  • IVAW to march for Occupy Oakland again

    So Ouccpy Oakland is going to be marching with IVAW today in protests against Oakland Police Force. It seems that Scott Olsen will be speaking at the event.

    As part of Veterans Day, veterans will be leading a march against police brutality on November 11th, 2011 in Oakland. We will start with a press conference and rally with an update and statement from Scott Olsen at Oscar Grant Plaza starting at 4pm.

    We welcome all veterans of the 99% to lead the way and all supporters to join us as we march the streets. We march not only for injured veterans Scott Olsen, Kayvan Sabeghi and Doug Connor, but for all those who have been killed or injured as a result of police brutality.

    Yea because that is what I think of when I think of Veterans day or IVAW for that matter. Also should be interesting to hear what Olsen is going to say about his past if at all.

    But I am sure that few Veterans would throw in their hat in with the IVAW if they saw photos like this.

  • IVAW protests another war none of them have been to

    One of my ninjas sent me these Facebook screenshots from Mike Pysner‘s wall. I guess now that the war in Afghanistan will be winding down, they’re looking for other wars which generate them some income…wars with which none of them have experience, either. Now their struggle is with relevance;


    So did they pass the measure? Of course;

    So now they can call themselves Veterans Against Any War That ANSWER Tells Us To Be Against. Even if it’s not really a war to both sides. And they pick the side that can’t be negotiated with. See, they started bouncing back from the edge when they took up for wounded veterans, but now they’re slipping back to their old stupid habits.

    I’m just sitting here waiting for Army Sergeant’s explanation for this one.

  • Code Pink still stuck in Greece

    If you remember, the last time we heard from Code Pink on their flotilla to Gaza, the Greek coast Guard intercepted them because their boats didn’t have the proper authorization to leave the port. Apparently they’re still stuck there and they’ve threatened a fast in protest;

    Demand that U..S government pressure Greece to free their boat and captain, and allow boat to sail to Gaza

    Members of the U.S. Boat to Gaza have begun an open-ended fast calling on the U.S. government to defend our right to sail out of Greece. The fast has begun in front of the U.S. Embassy at 91 Vasilisis Sophias Avenue in Athens. Fasters delivered an urgent letter to the Embassy and plan to sleep overnight outside the Embassy gates.

    Passengers and U.S. boat organizers participating in the fast are: Medea Benjamin, Ken Mayers, Paki Wieland, Kathy Kelly, Ray McGovern, Helaine Meisler, Nic Abramson, and Carol Murry.

    And there’s no solidarity with the fasters, other members of the flotilla thought it was a little extreme, apparently;

    Nothing like trying to fast with a barbeque going on at the same time.

  • Flotilla halted by Greek Coast Guard

    True to their word, the hippies headed to break the blockade around the Gaza strip tried to slip out of their Greek mooring earlier. 25 minutes later, the Greek Coast Guard stopped them in their wake. (Ynet link)

    Despite the Greek ban, the vessel left port around 4:45 pm Friday, Ynet learned. It was banned from departing by Greek officials citing technical problems, but chose to ignore the orders.

    In a conversation with Ynet, organizers of the US boat confirmed the details. One of them said that a Greek Coast Guard ship approached the boat and that the two sides were engaged in dialogue.

    Imagine that, Code Pink-influenced to flout authorities. I’d have never believed it.

    Apparently, the Greek captain of the “Audacity of Hope” has more brains than Medea and her assembled sea hags combined.

    Somehow, I don’t think the Grecian commandos will be as gentle with those hippies as the Israelis were last year. So far, they’ve alienated the Turks and the Greeks in just two days. I’m sure the Greek tax payers aren’t real happy with spending their scant money on keeping the hippies safe from themselves.

  • More Matthis lies; Robynn Murray

    Matthis lies sent us another video this morning, this time focusing on Oscar-nominee Robynn Murray. The video also highlights how some IVAW members are still supporting Matthis;

    Burning the flag in this video is Robin Long who absconded to Canada rather than deploy with his unit to Iraq. When Canada booted his monkey ass, he did a year in jail. Long is a member of the Iraq Veterans Against the War (IVAW), and you can hear cheers of “IVAW” while the flag is burning. So Matthis may be gone, but other flag burners remain.

    By the way, another former Iraq Veterans Against the War supporter emailed me yesterday to remove her name from the blog because she was turning her life around and she was embarrassed by her participation with Under the Hood and IVAW. Of course, I helped her out like I do for all of the former IVAW members who are contrite about their past transgressions. There are some for whom I won’t do that, though.

  • Flag burner opposes flag desecration legislation

    Big surprise, huh? Robynn Murray, the IVAW member who stood on the stage with Elaine Brower and Matthis while Matthis set aflame an American flag last year, scolds the American Legion for supporting legislation currently winding it’s way through Congress that would make flag desecration a crime;

    Jimmy Foster, the American Legion’s National Commander wrote;

    The amendment itself would not ban flag burning; it will simply authorize Congress to pass a law which would prohibit the desecration of actual U.S. flags. Its entire text is “The Congress shall have power to prohibit the physical desecration of the flag of the United States.”

    According to Foster, the legislatures of all 50 States have called upon Congress to pass this common-sense legislation to prevent the continued corruption of the use of the flag.

    I think it’s ironic that Murray is offended that “some politicians have reduced that flag to a cheap pin on their suits”, yet she doesn’t recognize that she and Brower and Matthis have reduced the flag to a cheap entry on their anti-war, anti-US credentials, such as they are.

    And she seems to be offended that “extremists” use the flag for their own political purposes, typical cognitive dissonance of the Left because she thinks that she is not an extremist using the flag for her own political purposes.

    And, oh, I guess this kinda disproves Army Sergeant’s contention that Murray only got caught up in the flag burning because she didn’t know what Matthis and Brower had planned.

    The ninja who sent the screenshot of Murray’s cheap post also sent this picture of Matthis doing his best imitation of Jay and/or Silent Bob;

  • Matthis Lies

    None of our regulars will find anything new in this video from Matthis Lies, but it pulls together much of what we told you about on this blog over the last three years into a single video.

    Matthis Lies has done an excellent job of encapsulating our complaints and laying out the case against Matthis into a twelve minute video. This is something we can send to people who’ve never heard of him and make them aware of who he really is and who he associates with.

  • It ain’t me, Matthis

    Someone who calls themselves “Matthis Lies” sent us these two videos that they made;

    They tell me that there’s more videos coming. These are just rudimentary and I’m not sure who this Matthis Lies is, but i do know that they’re close to Matthis and they are not right wing, but Matthis thinks so and he has his panties in a bunch;

    It’s just my ninjas doing the job they enjoy most.
