The Army Times reports on Mikey Weinstein, of the misnamed Military Religious Freedom Foundation, and his tilting at windmills. It seems that a chaplain, Army Major Scott Squires was conducting a retreat for married couples and a same-sex couple wanted to attend. However Major Squires’ religion didn’t allow for him to minister to same-sex couples.
An Army investigator later concluded Squires discriminated against the service member.
But Squires was following the requirements of his chaplain endorsing agency, the North American Mission Board (NAMB) of the Southern Baptist Convention, according to Mike Berry, an attorney at First Liberty Institute, the religious liberties group representing Squires in his appeal.
First Liberty sent a letter to the Army urging it to reverse the investigator’s decision…Squires said he feared bringing the same-sex couple on the retreat would cause him to lose his chaplain endorsement.
The Army has training guidance — although not an official policy — telling chaplains to adhere to their endorsers’ religious tenets in order to keep their endorsement, while also finding alternative solutions for situations like this, Berry said.
Squires found an alternative for the same-sex couple, but that wasn’t good enough for Mr Weinstein;
Weinstein said the refusal of certain military chaplains to accommodate same-sex couples was comparable to refusing to accommodate mixed-race or mixed-religion couples.
“If you’re going to view same-sex couples as a sin against god, you can either hold your tongue, change your attitude, or get out of the military,” he said.
“This chaplain did not put his hand on a copy of the Constitution and swear allegiance to the New Testament,” Weinstein said. “He put his hand on the New Testament and took an oath to protect and defend the Constitution.”
Again, Mr Weinstein, show me where Congress has made a law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof. MRFF has done more to prohibit the free exercise of religion than any agency of the Defense Department.
I suspect that Mikey would be fine with an Islamic chaplain tossing same-sex couples from the roof of a building, though.

Mikey Whinestein, another gift from the Fuckup Fairy. I so want to send him a toaster for him to play with in the bathtub or shower, anyone else want to pitch in? Better yet, he can go to Mecca and protest against Islam.
Let me break in with some useable information. While you will probably not be able to reach “Mikey” try mikey.weinstein@militaryreligiousfreedom.org
If that rejects, here is a valid address for the organization: bekki.miller@militaryreligiousfreedom.org
As always, recommend you use appropriate language and do not cast aspersions on his heritage although a few dozen “yo momma’s” would seem appropriate.
The Army should just ignore him.
How very tolerant of you, Mikey. Nobody is forcing you to practice any particular religion or worship anything at all, including yourself, yet you demand that the rest of us bow down to your beliefs, or lack thereof.
No. You don’t get to dictate what the rest of us individually or collectively believe or practice. Miltary Chaplans are not required to ignore their denominational doctrine. They are there representing multiple ways of worshiping for the express purpose of giving different folks the comfort they need during their military service.
Take your proselytizing elsewhere, Mikey.
Mikey Whinestein is like a river in the Third World, wide at the mouth, narrow at the neck and full of shit!
Lil Mikey should be cast into the sea with a “mill stone” around his neck for offending this little ones! imho
Whinestein must be running short of cash again.
If there was only some way to make his squealing for more money backfire on him ….
From the article:
Mikey’s ultimate goal?
Him and other atheists like him.
He is not Athiest… he is Jewish.
Yes, that is exactly the ultimate aim. They’ve been working on it for quite a while now.
Mikey’s doppelgänger…

That thins is so fugly the hogs stopped eating and ran for the cowpens…
Speaking of marriages, guess who else is married… Again? Dennis Howard Chevalier a.k.a. Denny H Chevalier, phony war veteran, phony veteran, phony retired US Air Force Lieutenant Colonel, phony C-130 combat pilot, phony SWAT veteran, that guy who has multiple failed marriages under his belt.
Don’t know what number marriage this current marriage. 🙄 Using history as a guide, it’s only a matter of time before he is divorced again. 🙄
I thought he was ? ⬆️? Or does being a prison bride count?
People thought he was the one locked up, but it was someone else. Dennis Howard Chevalier a.k.a. Denny H Chevalier, phony Gulf War Veteran, phony veteran, phony retired U.S. Air Force Lieutenant Colonel, phony C-130 combat pilot, phony SWAT veteran, is still out there playing his games.
If only we could find out who his current wife is so that we could attempt to get her to see him for what he is sooner rather than later. But, using his own history as a guide, she will eventually see him for what he is and bounce out of his life.
I live for the day this wart on the backside of humanity has the opportunity to speak out against the muzzie ‘religion.’ Being the coward I believe him to be, I don’t think I’ll be hearing anything from him.
So was Jesus.
This and the next several posts were in reply to a Mr. John Barrett. Seems he’s no longer going to be commenting here at TAH.
AMF, John.
Dang, I’m sorry I missed Mr. Barrett’s nonsense.
Dang, I’m sorry I missed Mr. Barrett’s nonsense.
No, he’s a self-serving asshole. And you may want to review the TAH FNG FAQ tab on the top of the page.
I have a couple suggestions.
Do you enjoy being such an enormous idiot? I tell you right now that you’re really good at it! Now go back to eating your crayons and washing it down with week old bong water.
Just another keyboard kommando, API. I’ve already mentioned this to management.
I see John Barrett as just another troll begging to get banned.q
Flushed and gone, good bye. There’s a lesson here for prospective trolls.
Don’t.
Gonna ban-hammer in the mornin
Gonna ban-hammer in the evenin
When is someone going to tell this overbearing enlarged snout ring Whinestein to butt out of other people’s business?
Mikey Whinestein is still a self-righteous, impotent, attention-whoring asshole.
IMHO that’s like saying that water is wet, fire is hot and shit stinks!
My point.
I’d be better off not commenting about me being a “ZIONIST” because om my Religion. Like I commented in the past, peeps like mikey give my religion a bad name and some peeps out there feed on that.
Mikey wouldn’t be caught in a temple.
And like magic John Barrett is history.
*grin*
So was Jesus Christ.
So was Haym Solomon, founding member of the Sons of Liberty.
So was Commodore Uriah Levy, hero of the War of 1812.
So was Albert Einstein.
So was LTC Robert Rosenthal, 3-tour B-17 Pilot with the 100th BG (H) and assistant prosecutor at Nuremberg.
So was LTGEN Victor Krulak.
So was Dr. Jonas Salk, who created the Polio vaccine.
So is Ben Shapiro.
What’s your point? If you’re fishing for antisemitism, you’ll find none here.
That was in reply to John Barrett, who seems to have disappeared while I was typing.
Mr Barret has trouble typing with a dick in his mouth.
Funny how that works…
Good riddance.
TOW; I’m a life member of the AL and VFW and at one time, other vet friends wanted me to join the JWV (Jewish War Veterans) I never did but as usual, I am going to make a Short story Long. One of my friends gave me one of their calendars and each month had a story about one of their own being awarded the MOH from back during the Revolutionary war to present times. This was a number of years ago. Also heard stories about some not being written up for various awards due to their religion and or skin color. Boy, some history lessons on TAH this Sunday. Later Alligator.
It’s interesting how Mikey Weinstein seems to greet each new day by figuring out yet another way to be an asshole. It’s actually pretty creative when you think about it. Almost like being a contender for world champion bull-goose douchebag.
One of the things Mikey chooses to ignore this time, apparently because it would get in the way of his relentless effort to piss everybody off, is that the interpersonal dynamics of heterosexual couples is not the same as those who are same sex. Anybody who has ever been around same sex couples could probably tell you this, and it’s also not unusual for gays to emphasize their differences from the “breeders.”
It wouldn’t surprise me if the main reason Mikey is pulling this stuff is because ultimately he’s a coward and a bully, and chaplains make for an easy target. If he tried it with any other group, there’s a good chance he’d wind up getting his ass kicked up around his shoulder blades.
We need some of this to go to the SCOTUS so all these frivolous complaints and lawsuits can stop. The courts seem to be the only people these types believe.
Freedom of religion is not freedom from religion.
I have a special hatred for those who go after military chaplains. During my service I was continually and repeatedly impressed by the kindness, dedication, and self-sacrifice of military chaplains. I’m not even very religious, but found a lot of comfort in the words and deeds of chaplains.
Mrs. HMC Ret and I were married by a Chaplain, Navy CAPT John Markley, at the Naval Hospital, Long Beach, CA in 1971. A really standup guy. I’ve never had anything but the best possible interactions when dealing with those in the Chaplain Corps.
The day will come when a muslim ‘man of god’ will refuse service to a non-muslim and you won’t hear shit from mikey. He goes after the low-hanging fruit and those less likely to behead those who are opposed or indifferent to the muslim cult.
My opinion of the good that Chaplins do is represented quite well in the Band of Brothers when they are taking Carentan, I believe, and the Chaplain is shown giving prayers and Last Rites while under fire from the German’s and never misses a beat.
Another is the Chaplain on the USS Enterprise, I believe during the WWII giving Last Rites to one of the wounded on the flight deck.
How in the hell can this selfish piece of shit want to put a stop to that???
This guy and so many other libidiot morons need to have their asses kicked…
I was given Last Rites at the Milwaukee VA Hospital in 2010 when the Priest, a retired US Army Priest, a chaplain, looked at me and asked if I wanted to take communion. I said yes.
He said, “I’ll be right back”.
When he got back he started giving me the Last Rights immediately. He said at the end that with the way I looked, I might need those that night…
The next day I was placed on a heart transplant list and was given 6 months to live…
Thus started an eight year, so far, odyssey that is still going on.
It’s been my observation that it isn’t survival of the fittest, it is survival of whomever has the best Guardian Angel, and I am 100% serious about that.
There were two times a consult with a chaplain served to strengthen my wobbly spine during my active duty. I doubt I could have successfully carried out my enlistment without their help. Somehow they knew the right words to put me on the right track. I am quite certain I am not alone in that regard. I have the greatest respect for our chaplains. They do a great service for our troops and our country.
Ditto, Steve.
I would really love to see this oxygen thief try to peddle his atheist BS to the head of the NAMB…he’s the former Chief of Chaplains MG Doug Carver.
It would be an epic theological take down.
“Weinstein said the refusal of certain military chaplains to accommodate same-sex couples was comparable to refusing to accommodate mixed-race or mixed-religion couples.”
Every time the gay mafia and the gay “marriage” crowd tries to compare gay “rights” to the civil rights struggle it’s a slap in the face to those that fought and died for racial equality in the 60’s and in the decades prior.
There is no comparison or similarities between the two.
According to some comments of the Army Times article, the retreat was a Strong Bonds affiliated event. Said events are secular and non religious in nature. If such is the case then the chaplain definitely acted in a discriminatory nature by bring his reigious bias into a secular space. It’s no different than a county clerk who refuses to sign a marriage certificate for a same sex couple. However, if this was not the case and the retreat WAS a Southern Baptist Religious Marriage retreat, then the chaplain was well within his rights to say no. It comes down to nuance, really, but still important nuance. Since, I do not have all the facts before me, I must rely on the Army’s investigation team.
Where is that dickhead General that loves to come run his cock holster on Mikey’s behalf?
Best Chaplain I ever knew was a prior service 11B Drill Sergeant SFC. Don’t see many Chaplains wearing a DS badge. His secret to success (in his words, as he rubbed his DS badge) “You gotta know when to hug ’em, and when to kick ’em in the ass.”
