For some reason, everyone seems to be surprised that Hillary Clinton has criticized the President for his lack of a foreign policy. Well, I’m not. She’s running for president in 2016, why wouldn’t she distance herself from what is clearly the biggest Charlie Foxtrot since Jimmy Carter? From the Atlantic;
Of course, Clinton had many kind words for the “incredibly intelligent” and “thoughtful” Obama, and she expressed sympathy and understanding for the devilishly complicated challenges he faces. But she also suggested that she finds his approach to foreign policy overly cautious, and she made the case that America needs a leader who believes that the country, despite its various missteps, is an indispensable force for good. At one point, I mentioned the slogan President Obama recently coined to describe his foreign-policy doctrine: “Don’t do stupid shit” (an expression often rendered as “Don’t do stupid stuff” in less-than-private encounters).
This is what Clinton said about Obama’s slogan: “Great nations need organizing principles, and ‘Don’t do stupid stuff’ is not an organizing principle.”
She softened the blow by noting that Obama was “trying to communicate to the American people that he’s not going to do something crazy,” but she repeatedly suggested that the U.S. sometimes appears to be withdrawing from the world stage.
Sometimes, doing nothing is being stupid, too. Withdrawing from the world stage is fine, but someone has to be there to fill the void – that’s why Putin is stepping up in Europe and the Chinese are filling the void in the Pacific.
But, back to Clinton – everyone can see what a failure is this administration, so they’ll be an easy act to follow and Clinton hopes that she can appear to be a better choice than the Obama folks. But the failures of this administration are ideological in nature – it’s not a failure of the man. The whole liberal worldview is corrupt to it’s core.
Remember when the liberals told us that when the US pulled out of Iraq, it’d be a peaceful wonderland of playgrounds and commerce? That the only reason there was death and destruction was because American troops were there. We were encouraging terrorism by being in that country. Well, that turns out to be much less accurate than anyone could imagine – well, except for the people who don’t walk around in rose-colored glasses.
How would things be different under Clinton? It wouldn’t – the liberal view of the world with the US at the root everything evil that happens would survive the election and drive our foreign policy. Remember that it was the Clinton State Department in conjunction with the Office of the Vice President that failed to negotiate a status of forces agreement with Iraq which led to our early withdrawal there.
By the way, according to Politico, Clinton isn’t the only one distancing herself from the President;
Faced with a treacherous political environment, many Democrats are trotting out campaign ads that call for balanced budgets, tax cuts and other more traditionally GOP positions. Some of them are running in congressional districts that just two years ago broke sharply for President Barack Obama.

…and we are expected to forget that she played a major role in developing the Obama Administrations Foreign Policy.
Yes, but I have to ask, coutesy of H. Wide Load, “What difference does it make?”
Wide Load is not a candidate. She is a presumed candidate. She does not hold elective office. She no longer, thank goodness, holds appointed office. She is a private citizen. It pisses me off that her opinion about anything matters to anyone. Benghazi. Benghazi. Benghazi.
H. Wide Load….now that’s good. I’m thinking this is a fine example of the POT calling the kettle black. I wonder if the Hildebeast beeps when she backs up?
And specifically that the abandonment and betrayal of an American ambassador occurred on HER WATCH. And that it began on her watch before the attack itself, with the neglect of the ambassador’s security needs and requests. That one short incident, with its ‘before and after’, is a exemplar of all of present-day America’s absent and ignorant and indecisive and wrong foreign policy. If she couldn’t manage the State Dept., she sure as hell can’t manage the entire country (which includes partially managing the rest of the world). And example of incompetence and lack of loyalty to the folks in the field (the ‘little folks’).
But hey, at least she is in the trenches struggling like average folks ‘to make ends meet’.
Do not underestimate the stupidity of the American voter. We nearly had Al “Jazeera” Gore as president. And if our Muslim-in-Chief had been white, Wide Load would have been president already. And, if that’s not enough stupid for us all, B. Nussein was re-elected. Damn, what lousy thoughts to begin a week.
To make your Monday even better, let me add that we almost ended up with Jawn F’ing sKerry, who was in Vietnam, as president in 04.
Thanks, pal. I needed that.
Time for another reset button ?
What foreign policy? Don’t you have to have one for it to be criticized?
Disagree. Our foreign policy is simple. We don’t go to foreign places or talk to confusing scary foreign people. None of the people who voted for me care about foreign stuff (except cheap stuff from China) or things brought from south of the non-border.
Instead of going there, we invite all those foreign people to come here. Mostly across our southern non-border.
‘the abandonment and betrayal of an American ambassador began and occurred on HER WATCH’ — That, and the fact that Americans were abandoned and died as a result of her negligence, must be kept in the forefront of any GOP campaign.
She was the one in charge of those people, they were slaughtered on HER watch, and then later on she waves her arms in the air and complains ‘What difference does it make?’
What difference? Keep it up, bubblebutt. They were YOUR responsibility and YOU failed them, shitface.
She should wear a sign with that stuck to her everywhere she goes in public until she’s so old it pulls her down to the sidewalk.
The face of American foreign policies under Obama for four years and she slams it?
The word, ladies and gentlemen, is, “chutzpah.” Reminds me of someone who comes into your house, shits on the carpet, then bitches about the mess.
The Glorious Leader doesn’t have a foreign policy. All he has is a continuation of Hildebeast’s own bullshit. The only difference is that now we have John (did you know he was in Vietnam?) Kerry pretending the rest of the world gives a shit what he says rather than Hildebeast her-(it-)self.
If she was really so smart as her fans claim, she might realize that and keep her snake-jaw shut.
Speaking of foreign policy, the other day I saw some crap on TV where Moochelle and some of the other dem royalty were talking about their “analysis” of Vladimir Putin and how his mind works. All I could think of was, “Assuming he doesn’t have anything better to do (is it time for the 2:30 Chechen yet?), Putin’s probably watching this and laughing his ass off.”
It astounds me that WE have not learned to totally ignore anything a politician says while running for office. And you can bet the farm that she is running. All of her coy denials aside, she wants the office so much she can taste it. In her mind the it’s her turn to be president, as if it is a right conferred at birth for a certain class of people. She has been a power grubbing slug since her college days. She married for power, stayed married to a serial philanderer for power, and some say that she has even killed for power. When you seek power as assiduously has she has throughout her life there is nothing you wouldn’t do, or say to get even more. There is ample evidence that there is nothing below her, character wise. She is another total incompetent “leader” in the Obama mold. She has proven many times that she is a vindictive, shrill, thin skinned harpy who mistakes power for leadership. If she attains the power she seeks she will just be another failed political experiment. We don’t need Hilery to be “the First Female President” just to say we had one. Electing a proven incompetent simply because of her sex is dumber than re-electing a failed incompetent simply for his race. Do not trust her words, they are hollow, trust her actions, they are her true measure.
That shrew should be in prison.
Speaking of the State Dept., has anyone besides me noticed how Egypt managed to broker a truce between Hamas and Israel, however brief it might be?
Egypt didn’t broker a truce. Egypt has had enough of Hamas’ shit and told them if they continue they’ll roll in and do what Israel doesn’t have the will to do.
Egypt hates those scumfucks more than the Israelis do.
>>For some reason, everyone seems to be surprised that Hillary Clinton has criticized the President for his lack of a foreign policy. Well, I’m not. She’s running for president in 2016,<<
Then I'm surprised that you're not surprised.
Hillary Clinton *worked* for Barack Obama during his Presidency. Secretary of State is 3rd in line in the Presidential succession order.
That means she can't sit back and twiddle her thumbs and claim ignorance since she was right there in the middle of his foreign policy mess.
This is Hillary Clinton tacitly admitting, "Barack Hussein Obama's foreign policy is shit AND I HELPED."
That's what people are surprised about.
