York County K-9 named Rebel makes first drug bust

The York County Sheriff’s Office says a K-9 named Rebel, who recently graduated from narcotic detector school, made his first drug bust over the weekend.Police say Deputy Cody Frazier and K-9 Rebel responded to a business in Cornish on Sunday around 4:30 a.m. for a report of suspicious activity.
When they arrived, they spotted a suspicious vehicle. Police say Rebel was then deployed to conduct an exterior sniff of the vehicle.
After searching the car, police say they found 1.9 grams of meth, 5.1 grams of fentanyl, along with a firearm, and other drug related items.

The cheapo Winchester/UMC’s have the best galvanization. Have seen them full of rainwater for several weeks, picked them up shook the water out, and they had barely degraded, the Remington start to rust through in 48 hours.
One caveat to the Winchester, their GQ1544 or ‘Winchester Military 9 Pellet 00 BuckShot’ (the green hulled/black head stuff) has an anodized base I’ve seen rust just thinking about water.
Other than that, sealed crimp and primer so its usually just cosmetic and probably would be a hazard unless fed into a blued barrel and left for a week. ymmv, not a gun doctor, etc

It rates pretty low for accuracy among 00 defense loads too. Spreads out faster and farther than a Kardashian’s legs.
Agreed. There are better options, many with shot cups, hardened/plated shot, that are cheaper and share well-sealed crimps (NB one can always seal primers with an available product, or nail polish).
Federal flight control is often top of the list for tight patterns.
edit: I used WM00B for breacher training and the lack of cup was a benefit in that regard, less chance of it coming back at the team.
