    Douglas Duane Dietrich; Phony Desert Storm Marine

    Douglas Dietrich2

    Someone sent us their work on this Douglas Duane Dietrich fellow. Suffice it to say that he is a crank of monumental proportions. Lucky for me, I only have to address his claim that he was a Marine veteran of Desert Storm, because he’s claimed all sorts of crazy-ass shit involving cover-ups of Pearl Harbor, aliens, “the reality behind vampires, zombies, Soviet psychic warfare, and other occult phenomena”. Its all at his LinkedIn page. Like his version of his career in the Marine Corps;

    Dietrich Claims

    He single-handedly invaded Kuwait and wiped out Hussein’s chemical weapons cache so they couldn’t be used against US troops. While he wasn’t taking out Saudi Religious Policemen with his bare hands. The problem, of course, is that his records don’t match his tales. He had four months in the Marine Corps from October 1987 – January 1988 and he was an entry level separation. Or that’s what the government would have you believe;

    Duane Dietrich FOIA

    He admits that he was an entry level discharge, but he claims that he took another shot at military service before Desert Storm and made it into the service, but the Pentagon disagrees. He was not on active duty during Desert Storm according to DoD’s HR;

    Dietrich Manpower Report

    Other people have done a better job of tearing him down as a general crank, you can read his windbag meanderings through the English language, or you can watch the hours of his YouTube videos. My focus is on military service, and his lack thereof. It seems that the rest of his bullshit rests on his service as Marine, so there you go.

  • Joe “Gunney” Dominguez

    Joe “Gunney” Dominguez

    Joseph Dominguez

    The Greenwich Time did a biography of this fellow, Joseph Fredrick Dominguez, a trainer at the New York Sports Club and they speak glowingly of his time spent in the Marine Corps;

    Joseph Dominguez claims

    Just the nick name “Gunny” makes you think of someone who spent decades in the Marine Corps molding young Marines into heroes.

    But Dominguez, who earned his nickname as a gunnery sergeant in the Corps, doesn’t talk much about his days in Marine Force Recon (Special Forces). He also doesn’t say much about serving as a Marine drill instructor at Paris Island, S.C., or about his service during Desert Shield and Desert Storm in Iraq or in Operation Restoring Hope in Somalia (1992-93) — and post-9/11, in the Enduring Freedom campaign in Iraq and Afghanistan. And he doesn’t talk about the scars — bullet wounds — that document his service.

    Now, I didn’t purchase a subscription to that fine periodical, so I don’t know what the rest of the article says, but I’m pretty sure that it doesn’t tell you “Ha-ha, just kidding!” because that’s the only thing that helps them recover from that bio.

    See, Joe, here only spent less than two years in the Marine Corps. He left as a Lance Corporal (E-3) as opposed to Gunnery Sergeant (E-7), and oh, by the way, he joined on March 28, 1991, a month after Desert Storm ended and he was UA (unauthorized absence)/AWOL twice for brief periods, and after the second incident, they tossed him to the curb a few weeks later. No Marine Force Recon training, no Desert Storm, no Somalia, no OEF deployments, and no bullet wounds.

    There’s this firefighter guy in San Bernadino County, California by the name of Glenn Nicholas. Folks tell us that he claims to be a Marine. They say that he has stickers and plates on his truck identifying him a Marine. He even has a tattoo;

    22010

    I checked the Manpower Single Record Report website, and couldn’t find any active duty for him. The US Marine Corps says “Who?”

    Untitled

    Added; There have been some questions about this picture, that people think might actually be Nicholas and it’s endorsed by his mother;

    20160819_082843_resized

    First of all, Nicholas claims that he joined the Marines in 1994 – Marpats weren’t issued in the USMC until January 2002. Secondly, a reverse image search on Google says that the picture is actually Sergeant Dakota Meyer (from this link), recipient of the Medal of Honor. So, no, it’s not Nicholas.

  • John Edward Egri; job hunting phony

    Someone sent us this resume from John Egri in Lima, Ohio. I don’t know what job he was trying to get, but I’m pretty sure that he’s not qualified for it;

    He also provides this handy DD214;

    My DD214 is printed on the 1988 version of the document, too, but it doesn’t look anything like that. Anyway, he should get in touch with the NPRC, because their records of his service look nothing like his version;

    He went through medical training and then pawns himself off as as some kind of high speed killer dude. I guess he has some regrets. It looks like he had some active duty time as an engineer, 12 Foxtrot, then he transferred to the National Guard in the Medical field of endeavor.

    UPDATED: deckie sends us the reason Mr Egri might have left the Medical field;

    Roberto Chen Canul Chen (2)

    According to folks who know him, Roberto Chen Canul Chen has been telling strangers that he is a wounded veteran in order to gain good favor and to separate folks from their assets. Walter Weathersby is not a Tuskegee Airman

    Walter Weathersby

    Someone sent us a link to an article which calls this fellow, Walter Weathersby a Tuskegee Airman, one of the famous folks who helped defeat the Nazis in Europe;

    One Tuskegee Airman still lives in the area, but he wasn’t able to make it to the ceremony.

    “Chief [Walter] Weathersby was a Tuskegee Airman,” said Champaign Police Chief Anthony Cobb. “And it’s nice to know we have one living among us. At the same token, Chief Weathersby was also the first African American Chief Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force.”

    Another link goes further into his personal history;

    Because of his aptitude, the Air Force later relented, and Weathersby was able to enter a career field — supply — and would go on to serve for 30 years in the Air Force, retiring in 1983.

    It was at Lockbourne AFB in Columbus, Ohio, — the only all-African American Air Force base in the nation — where Weathersby was a cook for the Tuskegee Airmen — the 99th Pursuit Squadron and the 477th Bomb Squadron.

    “They stood out because they were selected people in the 99th and we were in support organizations,” Weathersby said. “We were very proud of them — them and the 92nd Division and 93rd Division and the 467th Tank Division out of Fort Polk, La.

    Weathersby said he had a desire to be a pilot and took the test to see if he would qualify and got high marks after about four years in the service, but his parents didn’t want him to become a pilot. because it was too dangerous.

    While the Tuskegee Airmen history did end at Lockbourne Field in Columbus, Ohio, they were deactivated in July 1947. Chief Master Sergeant Weathersby didn’t join the Air Force until 1953, so the Tuskegee Airmen were long gone before he ever put on a uniform.

    While the Chief Master Sergeant had a stellar career in the Air Force during a difficult period in our social history, he wasn’t a Tuskegee Airman by any stretch of the imagination. I told the author of that story linked above, Mr. Hinton, but all I heard was crickets.

    Alvin Long; Marine Force recon, Army Special Forces phony

    Alvin Long2

    Folks at Green Beret Posers Exposed sent us a tip on this Alvin Long character. He claims to have been a Marine Force Recon operator and then his wife made him quit, but she was fine with him going on to be an Army Special Forces operator. He claims six combat deployments and six Purple Hearts to match. Here you can hear him tell it in this video;

    Part of his story is true, but not enough of it. He spent four years in the Marine Corps from 1959 – 1963 – none of it in any Recon units. Most of it was spent on dry land in California. He went into the Army National Guard from August 1963 – March 1964, then he went into the Army March 1965 – March 1981, not as a special forces operator, but as a truck driver. He did three tours of Vietnam as a truck driver, then he became an MP. No jump school, no special forces training.

    His family says that he kept his lies to himself until his wife died recently and then he busted out, first making himself a Master Sergeant until he unilaterally promoted himself to sergeant major;

    Folks in Oregon got tired of hearing stories from Darrin Rex Stewart about his derring-do as a Special Forces medic, his combat exploits in Operation Just Cause, where he claims that he was wounded. He claims that he has PTSD and Tourettes Syndrome as a result of his service. He wears the Purple Heart cap in the photo above as proof of his combat service. Here are some close ups;
