Friday morning feel good story

Chief Tango sends us a link to the story of yet another youngster getting his life turned around by a homeowner in Oakland.

The violent confrontation happened about 10:50 p.m. Wednesday at the home in the 3100 block of Eastman Avenue near Brookdale Park.

Police said the suspect, armed with a rifle, forced his way inside the home where he took a cell phone before confronting the resident, who was able to get a pistol.

In an exchange of gunfire, the resident was wounded in the shoulder and the suspect in the torso, police said.

The suspect was easily rounded up from his emergency room gurney. We wish a speedy recovery to the homeowner.

  1. The reason the homeowner was able to get to his pistol was because the perp was too busy texting on his “new” phone.

  2. Yeah, but it’s Oakland, so I’ve no faith in the homeowner avoiding any charges.

Gawd I’m so glad I left CA. Will someone just seal up the border at I-80, I-40, and I-10 and last one out turn off the lights?

  3. And while we’re at it, take all the transplants from Tucson, Salt Lake City, Boulder, Jackson Hole, Taos/Santa Fe, etc. and ship their asses back too.

  4. When the po-po are finished with their investigation and release more information, it will be interesting to guess the perps ethnicity/race from just his name.

  5. @5. I’m with ya. We let them infiltrate Colorado and ruin it. Time to ship them back to the “paradise” they left.
