  • Single arrest in Norfolk mob beating

    I absolutely hate to link to World Net Daily, but in this incident, they seem to be the only ones reporting it (which makes the report mildly suspicious all by itself). But at their link, sent to us by Hondo, they’re reporting that Norfolk police have made a single arrest in the case of the mob beating of two Virginian-Pilot reports we talked about yesterday.

    Police arrested the suspect this morning, but authorities will not release his name due to his age. According to the Virginian-Pilot, he has been charged with throwing a missile at a vehicle, a felony, as well as two counts of simple assault by mob, destruction of property and participation in a riot, all misdemeanors.

    But at a press conference today, interim Norfolk Police Chief Sharon Chamberlin said the department is not investigating the case as a hate crime.

    “At no time in our investigation or in statements taken from the victims did it appear this assault was racially motivated,” she said.

    Oh, wait, I finally found the article in the Virginian-Pilot;

    [Interim Norfolk Police Chief Sharon] Chamberlin added that police believe only a few people were involved in the attack.

    “It is important to clarify that 30 people did not carry out the assault,” she said. “There was a large group in the vicinity, but our investigation and the statements of the victims show that no more than a handful of people were involved.”

    Of course, that statement is for the tourists since the beating happened in a popular entertainment district.

  • There’s going to be a riot at the Milblog Conference; You might want to attend

    I wasn’t going to attend the Milblog Conference for a couple of reasons. They scheduled it for Mothers’ Day weekend for one reason, not that it matters much to me, but when people started raising objections, the folks at Military.com in essence said “Tough shit”. So that pissed me off. And last year they scheduled the reception in the bowels of DC, miles from the hotel where the conference was being held and I didn’t like the logistics of traveling to see the friends I’d come to spend time with. But, I’m an old man and I don’t like change.

    But, anyway, my editors at Business Insiders wanted to go, so I acquiesced for their benefit. And now I’m so glad I did, but there are going to be some unhappy people when they find out my reason. They released the list of panels today, and this one caught my eye;

    Benefits: Promises Delivered, Delayed or Dismissed?

    After a decade plus of combat operations the issue of how we care for our veterans is taking center stage. From changing retirement time frames to medical care and wounded warrior programs, this panel will examine if the promises made to our fighting forces are being delivered, delayed or dismissed.
    Moderator: Rick Maze (Military Times Newspapers)
    Panelists: VADM Norbert R. Ryan, Jr., USN-Ret (MOAA), Tom Tarantino (IAVA), Brandon Friedman (VA), Terry Howell (Military.com), Kristle Helmuth (Author: The Story of a True American Hero, His Princess, and their Struggle with TBI/PTSD), Chazz Pratt (USAA), Mike Brinck (House Veterans Affairs Committee for the Economic Opportunity subcommittee)

    Yeah, Rick Maze is the head cheerleader for Obama at Military Times, he hates the VSOs and got so mad at me when I caught him manufacturing quotes and trying to start a war between the VFW and The American Legion that he blocked my email address.

    And then there’s Brandon Friedman, known to my readers as Beeker from the days he worked at VoteVets. I caught Friedman making excuses for the Obama Administration when the president was trying to force service-connected veterans to buy insurance and he told us not to worry that the Obama Administration didn’t intend to screw veterans. Well, we all know how that worked out, don’t we? Oh, and now Friedman, for his loyalty to the Obama Administration was rewarded with a job at the VA.

    And finally, I’m so happy that IAVA will be there. Maybe I can finally get some answers as to how they can live with themselves after telling veterans that one of the guys (McDermott) who stood on Saddam Hussein’s palace roof and declared that Hussein was more trustworthy than President Bush rated higher on their veterans scorecard than John McCain.

    Yeah, I’m a dick on the internet, but the whole (Milblog) world is about to find out how much of a dick I can be in person. You should go and bring a bucket of popcorn. And since I know that some of those guys monitor the blog, I guess I’m showing my hand, but they can sweat for a week or so, or they can pull out at the last minute (…that’s what she said). But I think they all owe veterans an answer as to why they perpetrated their malfeasance on the veteran community and what they plan to do in this election year to rectify it.

  • Bridge plot terrorists were Occutards

    I’m sure you all read yesterday about the five scroungy looking f#cks who were arrested by the FBI for plotting to blow up a bridge near Cleveland. In fact the FBI undercover agents actually let them place the bombs and watched as they repeatedly tried to detonate the bombs with their cell phones, so the case for entrapment seems rather weak.

    But anyway, it seems that at least a few of these terrorists were members of the Occupy Cleveland mob who were forced to release this to the media;

    While the group arrested Monday evening by the FBI were associated with Occupy Cleveland they were in no way representing or acting on behalf of Occupy Cleveland or the event that was planned for later today at the GE Lighting building. The May Day Event that was sponsored by Occupy Cleveland, the North Shore AFL-CIO, Cleveland Jobs with Justice, Fight for a Fair Economy and SEIU Local 1 has been cancelled because of the alleged actions of the autonomous group arrested last night. Occupy Cleveland has had affirmed principles of non-violence since its inception on October 6, 2011.

    Kind of like the statement that the IVAW released when the wannabe Fort Hood terrorist, Naser Abdo was arrested; Yeah we knew them and they hung around with us, we fed and sheltered them, but we didn’t support them. Scratch at those fleas you got while you were laying with dogs.

    Allow me to quote from the Bible without some hippie turd going nuts; Matthew 7:16 “By their fruits you shall know them. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?”

  • It ain’t easy being sleazy

    The thug life got hard for Sergio Fernando Solorzano-Vasquez the other day when he thought that stealing a car from two 90+ years-old sisters would be an easy enough caper. But I guess the ladies liked their car more than Solorzano-Vasquez had hoped they would;

    Police say he jumped into their car and hid in the backseat when they went into a CVS store on Sunday morning.

    When they came out, and got back into the car, Solorzano-Vasquez allegedly made his move. Police say he started swinging his knife and threatening the women, but he might not have expected what happened next.

    Police say instead of simply giving in, the 94-year-old driver swung her arm back to hit and block the suspect while the 93-year-old sister got out and began to scream for help.

    Apparently realizing that it wasn’t going to be an easy score, the man took off.

    The attacker was seen running away from the scene on three different surveillance cameras at a gas station across the street. He was later located and taken into custody.

    I guess folks are tired of being scared and frightened into submission. Thanks to Old Trooper for the link.

  • Bobby Thompson caught

    About two years ago, we wrote about Bobby Thompson who ran the US Navy Veterans Association which does what VoteVets does but under the guise of a charity. He and his officers made hundreds of thousands of dollars in salaries from veterans’ donations that donors thought were directly supporting veterans, but were instead funding conservative candiates. Well, it seems he was finally caught after two years on the run from authorities;

    Authorities acting on a tip tracked Thompson to a bar in Portland, Ore., on Monday night, followed him home and made the arrest, Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine said. He had multiple fake ID cards from Canada and a backpack containing cash, DeWine said.

    Thompson refused to speak to investigators, authorities said.

    At a hearing Tuesday, U.S. District Judge John Acosta of Portland ordered Thompson to be returned to Ohio. Thompson, who limped into the courtroom, spoke frequently with his public defender during an hour-long hearing to establish he was the man authorities were looking for.

    DeWine said authorities hope to have the man returned within 10 days to Ohio, where he will be tried in state court in Cleveland. The alleged fraud, which DeWine called “despicable,” spanned 41 states, including up to $2 million in Ohio.

    If I remember correctly, there’s some questions as to whether Thompson is really a veteran at all, since we’re not even positive that is his real name.

    That’s pretty much why I turn away advertising for charities that support veterans – I’m not going to put this blog between dueling lawyers. And, frankly, I just don’t have the time to check out every person and organization which comes here with their hands out.

    Thanks to Sparky for the link.

  • May Day riots unfolding in Seattle

    An organized riot started today as protesters stormed into Seattle Central Community College, the location of the now evicted Occupy Seattle camp. From the Community College the protesters joined with a mass of bicyclists who “swarmed” the roads to block traffic for the march down to Westlake Center. After regrouping there they moved down Denny and Pine Streets, attacking stores and cars as they clashed with police. Once Black Bloc and Marxist protesters reached the Federal Courthouse firebombs were thrown at the front of the building as rioters attacked windows and doors. Nobody is reporting it yet but a young man, possibly an adolescent, with Down’s Syndrome was waiving a red flag as he beat on windows and doors with a club of some kind. At least one car was trapped and destroyed as its occupants fled their attackers.

    The attacks were obviously very well coordinated. As police responded to one set of attacks another group of Black Bloc and red flag waiving rioters would immediately attack another. This is a coordinated attack by left-wing extremists on the city of Seattle and its citizens. I’m working on pictures now but I’m not sure of the quality as they’re being taken by a friend in the thick of it.

    UPDATE: Many police have been resisting making arrests, even on rioters they witnessed attacking property. One guy said he saw them stand aside as rioters moved past.

    UPDATE #2:

    Here’s the mentally handicapped Marxist facing down a vigilante dressed as a super hero. If that doesn’t just sum up how screwed we all are I don’t know what does. Credit to the Seattle Times.

  • Fake SEAL and Area 51.(UPDATED)

    Today we have another Fake SEAL by the name of “WOOD, WILLIAM “BILL”” that claims that he was part of SEAL Team 9. Oh and he claims to be part of secert missions in the middle east.

    This is an interview with an ex-Navy SEAL, who, during the years 1992-2000 was sent on top secret bombing missions in the Middle East, predominantly in Iraq. Years after the first Gulf War when we were supposedly not at war with Iraq yet he and SEAL Team 9 were targeting Tomahawk Missiles on a monthly basis taking out targets that were increasingly “soft”… involving deaths of hundreds of innocent civilians. Find out how this highly trained young man and his team were coerced by the military into purposely destroying villages and creating future terrorists as part of a plan that would ultimately serve their dark purpose, the war on terror and 911.

    This is that worst kind of fake, in that when real veterans are doing everything to prove that we are stable and producitve citizans that this clown it doing everything to undo it. But of course in his case you need a group that wants to push the crazy meme for thier own personal agenda. But then again what is a fake without the crazy.

    And if that weren’t enough, hear how he was trained in Area 51 as a specially gifted group of highly classified psy spies to see beyond the famous Looking Glass technology into the future involving 2012 and beyond.

    The people at POW.network has been following him since Jan of this year. Oh, if anyone wants to talk to him, the group that did the interview are inviting people to email him.

    If after watching this video you wish to contact Bill Wood here is his email address for that purpose:

    Bill Wood

    If he responsed feel free to post it here.

    ADDED: It seems that people have been writing in to call BS on this guy and and thier answer is amusing to say the least.

    A CALL-OUT TO ALL NAVY SEALS AND CURRENT AND EX-MILITARY PERSONNEL

    If you are outraged by my interview with Bill Brockbrader and you don’t believe he was a Navy SEAL, I invite you to turn your analysis in the direction of the military authorities that you hold in such high esteem and entertain the notion that there is a parallel organization that is way above TOP SECRET that is working counter to your organizations.

    I guess crazy attracts crazy.

    UPDATED: Here is a new story about him sen from Pow.network.

    Bill Brockbrader claims to be a former member of Navy SEAL Team 9, a group of commandos with psychic abilities. If you’ve never heard of SEAL Team 9, there is a reason. And on dozens of web chats, blogs and Internet radio shows, he explains it all.

    If you do all of your research, you find out Seal Team 9 doesn’t exist.

    He says he was trained, in secret, alongside an actual Navy SEAL class, with all his records either classified or destroyed by the government.

    But it’s not classified. There are no secret SEALS. The names of every man who graduated SEAL training is a public record, and the Navy Special Warfare confirms Brockbrader’s name was never on that list.

    Brockbrader, who also goes by the name Bill Wood, says he got into trouble with the Navy for intentionally diverting a Tomahawk missile that was going to blow up Iraqi children. But federal records show the actual trouble was for having sex with a girl. U.S. Marshals jailed him this month because he moved to Idaho and never registered as a sex offender.

  • The court will not throw out charges against Pfc. Bradley Manning.

    It seems that he had asked that all of the charges be thrown out. Needless to say that motion was rejected.

    “The defense motion to dismiss … is denied,” military Judge Colonel Denise Lind said in a pretrial hearing, adding that if prosecutors could not prove in the trial phase that Manning knew intelligence given to WikiLeaks would reach enemy hands, the court would “provide appropriate motions.”

    Manning’s attorney, David Coombs, had pressed the court to dismiss the charge.

    Comparing Manning’s actions to that of a soldier speaking to a major newspaper, he argued that without an intent to provide information to the enemy, Manning’s actions constituted at most negligence.

    The ruling was another blow for Manning, who made several appeals over three days of pretrial hearings this week to reduce or dismiss all 22 charges against him. Those motions were all rejected.

    I would like to know why he is wearing new ASUs? Is this some kind of plan of making him look better in the court? Or the fact that he has only five ribbions and he cannot get them in right order?

    Manning’s alleged motive, as he stated in his online chat logs with a confidant-turned-informant, was “I want people to see the truth.”

    Yea, I really doubt that.
