Midweek Open Thread

Election aftermath! As of the scheduling of this posting, Kamala Harris has yet to concede. The tone of the voice of those who have spoken on behalf of her campaign, either campaign staff or media, indicate that they know that Donald Trump won reelection. They may be considering their options going forward, possibly to stall the concession, or actions and statements to set up headwinds against the upcoming Trump Administration. The videos are already coming out showing Harris voters getting emotional. It would be interesting to see what kind of “election fraud” and “election interference” arguments they would emphasize this time. The next few days could get interesting. Enjoy the rest of your week!

  1. And the False Commander “Phony” Phil Monkress is hard at work drafting proposals for set-aside contracts for the next administration based upon his highly questionable and potentially felonious Native American, Navy SEAL and LEO claims.

    1. Meanwhile in Bethesda, a Vice President of a proud but hit woman owned business can’t get into his $6500 a month rental home because the leasing company changed the locks. You Deplorable Garbage type may think that $6500 a month for a home is a lot of money for someone with no income, but when you have no intention of paying the rent, you may as well go big before no longer having a home.

  2. Even my dog is acting different. I thought it was just the
time change but now he just rolls around on the ground
    scratching his back in joy.

    1. Dogs love to roll around on dead stuff. Maybe he found what was left of Kamalla Kamalla’s campaign and was rolling in it.

    2. I used to do that when I was younger…I think that’s why I have arthritis in my spine now.

      1. Too many ballots. And they tried to confuse me by
folding them. One was printed on both sides…..

          1. Yeah, Pima county not looking too promising. More crumbling roads while sanctuary programs flourish.

      2. Uh, no. It is provided in the Constitution. It guarantees the states with small populations can influence the election of the President. Eliminate it and the large D-rat controlled cities will decide every election for President.

    1. That’s one of the Babylon Bee headlines, “Democrats call for abolishing popular vote.”

  3. Michigan was finally recognized for Trump. Still waiting on Alaska and Nevada. Arizona is still up in the air.

    1. Alaska [3 votes] was finally included in the tally. 224 to 295
Just Nevada [6 votes] and Arizona [11 votes] remaining.

  4. The big things now are Trump’s pending sentencing for the BS NY case and whatever nonsense the DOJ was trying to pull.

The DOJ stuff will most likely get thrown out for lots of reasons. Same as whatever is left of the Georgia case.

The NY case is insane as the whole thing was not only unprecedented but was an improper application of the law. Not sure what will happen there. If Trump can show they violated his civil rights in some way, mostly because of their targeted attempts to keep him from getting elected he might get it thrown out federally.

Then there will likely be more bullets to dodge, it’s well known that if the assassin is willing to trade his life for the target he will probably get it.

So far as legal challenges Harris has none. I am curious about the bomb threats. Supposedly the feds have the actor in custody. The effects seems to have been zero. It would definitely be interference but I don’t see how it would tie back to Trump.

    1. During the appeal, it appeared the prosecuting attorneys were busier trying to CYA and avoid being sanctioned if not disbarred more than trying to argue the verdicts are correct. They know they are screwed.

      1. If they claim beforehand they will be a target, they can then point to any action to disbar them as retaliatory. Their own malicious actions are eating away at them.

          1. So she thinks getting in trouble with the Feds and losing her law license has to be about this? Do we not break at least 50 laws just driving to work everyday? Show the right person the bitch and he will show you the crime.

    2. The NY case was won on appeal the moment the judge instructed the jury that they didn’t have to be unanimous on what the predicating crime was.

    3. Curious, what happens to all J6 people being held awaiting trial, and do those convicted get their sentences overturned.

If overturned, will not only the feds be named in a suit, but what about judges and prosecutors. What about all the Congress and senate critters who proclaimedJ6 as insurrectionists? Can they be named as well? Will the government claim bankruptcy to keep from paying?

Maybe Ashli Babbets family will get some answers and a good pile of cash.

      1. I just read an article from a local news source that is typically leftist; the article called J6 a riot. The word insurrection was not used. Is the left backing down; and if they are, is it for any other reason than CYA?

      2. I read an article that presumed one of Trump’s first acts will be pardoning all convicted J6 defendants, releasing all still awaiting trial and dismissing charges, and government reparations for those that suffered loss of liberty, jobs, reputation, etc.
In my opinion, the next step needs to be to file charges against the committees and prosecutors who made up evidence, withheld exculpatory evidence, and went out of their way with malice aforethought to ruin the lives of people based solely on which side of the political aisle they sat. Top among those that should be charged are Adam Schiff, Adam Klinzinger, and Liz Cheney!

    1. IDK. Bring the tickle monster back and get some answers. We then just put him down again. But P’Nut is so cute! Decisions, decisions.

    2. What they did to P’nut was just wrong, and I don’t know if I like John McCain but I respect what that SOB went through while keeping the faith in the infamous Hanoi Hilton. Can we keep P’nut and trade Jane Fonda for Ole’ McCain? I’m not a Vietnam era vet, I’m Panama, dessert storm and GWOT era but McCain is still a brother in arms.

      2. I don’t know. I heard some stories about McCain in the Hanoi Hilton. The son of the Admiral might have embellished a few things and covered up others. We will probably never know for sure.

I just didn’t like the guy. I can’t stand people who hide behind their military service. Just because someone is a veteran doesn’t give him free rein to be a douchebag.

        1. I got chewed out by Adm. John McCain Sr. Comphibron 3 or 4 when I didn’t come to attention and salute his staff car when we were leaving the Tradewinds club in Norfolk NOB. He came aboard our ship once with his pet small gator he had in a wood box.

        2. When he stood up there holding Ted Kennedys hand above his head, that’s when I lost respect for the guy. After that he was just another RINO to me.

        3. He may have had some honor while in uniform, but it became diminished once he sold his soul to politics and compromised his principles.

Americans knew that and sent him a message when the GOP put him up to run for the highest office. He just didn’t get it because he lacked the introspection to know that about himself.

McCain died a shitbag but he didn’t have to.

      3. Is that John McCain? I thought it was Timothy Walz.

While I respect McCain’s service much more than that of Walz, a political turncoat is a political turncoat.

        P’nut for the win!

P’Nut was a casualty that was sacrificed on the road to freedom.

      Squirrel Lives Matter

    1. Anthony Weiner is talking about a comeback. He’s in talks with former AG Eric Holder as a running mate for 2028.

      It’ll be a Weiner-Holder ticket.

      1. Bush and Gore were also thinking about running as R-D cooperation. But, it sounded too much like a snuff film.

        (somebody stop me)

    2. A dried up hag and a dried up whore who will never need an abortion, championing abortion. The Hag and Ho show.

  5. The fact Trump won both Electoral Votes and Popular Vote is going to give the Left no foot to stand on making baseless cheating claims.
It was truly Too Big to Rig!

    1. Is Saturday Night Live just going to rebroadcast of the Hillary playing the piano cold opening like they did in 2016? It was that date that even diehard fans knew that there was no saving Saturday Night Live.

        1. Another show not to watch. Although, it may be fun to watch the tears flow and listen to their lamentations.

It might just be must see TV.

          1. If Donald Trump was reelected (and seated) in the 2020 election, cinematographer Halyna Hutchins would still be alive, because Baldwin would still be in New York doing his crappy Trump impersonation. So Donald Trump is responsible for her death.

  6. [facetious]

Question: Are they going to issue uniforms for us to wear at these internment camps, or should we buy an appropriate manner of dress. (Asking for a friend)

    I SOOOOoooo… don’t know what to wear.

Also, if you guys and gals are up to it, we can form a Bataan-style Death March and go to these camps in unison.

    [/facetious]

      1. Only if it is before Labor Day.

And speaking of which, why is it that those who never held down a job or ever served in uniform get to celebrate Labor Day and Veterans Day?

    1. No. You will arrive at the camp by cattle car train and be separated from your family. If you’re healthy to work you should be okay. Not so much for your family. You’ll stack your luggage and be instructed to separate your belongings and then be told to strip.

Then you’ll be told you’ll have to take a shower before further processing.

The rest will work itself out.

        1. All I know, is that if she shows up for her concessions speech with a black eye, and says that she ran into a door, that will be total bullshit.

          1. Well ole Douglas will have to look elsewhere than the White House for an intern to do the Bill Clinton with.

          2. Come to think of it, we haven’t seen any of out betters sporting any black eyes, or did those go out of style with Harry Reid and Mitch McConnell

      1. He still has to serve the 51% of the people of Minneapolis, I mean Minnesota that voted for him for the next two years. After that he can throw his name in the hat for the primary. I predict an 11th place finish there.

    1. Why do you think Kamala’s competent at any aspect of sexual intercourse? Or at least pleasurable enough that people would give her favoritism over anybody else.

  7. There is all that fencing up around the Whitehouse and Vice Presidents home. Just so you know that’s to keep Joe from getting lost when they let him out to relieve himself. Ohhh and to keep chameleon from soliciting passerby’s as she gets ready to get back to work on Jan. 21st.

    1. Curious to see what’s there on Jan 6.
I would prefer to see it all gone and no show of force.

      1. They will most likely stage something on Jan 6, 2025.

A funeral for democracy, perhaps? Candles and a moment of silence. Slow walk to the Capital Bldg.

After all, they have to remind everyone. Lots of drama, but have to compete with the playoffs.

          1. 34°f rain and 40 mph winds. To help the democrat protesters feel some real pain. And shut the subway down for the day.

    1. Has anybody asked RCAF-Chairforces opinion? Will Trudeau lock his border so tight you couldn’t drive a straight pin with a 20 lb sledge?

      1. Good question. Maine has a long border with Canader.
Especially NB to the east along US 1.

  8. Speaking of the current (P)resident, has anyone seen hide or hair of him? I’m wondering if they aren’t keeping him locked up in a room for the time being?

    1. They’re ramping up efforts to blame him on the MSM. If they need more material they’ll cut him loose so he can make more stupid public comments.

      FJB.

  9. Love that every world leader and the head of NATO have released statements saying the look forward to working with Trump.

  10. Commisar is on the previous thread, no balls to get on the latest thread. He is still a piece of shit.

    1. For the past few months I’ve had an odd, gloomy, sense of 1970’s deja vu. Talking with a friend last week about my personal voting history brought it into perspective.
In 1976 I was too young to vote, except in my high school’s mock election. I ‘voted’ against Ford because he had never been elected President, but was running as the incumbent.
Then the Soviets invaded Afghanistan, Iranians took our embassy staff hostage and Carter gave the malaise speech. He wanted to restart the draft that ended five years earlier. He only got Congress to reinstate draft registration. The summer of 1980 I went to the post office to register for the draft and to the county courthouse to register to vote. In November 1980, the pundits were surprised that young men (who normally vote for democrats) overwhelmingly supported Reagan. I won’t try to speak for everyone in my age group, but many of us did not want to be conscript cannon fodder in an endless quagmire war started by a democrat.

Harris seems(ed) to be the worst parts of both Ford and Carter. And now I have a son and a nephew to worry about (the rest are past draft age).

Sometimes the choice is not ‘who to vote for’, but ‘ who do I vote AGAINST!’

Now I’m cautiously optimistic Trump can pull off “Morning in America” in the next few years.
