Jesse Ventura Claims Easy Victory if He Runs Against Trump in 2020

ChipNASA sends us an article where Jesse Ventura ponders pushing the luck he thinks he still has. This time, he dabbles in talk about a hypothetical presidential run against President Trump in 2020. Two of the things that he would push for are legalizing cannabis and green energy. Specific emphasis on energy from the sun.

From Fox News:

I haven’t made a decision yet because it’s a long time off, but if I do do it, rest assured … If I do do it, Trump will not have a chance,” Ventura, 67, told TMZ on Tuesday. “Because for one, Trump knows wrestling — he’s participated in two WrestleManias. He knows he can never out-talk a wrestler, and I am the greatest talker wrestling’s ever had. So if I go for it, he’s history and he knows it.

Yes, talking big in wrestling “leads” to “prevailing” in a wrestling match over someone that does not talk as big. By extension, out-talking the opposition in a presidential election year “leads” to “winning” that election.

Hoping that this guy goes for it and wins the Democratic nomination.

With the way the Democratic Party is going, the fact that he sued a grieving widow and took her through the legal brouhaha that he took her through may not phase many on the left. Neither would the fact that he was involved with a series on television involving conspiracy theories.

Could you imagine if he were to win the Democratic nomination? He could potentially pull a John Kerry, showcasing a specific experience… Wrestling. He was governor for Minnesota, so he has government executive experience. However, President Trump has experienced being president and with delivering results.

Jesse Ventura showcases his ability to “talk big” as a wrestler, and that he is best at it. Your choice if this happens. The “best” big talker in wrestling or someone that has a proven track record of delivering on his promises.

    Damned fool.

    1. Hondo

Agreed. And his contemporaries who actually were SEALs during Vietnam also say he’s not being completely truthful re: his SEAL claims (though others accept them).

But if he were elected, he could get rid of all those lizard people running the government.

    3. desert

Beyond damned phool! He is a freaking retard of the lowest form! If that A.H. gets enough dirtbags to put up the millions needed to run…then so be it, we will watch the a.h. go broke….when this s.o.b. sued Chris’ wife after Chris died…that was enough for me..he is scum… imho

    Jimmy Janos is attention-whoring again…

    1. RGR 4-78

If Jimmy Janos was in a Presidential election against Jimmy Carter he would still loose.

      1. Mason

If he was running against Walter Mondale, Mondale would win.

PLEASE RUN!!! Oh this would be Popcorn worthy!

The Orville Redenbacher popcorn factories would be operating 24/7/365. Don’t wish him ill, just wish he would go away. But he won’t. He wants his 15 minutes every few years.

Nancy Pelosi is the Speaker of the House again. Maxine is back to rattling on and stirring up trouble. And Chuckie is crying again. Some things just don’t change.

And in addition, we have those two bimbos (OC and the nukes dropper) hogging the spotlight whenever.

    Popcorn time!

Do drugs make you do and say stuff that stupid? If so, please go to rehab you old has been fool.

The idiot is once again, strong in this one.

This clown has been talking shit for years…he’s right about wrestling, because talk is all it was. Scripted shit talking and live action pre-determined wrestling stunts designed as male soap opera for the masses.

Good guys, bad guys all pretend and make believe for the gullible who just love to see spectacle even if it’s a bullshit fake spectacle.

Mr. Conspiracy Theory with a career in a fake, scripted sport.

The sad part is, he’s probably right. The older I get the more I think Mencken was onto something when he said no one ever went broke under estimating the intelligence of the public. More people can chronologically name the Kardashians correctly than can name any two founders.

On target VOV…Fire for effect. War story alert TINS; Once upon a time I had a sound re-enforcement company, setting up PA Systems for different venues, concerts, meetings, indoor/outdoor ect ect. Many of these were for ‘rassling matches hither and yon. One main requirement was enough microphones to go underneath the “squared circle” to amplify the sounds made when the slamming to the mat went on. Had to have enough mikes to go around before and after matches for the trash talking. One thing that helped in my business was good looking sister that a bunch of them wanted to date, not for the obvious female benefit, but for arm candy. A very large percentage of those fellows then kinda sorta “played for the other team” or “switch hitted”. Not that there is anything wrong with that. After all the trash talking and faked B/S in the ring, was a whole different world in the “locker room”. Good Times (?) Well the money was good times. When Ted Turner and TBS went all satellite on us, it became the Live Atlanta Cheat and Fake Show.
Most of those fellows are either passed on, or doddering old fools now. My bad, that describes most politicians don’t it. Run Jessie Run. Somebody call charles w; I think he snapped up all of the popcorn futures. If he doesn’t answer, check the basement.

They probably couldn’t be with a woman. All the ‘roids have a terrible effect down there. 😉

Speaking of rasslin’ … my Grandfather, a WW1 combat veteran, was convinced that stuff was real. Don’t try to tell him otherwise. Saturday mornings on TV, he was there on his chair, smoking his pipe, encouraging them on. Took him to the matches in Greensboro often and he would sit as close as possible. He had much difficulty walking. If the match wasn’t going the way he wanted, he would try to hobble to ringside and whack whichever rassler was his villain. Good times. Grandpa is long gone but he milked his cows every morning until impossible for him to do so. Grew or raised every crop and animal he could. Made his own mayo, ketchup, pickles, canned hundreds of jars of veggies every summer. Had fruit trees. The two of them were typical of those who fought their way through the Depression era.

Using your military background to further your civilian career is a smart thing to do.
Using your military background to make a complete ass of yourself is not a smart thing to do.

  13. Isn’t this the guy that is a fake Navy seal?

    1. David

Do a search through the forums… you will get more info than you can process.

    2. Martinjmpr

He was a UDT (Underwater Demolition Team)member in the 1960’s when UDT and SEAL teams were under the same organization, and was stationed in the Phillipines.

My understanding is that he technically qualifies as a SEAL and is thus considered to be a SEAL. However, even though it wasn’t uncommon for UDT members to transfer to SEAL teams (and vice versa) there is no evidence that Janos ever served on a SEAL team.

There is a ton of stuff on the internet from various SEAL organizations about Janos. Bottom line is that if the tough-talking Janos ever wanted to go to war, it was right there across the South China Sea and the SEAL teams were always looking for volunteers to transfer over from UDT. Janos never did.

      1. UDT does not qualify anyone to claim they were or are a Navy SEAL. The community of people who have graduated BUDS includes UDT. Becoming a SEAL then requires they go on to many other schools and training.

Little Jimmy Janos embellished his military experience in many ways. Some guys during his time were sent UDT and some SEAL they are not and were not then the same thing. All they have in common is Basic Underwater Demolition School (BUDS)

Jimmy Janos lied plain and simple. No EGA, not a Marine regardless of what anyone wants to say. No Trident, not a SEAL seems pretty simple to me.

        1. rgr769

An LT who served with him, was a SEAL, and later became a journalist wrote an extensive article that supports your conclusion/opinion about Jimmy. I bet Another Pat can find it and link to it.

          1. Hondo

You might be interested in the linked article in my earlier reply to Tallywhagger, rgr769. (smile)

        2. SEAL TWO

Jano never served with a SEAL Team. That being said, he did graduate from BUD/S, was/is authorized to wear the trident. In the early ’80s all UDT’s (of which there were only 4, if I remember correctly) automatically were re-designated as SEAL Teams, and everyone who was qualified as a member of a UDT became a Navy SEAL. Transfer of personnel back and forth between the Teams was commonplace even before the re-designation (I served with both SEAL Team TWO and UDT-21 within a very short period of time). I also must add, he is an embarrassment to the Navy Special Warfare community. Every military organization/unit has their share.

          1. Sadly, every group does have their shit stains. Janos got out in 75 long before they did away with UDT.

He is only missing about 26 weeks of additional training to call himself a SEAL.

As you said, he never served with a SEAL Team. If the SWF community wants to make him an honorary SEAL thats fine by me … but he simply ain’t one.

Jim Nabors and Gary Sinise are honorary Marines but never tried to pass themselves off as the real deal.

You can consider Janos a SEAL … you earned that right. I consider him an embellishing blow hard that didn’t earn the title SEAL Lite.

He should have been proud of what he did do not act as if that was not good enough.

I have never heard of a UDT guy not make that clear during an interview.

            1. rgr769

I hear Jimmy was a numbah one skivvy honcho among the bar girls and ho’s of Olongapo (sp?) in the PI, where he performed most of his alleged “service” in West Pac.

  14. OC

GAWD, I’m so embarrassed to be from MN.

    1. Mason

Remember all the good times we had when he was governor and Denny Green was Vikings coach? It was like a daily competition to see who could say something more stupid.

  15. Martinjmpr

Minor point of order, Thebesig: I believe the official TAH “Style Manual” directs that “Ventura” be referred to by his original name of Jimmy Janos. 😉

    1. 2/17 Air Cav

SEAL or no SEAL, he’s a royal asshole who has the REspCt OF VeRY fEw VEterans. IN FACt, I caN ThinK OF OnlY OnE.

  16. Jay

Yah….as a kid I always thought Jesse was awesome. As an adult….not so much. Always has to run his mouth about something. If you have to yell so loud to be heard, you’re probably trying to hide something else.

  17. Either way, he’s still an asshole

  18. Ex-PH2

I wish he’d just find something useful to do with his time. There are buildings that have restrooms that need cleaning.

  19. JimmyB

He had a good military career, wrestling, and acting in movies – then gov of MN, why oh why couldn’t he be happy with all that?

  20. Isn’t this the same guy that said 9/11 was a Gov. conspiracy and the moon landing was filmed in hollyweird.

    1. rgr769

Yep. That’s him. Whether he believes any of his fake conspiracies is unknown. Most of the people pushing this bullshit are trying to sell something, either a book or a TV show.

  21. Bill R.

Sorry Jesse, Green Energy is already legal. If it ever becomes useful, we’ll use it.

  22. A Proud Infidel®™️

JUST when we thought Jimmy Janos couldn’t be an even stupider attention whore. What’s next, lawsuits from him against President Trump?

  23. Cthulhu

The GOP lost the national popular vote in 2018 by more than eight points BECAUSE of Trump.

And Trump admin economic policies are just starting to show their impact on the economy which is turning trend lines that have been on the rise since 2012 downward.

And the short term nitrous oxide Trump leveraged to game the system by signing massive tax cuts while increasing deficit spending has begun to sputter out.

Simply speaking we have begun sliding toward a declining economy again. As predicted by economists critical of Trump’s trade and economic policies.

Not to mention home being an unidicted co-conspirator in an increasing number of revealed crimes…

By 2020 Trump won’t even be in office. But if he is Hillary Clinton could even beat him, even Chelsea Clinton could beat him. Hell, even Chelsea Manning could beat him.

Trump is done politically. The only thing left is to mitigate the damage of his tantrum and desperate attempts to cling to power when he finally realizes his con game is over.

    1. DaveP.

…says the guy who thinks “national popular vote” is a thing.

      1. Cthulhu

It may not matter in an electoral system that gerrymanders, ignores the will of the electorate, and caters to financial and special interests over the interests of the people; but it does matter to those of us who care about having some semblance of a democracy or reasonable representation.

And when the numbers reach above 7 points it absolutely means that the red wall is crumbling.

Republicans will not see a map anywhere near as favorable as the 2018 map in at least 12 years.

The 40 seats you lost in the house and the over 370 you lost in the state legislatures is just the beginning of a 12 year slide for republicans.

And you will have Trump to thank for it…
Actually, liberals will have Trump to thank for it.

        1. Hondo

And yet, the GOP lost fewer House seats in 2018 than the incumbent President’s party did in in 1966 (POTUS: LBJ); 1994 (POTUS: Billy “Cigar Man” Clintoon); 2010 (POTUS: the SCoaMF community organizer who shall remain unnamed); 1938 and 1944 (POTUS: FDR); 1946 (POTUS: Truman); 1958 (POTUS: Eisenhower); or 1974 (POTUS: Ford). Plus several others since 1910, for that matter.

And the GOP not only held the Senate, but also gained 2 seats during this past election. In each of the other elections I noted, the latter didn’t happen.

Bottom line: the House losses were not particularly bad in terms of historical norms for the GOP in 2018. In fact, since 1910 it ranks 13th out of 28 in terms of the number of House seats lost – almost exactly in the middle.

Further, the GOP not only held the Senate but also increased its number of Senate seats during this past mid-term election. Gaining Senate seats IS rather unusual for the President’s party in a mid-term – it’s only happened 6 times in the 28 mid-term elections starting in 1910.

          https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_midterm_election#Historical_record_of_midterm

Once again, Poodle, a bit of research shows that you’re simply spewing male bovine organic fertilizer. Or, with apologies to the Bard: your screed above is nothing but “. . . . a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.”

          1. And, as usual, the zika-commie provides no sources.

Silly me, I could have sworn the zika-commie said that economic disruption was going to be caused by climate change.

            Don’t fear the commie!

            1. Hondo

There are over 140 million good reasons to fear Communists. That’s a reasonable estimate of the number killed in cold blood, outside of warfare, by 4 Communist governments during the 20th Century (PRC, USSR, Cambodia, and Yugoslavia). Add several other Communist regimes, and the total likely tops 150 million.

              https://www.hawaii.edu/powerkills/20TH.HTM

In contrast, the Nazis are estimated to have similarly murdered a bit fewer than 21 million.

              1. I was anticipating the Hondo response:

                Don’t Fear the Commie!

          2. 2/17 Air Cav

Lars worked the Bernie campaign and when his socialist hero–the guy who now owns four homes and never worked a day in his life–lost the nomination, he voted for Jill Stein, another f’n commie.

            1. rgr769

Maybe Cunthulu could be Jimmy’s campaign manager, since he did such a great job for the commie from Vermont. Cunthulu and Jimmy have one thing in common, they both hate this country as it has been constituted for the past 200+ years.

          3. Ex-PH2

You left out the best part, Hondo: Nancy Pelosi has had the Speaker’s gavel returned to her. Yes, she is once again the uh, um, um, Gavel Holder. That’s it!

  24. Tallywhagger

The guy bad-mouths his country and then claims to expatriate to Mexico. What sort of leadership is that? That’s the same shit that the libs are always claiming they will do, move to some other country is thus-and-so or this-and-that ever happen.

Jesse was an amusing guy in his wrestling persona but that is about the depth of his character.

Haha, well, somewhere between him and John Kasich, who knows, shit happens!

  25. RCAF-CHAIRBORNE

I’m sure these days Jimmy refers to his lidocaine butt-lube as ‘Ol Painless’ instead of his ludicrous mini-gun.

  26. RCAF-CHAIRBORNE

Let’s arrange a Jimmy Janos Vs. Frank Dux deathmatch!!

    I’m taking bets
