Deputies say the suspect also crashed into a relative’s home and rammed several vehicles during a family altercation at a church.

HOUSTON — A deputy was seriously hurt and a suspect was shot and killed at the end of a chase Wednesday night in north Houston, according to Harris County Precinct 1 Constable Alan Rosen.

Several officers opened fire on the suspect after he ran over deputy, who was rushed to the hospital by Life Flight.

On Thursday, Rosen said the 34-year-old deputy is “extremely lucky and blessed to be alive” but has a long road to recovery.

“Great guy, a great family man, and he’s been just an exemplary officer for our department so again, I’m prayerful that he’ll be fine and that he’ll be back out protecting citizens every day.”

Deputies were first alerted to the suspect after he rammed several vehicles during an altercation with family members at a church.

A short time later, they spotted him driving the wrong way down the Hardy Toll Road.

    1. Good on the Young Lady in Houston!! She obviously had a class or two on gun safety. Called 911, got everyone to safety, told the assailant in a loud clear voice to leave…and proceeded to shoot until the threat was stopped!!!
      Keep those kids safe.

  1. Well, that was 3 minutes, 22 seconds that I will never get back. I am too damned old for these freaks. “I am vaccinated but unvaccinated people are getting me sick.” LMAO.

  2. Here’s a feel good story… for the readers of VG/TAH.
The 2021 Elko County Fair is underway in Elko, Nevada.

(Have you guessed where this is going??)

1 – Crickets on the Elko POW*MIA Awareness Ass
website and Book of the Fake,
other than announcing meetings (at the local VFW?).
Note – Click counts and comments are near zero.

    [REMINDER….meetings this Friday the 27th.
Board meeting at 6:00pm and General Meeting @ 6:30pm. VFW Hall.
We will be talking about the Fair and more.]

2 – “POW/MIA” is listed among the “volunteers” for this year’s fair.
Seeing the fair website, schedule, events,
and knowing the Elko POW*MIA Awareness Ass,
it appears the County Fair volunteering will likely be limited to
    – Rodeo clowns
    – Shovelers (horse events (many))
    – Setting up org table stand to SELL things (pins, patches, etc.)
    – Trash detail

    Based on 2021,
the prospects and likelihood of a 2022 CHILI FEED
    are not good.

      “He was a great guy,”
said Director of POW/MIA Elko Awareness Association Ken Adams.
      “He was my best friend.”

“He was an Army master sergeant,” Adams said.
“He just had a grump attitude.”

      Proof pos….
The Elko Daily Free Press was NEVER interested in truth or honesty
about the actual service of SGT (E-5) Les Brown.
The photo in this (2021) story contains the same old Stolen Valor phuckery
that Les Brown was called out for nationally in 2019.

  3. Welp, he’s here…finally. Got started at 0dark hundred hours on “I got to do it today list” down at COP CRC TR. ’bout half done, but tomorrow will get here.

Always good to have some DRTs for my miscreanted d’weeded deplorables (and for the Adorable Deplorables, y’all know who you are). Yesterday was one of those wobbly not so fair days so I had spent most of the day curry combing the inherwebz looking for the ever so elusive trifecta of DRTs. The well was coming up dry for ANY kind of FGS, what with the politics and all the collateral damage from Ida. Hope all of our Northeastern Brothers and Sister are OK.

The FIRST (ht 2…OH WAIT…ME!) story had been in the que, but no joy on anything else. Was just about to give up the search. Then I remembered that ‘Ed and I had talked about good Ol’ KHOU always comes thru in a pinch. Did the Foo of the Google and WHUMP!, there it was…2 DRTs that had just updated. Ed and I both have discussed the need to bookmark that site. God Bless Texas…indeed. And we KNOW that God has blessed Texas ’cause they can now get frosty, cold Yuenglings there.

Nice shank you gots there Mister. Could use that to cut thru the crowd gathering for the Friday TAH Weekend Open Thread Competition.
