72-year-old Las Vegas Homeowner ventillates burglar

Chief Tango sends us a link to the local news in Las Vegas where a 72-year-old man heard someone enter his home early Monday morning, so he went to his bedroom and retrieved his gun. When three men entered his bedroom, he used the gun as the tool it was intend and the three men left his home in an expeditious manner;

The second suspect, described as a Latin male, was last seen running eastbound into a neighborhood. He has not been found.

[…]

Officers found a third male dead from an apparent gunshot wound in the homeowner’s backyard. A handgun was also found in the backyard.

[…]

Metro Police said the homeowner will not face charges for this shooting and neither will another man who opened fire on a gun wielding robber over the weekend.

I don’t know where I heard it, but the only remedy for a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun.

Someone once said (wish I could remember who), “Don’t screw with an old guy. They don’t have the strength to fight you, they’ll just kill you.”

God Bless American and old guys with guns!

  3. UpNorth

Nicely done. Cue Joey-Boy to come here and lament that someone was killed just because someone wanted to protect their “property”.

  4. Ex-PH2

See? Harsh words supported by ballistic missiles do work.

  5. Old Trooper

HAs anyone noticed the trend, lately, that the bad guys are working in groups of 4 or more, now? So, when in New York, you had better be a crack shot, because you only have 7 rounds.

  6. Old Trooper

*That should read “3” or more, not 4

  7. Lucky

There is a quote at the beginning of Act of Valor about the problem with getting old is that some men stop seeing you as dangerous…

The quote about “the only way to stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun” was from the NRA guy on Piers(*SPIT*) Morgan’s show a couple of weeks ago…

And yeah, this old woman in the northern climes was cheering the NRA guy!

  11. Why do you need a magazine that holds “X” rounds? To put “X” holes in “Y” perps.

Thus endeth the sermon, thus endeth the lesson.

They come in my house while I’m away, I’ll be aggravated. They come in my house while I’m there, and the cops are going to step over them to find out what happened. Real simple.

I just finished certification for MACP Level one, the Army Combatives program, and according to Army Doctrine, the person who wins the fight is the person whose friends come first with a gun…

  18. Lucky

Hahaha Pinto, so true! If you use a shotgun, make it a Saiga, lots of ammo, and will make the anti gun retards freak!

  19. Ex-PH2

Double barrel shotgun loaded with rock salt. My brother used to use that on the rabbits in the garden.

  20. Lucky

EX PH2: Saiga has a 20 drum mag, load that with rock salt shells and go to town…
