  • Democrats propose “redeployment”

    On ABC’s “This Week”, little Joey Biden and fat-ass Carlie Levin adopted the language of “Cut and Run” John Murtha and proposed “redeployment” from Iraq. They can’t summon enough testicular fortitude to call it what it is; de-Iraq-ization in the Left’s muddled language of the Vietnam era.

    They’d love nothing more than to have photos of US troops scrambling to a waiting helicopter on the roof of the US embassy under fire or footage of US sailors pushing helicopters into the Persian Gulf from the decks of US carriers. They pee themselves a little just thinking about it.

    We’ve already got the soon-to-be Chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee, Pat Leahy taking the terrorists’ side;

    …Leahy is drafting a bill to undo portions of the new law in an effort to restore habeas corpus rights for enemy combatants.

    A spokeswoman for Leahy told the newspaper the bill would be intended to repeal portions of the law that prevent some detainees from pursuing federal court challenges to the government’s authority to hold them indefinitely.

    And Pelosi has decided to reward Murtha’s cowardice with a post as House Democratic Leader – odd that Murtha has never led troops in combat, but now he’ll get to lead them away from combat – hence the name “Cut and Run” John Murtha.

    Levin lied about the American voters when he went on to say;

     “The people spoke dramatically, overwhelmingly, resoundingly, to change the course in Iraq,” he said during an appearance on ABC’s “This Week.” The Senate’s “first order of business is to change the direction of Iraq policy.”

    Of course, given history, we know any Democrat victory is a “mandate” (including a 43% popular vote, apparently), but Levin’s ass is showing in this statement. Maybe he’d be right if any Democrat had put forth a plan for the Iraq War before the election, but we were denied access to any plan other than the vagueries of Pelosi’s “drain the swamp” plan.

    Only after victory can Democrats claim to have any kind of a plan. The American voters might have decided differently if the Democrats decided to tell us specifically what they had in mind. Of course, if the Democrats had told us what was on their minds in the beginning, they wouldn’t be the Democrats we all know.

    Maybe if Democrats had any sort of successful record of using military force in the last 60 years, we might listen to them when it comes to strategy. But the only thing they’ve been able to do with any great success is leave the enemy choking in their dust.

  • Abu Hamza al-Muhajir tosses in hat for DNC chair

    Yesterday al-Qa’eda released a taped message that congratulated Americans on endorsing al Qa’eda’s Democrat candidates for Congress. You can almost hear them peeing themselves a little over the voters’ capitulation to al-Qa’eda’s demands that we elect Democrats.

    From the Washington Times story;

    In neighboring Iran, Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei also expressed satisfaction with the Democratic gains in the U.S. vote, calling them a boon for Tehran.
        “The issue in these elections was not a purely domestic issue for America, but it is the defeat of Bush’s hawkish policies in the world,” the Iranian leader said in remarks to the ISNA news agency.
        “Since Washington’s hostile and hawkish policies have always been against the Iranian nation, this defeat is actually an obvious victory for the Iranian nation,” the hard-line cleric added.

    Abu Hamza al-Muhajir, the Egytian-born leader of al-Qa’eda in Iraq tossed his hat in the ring for the DNC chair by parroting Democrat campaign commercials;

    Calling Mr. Bush a “coward” and the “most stupid president” in history, the al Qaeda leader also said, “The American people have put their feet on the right path by … realizing their president’s betrayal in supporting Israel. So they voted for something reasonable in the last elections.”

    I wonder if this will give Democrats or their supporters a moment’s pause to think about the damage they’ve done to this country just to feed their shallow egos.

  • Thoughts on the 2006 election

    Well since the Democrats have already decided they’re “going after” their boogeymen, I guess we can all get ready for a rolicking two years. Don Rumsfeld has resigned which will give them less targets to fire off their shotguns at – I’m sure he won’t be the last.

    All of the usual suspects we remember so fondly from the 90s like that dork Waxman and that borderline thug Conyers are chomping at the bit to get in front of the cameras again. And we can bet that the mental midgets in the media will be more than accomodating.

    Already the press is wetting themselves thinking about lining up Haliburton, the CIA, Big Oil, Big Energy, Big Drugs against a bullet-ridden wall and an angry Democrat Congress wasting the taxpayers’ money on stupid pointless investigations in front of the cameras.

    The Democrats remind me of an old master sergeant I knew who told me that the best way to avoid real work was to walk around with a clip board and an angry expression. No one ever bothered him, it seems, because he always looked like he was busy and pissed off. Looks to me like the Democrats have been taking notes from his biography. All bluster and no results.

    But we brought this on ourselves. We let the media let us get riled up over the little nothing issues like the Dubai port deal, we complained that his Supreme Court nominees weren’t conservative enough. We got wrapped up in the details of the Iraq War instead letting the commanders win. We stayed home from the election to “make a point” over minutae. We let the media get to us. The American people always get the government they deserve.

    We can take solice in the fact that Congress will get nothing done with the tiny Democrat minority – it’s not veto-proof and the President doesn’t seem to be the mood for getting along with anyone too soon. I think the Democrats burned up any of his good will for them in the first six years. He’s got nothing to lose by being a real Conservative now.

    But I guess the real bad news for today is that Daniel Ortega won the Presidency of Nicaragua today. All of the Communists are having a real good day.

  • Democrats lose 2006 election

    Yeah, Democrats have picked up more seats than Republicans, but look at how they did it. They ran as Republicans – Democrats won because they mouthed the words of traditional Republican planks. Who really believes that Democrats are going to be fiscally responsible? Who thinks Democrats really give a rat’s ass about national security? Who thinks that Democrats will equip our troops properly or properly care for those troops when they’re wounded?

    Nancy Pelosi is already screaming that their narrow margin of victory is a “mandate” against the war in Iraq. Their “mandate” is a handful of House and Senate seats. But Democrats will squander their win by being shrill anti-Americans and because they won’t accept that they won by being Republicans, they’ll lose in 2008.

    The Democrats won by muzzling Pelosi in the final months of the campaign. They hid Reid while we all read about his scandalous land deals only in the blogs. Kerry was forced back to one of his mansions to sit out the final days with his weak-ass apology released on a website rather than in person. Murtha wouldn’t even debate Irey in Pennsylvania throughout the campaign to prevent him from fumbling through an unrehearsed confrontation and show us that he truly is an imbecile.

    This narrow victory has handed the Democrats a pulpit from which they can show their true colors and show Americans that Democrats don’t deserve the reins of power in this country. Rahm Emmanuel is on my television this minute declaring that this narrow victory is the voice of Americans declaring a withdrawal from Iraq, because he, a Democrat in Chicago, was elected. Is a Democrat winning a seat in Chicago really so rare that it can be called a “mandate” from all Americans? Truthfully, I wasn’t aware that there were any Republican voters in Chicago.

    I predict the Democrats will daily show us their collective ass over the next two years. As I said; Democrats will lose in 2008 because they won’t accept the reality of what really won them seats. Their strategy; don’t act like Democrats during elections. Is that really any way to represent the American people?

    The really bright spot in this election, though is Leiberman’s victory in Connecticut. That event alone should have awakened Democrats that this isn’t about the Iraq War as much as it is about a more conservative agenda from the shrill, far-Left creatures who’ve hijacked a formerly-American party and transformed it into something that more closely resembles the bar scene from Star Wars. And the creatures in that bar are more closely related to reality than the creatures we’re forced to see daily on our televisions from the Democrat Party.

    If nothing else, they’ll keep bloggers busy with plenty of material.

  • John Kerry is an idiot

    I just had to say that. The hotel’s wireless went down so I couldn’t get to this blogsite to ensure that everyone knows that I think John Kerry is a smouldering turd. The cowardice the SwiftBoat vets watched Kerry demonstrate in Vietnam is apparent once again. He calls all veterans dunces in public, in front of a TV camera, then denies he meant it that way in public, in front of a TV camera – and his weak-ass excuse accuses all of us of being dunces for not understanding the nuances of his “joke”.

    In case he decides to remove his statement on election day, here it is in it’s entirety;

    As a combat veteran, I want to make it clear to anyone in uniform and to their loved ones: my poorly stated joke at a rally was not about, and never intended to refer to any troop.

    I sincerely regret that my words were misinterpreted to wrongly imply anything negative about those in uniform, and I personally apologize to any service member, family member, or American who was offended.

    It is clear the Republican Party would rather talk about anything but their failed security policy. I don’t want my verbal slip to be a diversion from the real issues. I will continue to fight for a change of course to provide real security for our country, and a winning strategy for our troops.

    And before he can explain to us what an idiot he is, he has to make it about Republicans and “failed security policy”. As if John Kerry would know what a successful security policy would look like. The guy that travels to Paris to talk to our enemies. The guy that travels to Nicaragua to hug our enemies. The guy that went to Syria to hug our enemies.

    But those of us who know the John Kerry type aren’t surprised. How many of us knew ticket punchers who’d volunteer for difficult assignments and then spend their time looking for a way out of it. Then we’d see them splashed across some sort of media telling us how much of an expert they are on a subject – more of an expert than the people who trained them. They’re always better and smarter than the rest of us because they’re the only ones who can attract some gullible inexperienced television reporter or newspaper hack. Kerry must’ve done it with money, cuz he’s never had a telegenic mug.

    And now we know that everyone in the military were too stupid to study in school. But we already knew what the Left thought of the military. Remember the stories during the 2004 election about recruiters “tricking” students into enlisting? Apparently those students were too stupid to avoid volunteering for the military by themselves. Recruiters are always targeted – but they’re an easy target for the Left. Recruiters are nearby and they tend to be friendlier than combat troops – who might be tempted to punch some smelly hippie in the throat.

    Before the war against terrorism, there was an idiot Leftist on some other discussion board I frequented that matter-of-factly told me that recruiters pursued him until they realized he was “too smart” for the military and then blew him off everytime he called. Like Hillary’s claim that the marines didn’t want her at the height of the Viet Nam War because she was a “girl”. The Left can’t even lie well about their military experiences. Where is John Murtha’s “band of brothers” who should be coming out of the wood work to defend him about this time.

    In my opinion, John Kerry (and Murtha, for that matter) needs a good old fashioned ass-whooping. I’m sure his prep-school life has insulated him from the ass-whoopings we’ve all had that make us a little bit smarter about who we piss off. John Kerry needs to be thrown to the pavement, have his underwear pulled up over his head and be sent home crying with a pinkbelly.

    And, honestly, I don’t think it’d be very hard to do.

    On second thought, maybe we should try him for his crimes, for deaths he’s caused over the last thirty years and sentence him to die, like Saddam Hussein – Hussein is calling for a national reconcilliation which is a damnsight more than Kerry has ever done to date.

  • Try to behave youselves

    The boss and I are flying to the tropics for a week to soak up some sun and some rum. In the meantime, checkout the new links in “Special Attention” in the righthand column. Hat tip to Powerline for the info on “Setting the Record Straight” and  “For the Record“, the White House’s and Defense Department’s attempts to counter media bias against this administration.

    I’ll check in from time-to-time (the hotel only had CNN International last year), but we’ll be back next Tuesday.

  • Changing the course

    How do Democrats think that by winning Congress next week they’ll change the course of the war in Iraq? Do they think that they’ll become the new Department of Defense? Do they think that they’ll be able to cut off funds for the war (the budget is all they really control)?  No, actually, Nancy Pelosi’s claim that a Democrat Congress wouldn’t try to impeach the President is an outright lie – it’s the only way Congress can influence the War Against Terror so, of course they’ll attempt impeachment. Despite the fact that there’s no evidence of malfeasance..

    Do they think that professional military commanders who’ve sworn allegiance to the Constitution and the President will start taking orders from a loose collection of nitwits like Henry Waxman and Dick Durbin? The only thing they can do is investigate and denigrate those commanders in public. The only thing they can do is disparage our military while grilling the service chiefs. Those chiefs can only nod their head, smile, go back to their offices and follow the President’s orders.

    The only thing that Congress can do is get more of troops killed by making them perfect targets for the international cabal of thugs and sociopaths – as long as the deaths of more of our troops weaken our public will and as long as Democrats use dead bodies as ammo against the successful execution of this war. And go through the motions of an impeachment.

    The troops know it, too. They know who is calling them SS guards, they know who claims Iraq was better off under Hussein. They know who is trying to draft their baby brother and baby sister into the military.  The troops know who will try to toss out their votes next week.

  • Republicans’ biggest sin

    What will really cost Republicans the most votes this election. It’s not pedophiles or campaign bribes. It’s not because soccer moms don’t like wars or that soccer dads don’t like immigrants. It’s because Republians have been successful keeping Americans reasonably safe in the War Against Terror. Who would have thought that we’d have gone this long since September 11th, 2001 without a major attack on our civilian population on our soil?

    The worst part – no one believes it. The White House has listed terror attacks it has foiled, but because there’s no blood, because there are no terrifying pictures, it just doesn’t resonate with the media, and so it doesn’t resonate with the public.  Michael Moore’s “There is no terrorist threat” statement is much easier and comforting to believe. Who wants to believe that there are people out there who want to kill us?

    We can watch “French youths” burn buses and cars in Paris and wipe our brows while sighing “at least that isn’t happening here”. Not yet. Bombs go off in London’s underground, Spanish police corner terrorists in their bomb factories and bust recruiting rings for al-Qe’ada. Italian police bust terrorist cells just last month – but nothing sets off bells in the American public’s collective mind.

    This Republican President has done the best with what he was given, and he kept his promise to keep us safe and because of that, his party will lose votes in their elections this Fall. Of course, if there had been attacks with all of the blood and gore that the media craves, he’d probably lose votes, too.

    Democrats want to keep us safe, too, they say. They also want to strip away the PATRIOT Act (which they all voted for), they want to release the terrorists in Guantanamo, they want to stop tracking phone calls from terrorists to people inside the United States, they want to stop killing terrorists in Afghanistan and Iraq (which really has become a meatgrinder that processes and packs all of the sociopaths from throughout the world).

    They want us to keep funding Hamas and they want to keep paying off Kim Jung Il, they’re scared of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s bluster so they’ll start paying him protection money soon enough. They will cave into Hugo Chavez (because he’s really no different than they are) and just to keep Communism alive, they’ll prop up Raul Castro. And, oh, how happy they’ll be if Daniel Ortega wins in Nicaragua again.

    Just because there’s no real proof that this Republican Administration has kept us safe. And because it’d be uncomfortable to think otherwise.
