Officer uses child’s bicycle while chasing down felony suspect

LONE TREE, Colo. (Gray News) – Even though a Colorado police officer was not near his squad car, he still managed to help chase down a fleeing theft suspect with a little help.

The police officer used a child’s bicycle to pursue the suspected felon.

The Lone Tree Police Department said Officer Jacob Tarr was trying to arrest the suspect who took off running after committing a felony theft.

The suspect jumped several fences and stole a motorized scooter while Tarr was in pursuit.

To keep up with the fleeing suspect, the department said Tarr “commandeered a kid’s bike to continue the pursuit.”

“The suspect might‘ve had a scooter, but Officer Tarr had determination, and a kid’s bike,” Lone Tree police shared on social media.

Tarr and other officers eventually caught the suspect and charged him with felony theft. It was also later discovered that the suspect had three additional outstanding warrants.

Police booked the suspect into the Douglas County Justice Center.

Man killed by woman in what police believe was self-defense

LITHONIA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – One person was fatally shot in a DeKalb County neighborhood in what police believe was an act of self-defense.

The investigation centered on a home on Hallwood Court in Lithonia. Crime scene tape blocked the road for several hours.

DeKalb police say the victim is a man in his 30s and the deadly shooting is the result of a dispute.

“After further investigation, it was determined that the suspect came to the location and threatened the victim with a weapon,” police said in a statement. “The victim then shot the suspect in self-defense.”

    1. With or without banana scene because that was the style of the time, With or without an onion on my belt

    2. I’ll take my Mossey Maverick as well over that KelTec thing. When the fertilizer hits the ventilator the “cool factor” is insignificant.

Did they at least make the kid an honorary member of the police force? Buy him/her an icecream cone? Something.

  4. Been told that if you show up at any serious shotgun class with a KSG, sympathy is the best you can expect. Most jam or break under sustained hard usage. Disclosure: I own a couple of Keltecs…but not a KSG.
