Jorge Taitano; phony POW

Someone sent us their work on this fellow, Jorge Taitano who claims to be a former Prisoner of War. In fact, he joined the American Ex-Prisoners of War Chapter 1 in San Diego, which got his name inscribed with other real POWs at PETCO Field where he was feted by the San Diego Padres;

He was a Marine from 1954 – 1958, but he wasn’t in combat. He did spend some time in the brig June-July 1956, but that doesn’t count. Neither does the time he spent hiding in a cave as a child on Guam while the Japanese soldiers were looking for him – that’s the story he tells folks. He claims that his parents were killed by the Japanese – that may be true, but his father died in 1990 and his mother in 2003 in San Diego, well after the Japanese occupation of Guam. Hiding in a cave isn’t being a prisoner, of war or otherwise.

But he was a prisoner. That doesn’t count? Partial credit? /sarc

Jorge Taitano is a pathetic liar.
Jorge Taitano is not half the man Mario Romero is.
Jorge Taitano discharged as an E1, leading many to believe that he was major league stupid during his time in the Marines.
Jorge Taitano has dishonored the name of Marine, and is no longer worthy of being known as a U.S. Marine.

Great, how about we hand this cocksucker over to ISIS and let him see what being a POW is all about? This is the lowest of the low! I hope he gets a nice jail term and can enjoy the menu at Tiny’s deli and meat packing plant! Phuck Hymn!

Ex POWs should have a short list to verify these clowns. It is common enough that “checking the LIST” should be the first thing the membership committee does.

    1. justsayin

They have a list. But there is always somebody that thinks they know better….. Just ask the VA.

When you’re a kid and there are caves, aren’t you really hiding from pirates, or something like that?

This is a shame. He knows better, but he wallows in it. Idiot.

When I was a kid we attacked imaginary caves to get at the nips refusing to give up. A can of hair spray and a lighter made a great flame thrower.

      Jorge has it backwards.

So, Bradley Manning was closer to being a POW than this freaking clown. Got it.

  10. Skippy

Why in the hell did they not look up his name before carving his name in stone ???
    It’s so damn easy
    Holy shit

    1. Just An Old Dog

Looked at the plaque , there are not any individual names carved on it, It is a tribute to all POWs and MIAs.

  11. Vexatious Defendant

He meant to say, “Prisoner during, in, at and/or because of a War”.

    LEGIT.

    Tainto? Tainto? Tainto?

    *silence

    I think he’s…like…full of shit…

    I heard he faked being a POW…

Nah, he just has taint for a brain

    *blank look

    OK thanks…

    (ahhh…Ben Stein…best straight man ever)

    1. Green Thumb

      More like “Taint”.

so he was a shit bird then and still is a shit bird, gotcha.

  14. OldManchu

Fuck this dick with ears. My Father served in the Army during those years and would never stand up when an event recognizes veterans because “I didn’t do anything special or go to combat.”

  15. Combat Historian

His lying phony bullshit is now inscribed in stone for all to see for all ages…

I’ve had the pleasure of being able to talk with 3 POW’s in my short time on this earth – and one thing runs common in all of them. None of them like to talk about the time they spent as a POW – they all would rather talk about everyday things we all share and enjoy. Maybe it’s just me, but any time someone goes on about being a POW, my first reaction is that they are a lying POS because the true ones I know would rather stay silent and not call any attention to themselves.

    1. Claw

Sure looks that way to me. I’ll bet somebody created a FB page for him.

But the pisser to the deal is, that in one of the pictures, that guy he’s hanging with sure looks (at least to my eyes) like the Phony Hero, Faustino Raguiza who was exposed here at TAH on 29 August 2017. Raquiza claimed, among other things, to having two Silver Stars and being a Door Gunner on a Huey, when in actuality he was a Commo Switchboard Operator.

Two liars, standing arm in arm, lying to each other and the whole world.

  17. bombstopr

It is. He is already blocking me on his FB page.

  18. Green Thumb

Claiming POW and being a fake is a low down motherfucker.

I hope the Padres have removed his name.

    What a piece of shit.

  19. An Old Arty Sgt

I wrote the Padres and told them this guy was a fake.. They just emailed me back.. Here is what they said.

Thank you for reaching out to us, and for your service to our country. We have forwarded your message to the appropriate parties, who have verified that Jorge Taitano is indeed a fake POW, and he has been reported to the American EX-POW Organization for disposition as they see fit. The Padres have also removed him from our POW list. We sincerely appreciate you sharing this information with us.
