Toasty wants a Superbowl Weekend Open Thread already, so here it is, along with the picture she sent. Who is playing in this game, anyway? If the Giants ain’t in it, I don’t care.

You didn’t ask for one, but here it is. The news of the day is that, Daniel A. Bernath, in his appeal of the restraining order hearing in which he failed last Spring, he’s also failed in the appeal of that decision. Probably more because he’s lazy and didn’t serve notice of the appeal to me or my lawyers, and he failed to file the opening brief. So, I’m free and clear of that scimitar hanging over my head. He had no case anyway. Our thanks to the lawyers riding herd on that whole thing.

And this weekend’s featured photo comes from Ex-Ph2 as we find our way out of the legal woods.

Ex-PH2 sends us this picture as storm clouds gather to hammer the northeast of the country this weekend. So, batten down your hatches, or run to catch a flight for Florida. The forecast for Miami is 82 degrees on Saturday and Sunday with a low of 72 degrees. On the other hand, Oswego, NY is expecting snow and the high for the weekend is supposed to be 33 with a low of 23 degrees – not that there’s much difference.

I’ll be right here, though, where it’s expected to remain above freezing. So here’s your weekend open thread – the siren song of Sparks.
