  • Oath Keepers remove IVAW “testimony”

    The other day I linked to “testimony” of an IVAW member by the name of Eric T Orseske at the Oath Keepers website. Some of you went over there and engaged the Oath Keepers and called them on their hypocrisy in a battle that lasted for over 50 comments. Founder Stuart Rhodes defended his decision to leave the young man’s testimony on the website by using the words of Ron Paul who endorsed Adam Kokesh’s Congressional candidacy;

    Adam Kokesh has been a tremendous supporter – of both me AND you! As a leader of Iraq Veterans Against the War, Adam has spent years traveling the country to spread our message of peace, a strong national defense and limited government. Adam has tremendous credibility because of his service in the United States Marine Corps and I have deep respect for his commitment to principle.

    Of course, using Ron Paul to quell dissent in their ranks only tells you the level of discourse at Oath Keepers.

    Well, finally, Rhodes and “the board” has capitulated and removed that particular testimony. During the discussion, Oath Keepers used phrases like “is our great nation afraid of a few communists?” Well, apparently Oath Keepers are afraid of a few communists;

    IVAW in particular has direct connections with some radical left collectivist individuals and organizations, who would scrap this Republic in a heartbeat if they could, to replace it with their own collectivist vision. Such collectivism is incompatible with Oath Keepers, an organization dedicated to the preservation of this Republic. As Oath Keeper Vietnam Vet Lew Waters said: “IF someone shows and acknowledges a propensity to support the very views we are swearing to stand up against and openly admits to obeying those who would impose the very programs we say we will oppose, are we not leaving our flanks exposed?”

    Those were the arguments you and I were making through out the discussion. Thanks to all of you who participated in the removal of this IVAW garbage from the internet. As long as IVAW refuses to silence the subversive voices in their ranks, we’ll be there to silence it for them.

  • Birthers use Ron Paulian tactics

    stefan-cook

    You probably remember the big dust up we had this week with the “birthers” (or “nirthers” if you really want to piss them off) over Stefan Cook’s dismissed lawsuit this last week. TSO and I were reminded of the ordeal we suffered through last year as a result of the Paulian invasion of TAH. The comments were all the same; “learn your Comstitution”, “read a book”, “educate yourself” and all of the same old stupid general blather. An attempt to take over the comments by the intellectually shallow. And we always get the blowhards who think that quanitity equals quality.

    Apparently, they’ve adopted the same blathering obnoxious approach across the internet. take a look at the comments Uncle Jimbo’s Ace of Spades post in the post below. Same techniques. I guess they didn’t recognize that Ron Paul’s biggest failing was having nutjobs as supporters who would cut and paste their comments on every Technorati search result of “Ron+Paul”.

    The Columbus, Georgia Ledger-Enquirer discovered the same thing.

  • Why I think you’re crazy

    I got this email yesterday morning and I wasn’t going to mention it until I see my email box filled to the brim over this nirther bullshit. For those of you who think that the IVAW is a subversive organization that means to do damage to the country and our national security, how can you support this kind of lunacy;

    Military, listen up! Now comes your day of reckoning. Will you wait for others to honor their Oath before YOU do? Major Stefan Frederick Cook successfully challenged his deployment orders based on BHO’s illegitimacy. Orders to deploy to Afghanistan were rescinded! Please spread this to every military person you know as it is further confirmation you have NO legal Commander In Chief. Now do you get why THEY have not arrested Lt. Commander Walter Fitzpatrick? They CAN’T risk exposure, plain and simple. So here’s your task. Use the Lt. Commander’s criminal complaint and substitute your name and rank. Notarize and send to me and your State U.S. Attorneys. It will be used in Grand Jury Presentments and other actions designed to FORCE compliance of the top brass to their “OATH OF OFFICE”. In case you haven’t figured it out yet, it WILL be the MILITARY that comes to the rescue of our country. Only YOU can stand up against this monster. Only YOU can make the difference. We The People have had our GOD given rights stripped by the Legislative and Judicial branches of this now FOREIGN government. We stand shoulder to shoulder with you in this fight to restore America to its basis as a Constitutional Republic, the best form of government ever invented on this planet.

    Um, while we’re engaged with a ruthless enemy overseas, these backwards ignorant turds are telling our troops to either (1) lay down their arms and refuse to serve, or (2) overthrow a constitutionally elected President. It’s a bit convoluted so I’m not exactly sure what they’re saying – but I’ve heard it all before from IVAW, Code Pink and VFP. it was traitorous then and it’s traitorous now. It was traitorous when Ron Paul was your savior and it’s traitorous when Orly Taintz is your savior.

    What’s next? When the troops refuse to do your bidding, are you going to spit on them and call them babykillers?

    This Ain’t Hell stands firmly on the Constitution, and we don’t support insurrection. All three of us swore to protect and defend the Constitution and we’ve all been tested in that regard. Do any of us support the current administration’s policies? Other than their policy towards the Taliban, no. To think otherwise is to disregard the last three years of This Ain’t Hell. It’s juvenile to say that we do.

    Is Obama an American citizen? I don’t know. But I know that while we’re talking about some idiot pretender Major who refused to go on the deployment that he volunteered for, we’re getting a socialist health care system rammed up our collective ass. And the nirthers continue to flail around trying to subvert the military.

    That’s why I think you’re crazy.

    By the way, where’s Orly Taintz’ birth certificate? Did she get that by correspondence course, too?

  • The crazy comes full circle

    Someone sent me a link that warned me Mom’s basement-dwellers across the country received their marching orders this weekend from their central command center in the basement of Ron Paul;

    U.S. Rep. Ron Paul, a Texas Republican and a former presidential candidate, sent an e-mail to his supporters today urging them to help Adam Kokesh, who has formed an exploratory committee as he considers running against Luján.

    “Adam Kokesh has been a tremendous supporter — of both me AND you! As a leader of Iraqi Veterans Against the War, Adam has spent years traveling the country to spread our message of peace, a strong national defense and limited government,” Paul wrote in the e-mail. “Adam has tremendous credibility because of his service in the United States Marine Corps and I have deep respect for his commitment to principle.”

    Paul wrote that sending Kokesh to Congress “would be a tremendous victory for the Freedom Movement, and if we come together and stand behind him, he has a real chance to win.”

    So the crazy comes full circle. Two inflated egos come together to shake the nickels and dimes out of the pockets of people who think they’re serious. The presidential candidate without a foreign policy meets the IVAW candidate who runs for public office just because he can’t find a job.

  • Perhaps my last Kokesh post

    In the event you missed it, Uncle Jimbo did an interview with IVAW ‘s Adam Kokesh yesterday (and yes, that’s my signature jiggly camera work);

    TSO thought it was funny that I reminded Kokesh that he endorsed Bob Barr last year for a little while – that I knew his schtick better than he does.

    Well, Raoul reminded me yesterday of the exchange I had with Kokesh here last year about whether he’d ever called himself “Sergeant Kokesh” after he left the Marine Corp Reserves. So I chased down a cached copy of his old blog at the Wayback Machine;

    And that settles the last bit of business I have with Kokesh. So he can go back to Santa Fe without looking over his shoulder and I can find a new person to stalk. I’ve got a couple of ideas already.

  • Washington Tea Party live blogging

    I’m at Lafayette Park, doing my photography thing. Here are some of the first pictures. I’ll be updating this post all afternoon with pictures, videos and commentary when I can.

    Joe the Plumber is here;
    Tea Party 030
    He was a big hit, but he said he was there to do interviews for Pajama Media and he did – he probably interviewed ten people between shaking everyone’s hand.

  • Playing with MovieMaker

    I was just sitting around reading a copy of a brand new book (yeah, publicity agents send me books to review these days) about Hugo Chavez and decided to make a video for you to watch and listen. It’s some of my favorite moonbat pictures of 2008 set to Santana and Steven Tyler’s version of “Just Feel Better”.

    Turn up the speakers and get a glass of rum and enjoy.

  • IVAW’s Kokesh withdraws Barr endorsement

    For those of you still following the antics of IVAW, you probably remember that Adam Fallujah Kokesh, the IVAW’s resident lunatic, famously announced he’d be supporting Bob Barr now that Ron Paul was pulling out of the Republican primary contest. I knew when Kokesh announced he was supporting Ron Paul he was just trying to help divide the Republican Party, and his support for Barr was just an extension of that little ploy.

    Well, a reader sent me a link to a Reason report today that Kokesh finally withdrew from Barr’s contest. The background for the report is a Barr press conference following a Ron Paul press conference down the hall;

    Kokesh raised his hand and started talking; Barr campaign chairman Russ Verney asked him to identify his media organization. “I’m an independent blogger,” Kokesh said. Verney and Kokesh talked over each other for about 30 seconds, Verney trying to move on, Kokesh explaining what had made him so angry. “Leadership is not just about knowing when to lead, but knowing when to follow,” Kokesh said. “You failed that test today and I retract my endorsement of you.”

    What an arrogant little toad. I guess he’s taking his ten IVAW voters and leaving. But at least the charade has ended.

    He can go all in for the “O” now…especially since some guy in Denver who said he was with the Obama campaign took their letter of demands (to end the war in Iraq and pay reparations to the Iraqis) and promised Obama would read it. But McCain didn’t bother to give the IVAW players that satisfaction…another reason to support McCain.

    Kokesh can thank his VFP/VVAW buddies for the McCain snub. Why would a Vietnam vet want to give a moment of time to anyone associated with that crowd of pussies.
