflexively vote party lines which assures no independent can have even the remotest chance at winning. With that, I can’t help but believe the two parties are essentially in cahoots anyway and there is little that can be done to make any substantive change no matter who sits in the oval office.

  19. Asked for my absentee ballot today. I already know who I’m voting for in the primary.

And it sure as shit isn’t either one of these two clowns.
