Maine state police detective fatally shoots man who pointed gun at law enforcement, according to officials

A Maine state police detective fatally shot a man who pointed a gun at law enforcement as they were attempting to locate and arrest him over the weekend, officials said.

Members of the Maine State Police Tactical Team were searching for Frank Foss Jr., 28, and served a search warrant on a home in the town of Chelsea on Sunday. They were accompanied by a crisis negotiator.

Authorities located Foss in a wooded area near the home, and he was killed when he pointed a handgun at a member of the tactical team, said Shannon Moss, spokesperson for the Maine Department of Public Safety.

Suspected intruder shot twice by apartment occupant in Carmichael, Sacramento deputies say

A man was shot Sunday at an apartment complex in Carmichael, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office said.

Deputies responded to reports of a shooting in the 8600 block of Fair Oaks Boulevard at 1:07 a.m., the Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.

When they arrived, they found one man shot after he had allegedly fired into an occupied apartment and then tried to break in, said Deputy William Robinson, a spokesman for the Sheriff’s Office.

The occupant of the apartment fired back, hitting the suspect twice.

    1. And he dropped blood all over the shiny hotel lobby floor. As if Housekeeping don’t have enough to do. Imagine, if you will, a coupla TSS being delivered, we’d of had us a trifecta of DRTs. Now THAT’s a comfortable thought to have an opinion on.

  5. I always wanted to see just how fast I could go…but first I have to make sure I can go as fast as I can! Smooth is fast, and fast is smooth.
    To paraphrase the great warrior-poet Shane Falco: “chicks dig guys who shoot fast.”

    And yes the Alien by Laugo Arms was built from the start to be a Race Gun…that is the starting point!

    Reminds me. I need to take a couple of pics for ‘Ed to put at the top of the FGSs.

    1. Really? All of my firearms have some mod or other. The most I’ve done is spend money and time to take a 10/22 to where it shoots a ragged hole at 50 yards.

      Then along came AW1 Rod and his out-of-the-box Savage .17HMR that does the same thing at 100. The dick.
