Andy Quach; phony SEAL back in the news

We wrote last year about Andy Quach, the Westminster, California councilman who pretended he was a Navy SEAL. In spite of his lies and his bad behavior, he continues to get reelected out there. Well, he was arrested the other day for DUI according to a link that someone sent us this morning;

Councilman Andy Quach, once seen as an up-and-coming politician in Orange County, crashed his 2003 Mercedes-Benz into a metal security gate at the Cinnamon Creek Apartments at 15123 Brookhurst St. in Westminster on Monday morning, according to the city’s police department.

Quach, 42, was detained by residents of the complex until police arrived, Westminster Police Commander Dan Schoonmaker said in a statement.

  4. A councilman!!!! You gotta be shittin me! I saw the photo and thought this must be some perp for armed robbery or home invasion. What the hell kind of voters are electing this ass hole? It looks like he talked shit to the officers too and got the Quach beat out of him. I can only hope.

      1. Quach’s in Westminster, home of Little Saigon which is pretty solidly Republican. I imagine he’s part of one of the many Little Saigon political machines that will just keep him elected to his small town gig and maybe move him on to higher office (oh please no).
        It’s notable that the LA Times headline is: “Westminster councilman arrested on DUI charges again”
        “again”?
        Yeah, here’s the LA Times on the other time he decided to roll the dice:
        “The councilman was arrested in 2009 after he collided with another car, struck a concrete wall and severed a power pole, knocking out electricity to more than 300 homes.
        “A blood test revealed that he had a blood-alcohol level of more than three times the legal level, according to officials. He later pleaded guilty to the DUI charges.”
