I am SO-O-O-O stealing Dave Hardin’s redneck dreamcatcher. I have one of my own to cook up. I’d love to do some global warming voodoo and drop about three feet of snow and sub-zero temperatures on Berserkley in the middle of a protest.
What? A girl can dream can’t she?
Remember: no spitting, no punching, no eye-gouging. Get your homework done, hug your kids/grandkids, and tell your bestie “Can’t do without you.”

Well, it’s the ‘dead of winter’. Snow is in the offing in my kingdom, unless we get lucky and the snowband goes north and south of us and we stay free and clear of it. (I wish.) And winter is comfort food time, so anything in that category like bacon mac and cheese is hot to trot!
Mac and cheese, baked eggs, anything with bacon, cornbread…. Well, get it on!

Okay, it’s early, but I have to go run some errands and may be out for a little bit.
I think that curmudgeon Dave Hardin is muddling around with some stuff, too, but nothing definite. I’ll have more later. Have some fun. It snowed here last night and I am not a happy camper. I get to shovel. Not my cup of tea. More later!

Okay, boys and girls, do your worst right here.
It’s Wednesday Open Thread and my fingers are getting worn to the bone keeping you rancorous little twirps amused.
No pushing, no shoving, no pinching or poking. There’s more open space on the way, so if you’re snowed in and bored silly, give us your snowbound avalanche stories now.

I’m not sure what’s going on, and TSO has not heard anything, either, so if you want to just post best wishes or whatever, please do it here.
Thanks.
UPDATE: I have limited information about Our Glorious Leader, but when an update IS available about him and his whereabouts, either TSO or I will advise you posthaste.
UPDATE OF UPDATE: he is in a hospital in MD, and is posting on Facebook. Since I don’t do Facebook, could someone say “HI!” to him for me? Thanks. Ex-PH2

Women in traditional clothing rest on a rough-hewn footbridge in Nubra Valley in Ladakh, India. Barren but breathtaking Ladakh (“land of high mountain passes”) is home to a predominantly Buddhist population who live according to generations-old traditions. “Dubbed ‘Little Tibet’ because of its geographical and cultural proximity to Tibet (and it also is host to many Tibetan refugees),” photographer Kieron Nelson writes, “… this austerely beautiful region is like nowhere else in India.”
