Holy Week, holy Shariah? Part 1
There’s no mystery that radical Islamists intend to use the freedoms in our Constitution to expand the influence of Shariah law. But, still, too many Americans don’t know or understand how it threatens the very fabrics of our republic. So I’ve decided to do a series on how Shariah is seeping into American society.
First, let me categorically state that I’m not an Islamaphobe. I welcome the plurality of religions in America and am a firm believer in the First Amendment. But just as our religious freedom is secured in the Bill of Rights, so is our freedom of speech to share even our religious concerns.

NSOM Sharia awareness is “fear mongering nonsense”? That statement shows that you are both very juvenile in your thinking, and extremely gullible. Ask a Brit about the threat of Shari’a, ask a Frenchman, ask Bibi Aisha. Ask the dead wife of a Buffalo NY TV station owner, oops, she can’t respond since he beheaded her for a Shari’a violation.

NSOM; sharia is only the logical step here in this country. I read a story a week, or two, ago about a judge vacating his ruling in favor of sharia law. Now, just think back and look at the steps that are being taken in order not to offend the muslim sensibilities in this country.
1) How many people in the military leadership lost their mind about a koran burning? How many of the same people lost their mind about the bible burning that took place in A-stan by the US military? Yeah, you get the idea.
2) How many Christian prayer rooms are set up in schools for Easter or Christmas? That would be none. How many prayer rooms have been set up for muslim kids in those same schools during Ramadan? Yeah, check it out and get back to me (I have a slight advantage, though, since my own kids have reported that happening in their school, yet you can’t use Christmas or Easter in describing a break from school, they are officially “Winter holiday break” and “Spring festival”).
3) You can’t put up artwork that offends muslims (remember the draw mohammed day?) but you can throw a crucifix in a jar of urine and have it displayed at taxpayer expense.
4) If you are muslim and going to college in downtown Minneapolis, you get special footbaths put in the bathrooms, at taxpayer expense, so that you can wash your feet before going into your special room for prayers. Yeah, it’s true, because I am an alum of that college. Whatever happened to the separation of church and state that the left always harped about? I guess it has been overshadowed by the left’s new desire for “diversity”.
So, don’t mock the premise too much, otherwise, by the time you acknowledge it, it will be too late.
Remember the mindless little twit in college in the north east who demanded that she and a couple of others get different gym hours because somebody might see their damn shoes, or some other inane BS? I can see these people getting special treatment to worship, but they can kiss me where the sun don’t shine with their horse pucky sharia laws. And that judge should be drawn and quartered for the crap he did. If you want to live in OUR country, learn English and don’t try to turn us into you. I can guarantee most of us ain’t gonna go along with it.

BLUF: The foundations of sharia already exist in our laws. To implement sharia would be a simple regression in misogyny and bigotry until we reach the 12th Century.
Sharia, and the English Common Law that we have in the US, have the same source codified in the Bible. There is not much difference between Sharia and the Mosaic laws. Christianity tempered the Mosaic law.
For example, we can no longer randomly and legally beat a woman to death. Sharia permits that. Women can divorce their husbands – Sharia, not so much. To be divorced in Islam is to be cast into the streets begging for alms.
Most of the misogynists out there, including many of our so-called feminists love Sharia because women are reduced to chattle slavery. So are anyone not of the same beliefs.
Sharia, like Mosaic law, is rule-based. There is no room for personal judgement, and keeping all the possible rules and their combinations is almost impossible, and certainly fatal for a large portion of our society.
The foundations of sharia are the same foundations of Mosaic law. Sharia does not exist, currently, in the US because of the temporizing influence of Christianity, and the mutability of our system of interpretive laws.
My only concern with all of this is that violence is often the threat / action used to demand compliance with what Muslims want. We have seen it in Europe, and I think we will see it here, too.

You’re right. There’s that cartoonist who lead “Draw Mohammed Day” who’s had to go into hiding. None of the major networks, cable shows and whatever make fun of Islam.
Step wrong, and you’ve got a fatwa and any number of Muslims here willing to carry it out.
NSOM obviously does not live here in SE Michigan, specifically Dearborn, where the local police enforce defacto Islamic Shari’a law:

Why is this happening? Because of the Muslim population. When the Muslim population in any Western Nation grows to a certain percentage, they demand adherence to Islamic Shari’a Law. And they demand it under threat of violence/murder. [See especially what has happened in Britain and France over the last 10 years]
And, thus far, the Western Nations have cowardly complied with the Muslim demands.
[Also, for a recent example, just look at the British Royal Navy giving their Muslim pirate prisoners halal meals and other such amenities. Those MF-ers should have been killed on site and dumped into the ocean. Instead, the British Royal Navy is bending over and taking it from these 7th Century savages. Brilliant.]
And this isn’t just a local problem. Everyone following the military knows about the Koran burning situation with the FL pastor. Everyone on up from our Federal Government to our military leadership said that we must respect Islam and not offend them. That is defacto Islamic Shari’a Law.
Also, recall the Mohammad Cartoon situation. Back then our Federal Government did the same thing: demanded that we respect Islam and not offend them. That, again, is defacto Islamic Shari’a Law.
So NSOM is either horribly naive, horribly ignorant or an idiot with regards to the threat of Islamic Shari’a Law here in America.
I’m pretty blown away by the series of responses since I posted. You guys can’t truly be serious. In all seriousness, who here actually fears the spread of Islamic law in this country as a personal threat to them? So we provide you with plenty of examples of Islamic Shari’a Law being implemented in this country — not to mention the years of it being implemented in Britain and France and other Western Nations… just look up north to Canada to see Islamic Shari’a Law being implemented there to curtail free speech — and THIS is how you respond? Pathetic.
Of course, let’s not forget the DoJ deliberately not prosecuting Muslims. Yeah, that’s not Islamic Shari’a Law going on in our federal government.
And I really can’t imagine how giving Muslims special rights in America, based on their threats of violence and murder could possibly affect any part of my personal life.
Really, NSOM, you can’t be that downright stupid to not understand the repercussions of this. You do understand what happens when you subsidize something, right? You get more of that something. By subsidizing the demands of Muslims — based on their threats of violence and murder — for Islamic Shari’a Law, you will get them asking for more and more and more. Just like they are doing in Canada, Britain and France and every other Western nation where they gain more a percentage of the population.
Muslims have been doing this from the inception of Islam. This is nothing new.

Bottom line, NSOM, is that we have judges who are ignoring black letter law for the sake of “inclusion” of those who think that because their culture is different, they can simply ignore our rule of law.
While I’m all about individual liberty, when a person breaks a law simply because it doesn’t jive with their 7th century philosophy, judges shouldn’t go, “Oh, my bad–didn’t know you were a ass-backwards fuck and that buggering goats and beating your women to death was normal. No matter that those things are illegal here. Go right on ahead and continue what you’re doing!” Since when do laws NOT apply to ALL individuals? You start making protected classes…
But then again, we’ve been doing that for decades. How’s that been working out so far?
