I found this little jewel of a music video in the comments over at American Thinker and immediately thought of you guys. And yes, you guys includes you, Ex-PH2, and the other distaff members of this forum. As I noted in another comment earlier today, Ol’ Poe hits the three-quarter century mark at midnight and I’m just too damned set in my ways to be politically correct. Anyway, this up and coming young country singer, Bryan Lewis, has real singing talent and a flair for lyrics:

A buddy out in Guam just sent me an email explaining that, theoretically, if I run in a circle at 298 km per second, I should be able to catch up with and screw myself.
He suggests however that due to my age, I probably should just take the easier path and vote Democrat.
Happy Birthday!!! I had my dog watching me for the whole song. He’s obviously a moderate, because he’s useful: He makes me play fetch and he warms my feet. Unionizing the cat, however, has not gone well.
So this patient is in cardiac ICU, close to death, in desperate need of a heart transplant. He has hours to live without a transplant. The man also happens to be a high-ranking member of the State Republican Party, and is on a first-name basis with the governor.
The doctor comes in, all smiles, and tells the patient he has good news and bad news. He asks which the patient would like to hear first, the good or bad news.
The patient says he wants the good news first. The doctor tell him a donor heart has been found and is being airlifted to the hospital as they speak. It seems the donor heart is from a man who died in an automobile accident and who died at the scene.
The patient says that is so sad, but he’s blessed to be receiving a heart. He asks what is the bad news.
The doctor says, well, I know you’re a staunch Republican and conservative, and the donor heart is from a liberal.
The patient asks how can that be known? The doctor says the donor patient’s body was pulled from a wrecked Volvo.
That’s funny, I didn’t know Republicans had hearts to begin with. 😉
