‘This was probably his worst choice:’ Homeowner holds suspected catalytic converter thief at gunpoint
Matthew Hudson was in his home in the 14000 block of Heroes Way.
He said he heard what sounded like a saw being used outside shortly after midnight.
“Of all the places to go, this was probably his worst choice,” said Hudson.
The military contractor ran downstairs, where he said he found Cearley under his Ford Excursion.
“I grabbed my sidearm, came outside and saw him under the truck there. (I) drew on him, pretty much told him it was the wrong house,” Hudson said. “He came out pretty quick. He hit his head on the truck coming out. By the time it was all done, he was begging and crying not to call the cops.”

I was just in the shop this morning getting my vehicle
serviced and while waiting read a hot rod magazine featuring
the Hudson series of “step downs” and how they influenced
