    Thursday morning feel good stories

Our first story this morning comes from St Louis, Missouri where a woman and her son heard the alarm in their detached garage sound off. When she went to check on it, she found a man rummaging through her garbage. She yelled for him to stop, but he ignored her. After a while he made motions that made her think that he was going to attack her, so she fired her gun at him and he jumped through a window. Then he got into an altercation with her son – she shot again and he took off. The police found him later with a wounded leg.

In Denver, Colorado, a pot head was shot while he was trying to steal pot from a homeowner. Two problems, the reporter says that in Colorado you can only shoot people who try to get into your home and the pot head was shot in the yard. The other problem is that police aren’t sure if it was a legal pot growing facility. But, hey, legalizing weed will reduce crime, right?

A homeowner in Texarkana, Texas, wounded two burglars that he found in his home.

In Appling, Georgia, an 81-year-old man fired a warning shot in the direction of a drunk fellow looking for pizza, or something.

In Columbia, Missouri, two home invaders grossly underestimated the amount of force they’d need to invade a house occupied by five people who took their gun away from them and held one of them for the police while the other scurried off.

In Waynesboro, Georgia, an armed mom fought off armed invaders with her shotgun and .44 magnum. If you want more details, you’ll have to pay for a subscription, because I won’t.

    Wednesday morning feel good stories

In Toledo, Ohio, bouncers tossed Keshawn Groom out of a bar apparently over a dispute about a cigarette. Young Keshawn came back in the bar with a gun and shot Anthony Henderson and his wife. Mr. Henderson pulled out his own firearm and shot Mr. Groom, who was pronounced DOT (dead over there) at the hospital.

In Salinas, California, a man busted through a back door of a home and attacked the fellow he found inside. That fellow, Kailas Dahl, pulled out his gun and made the attacker DRT (Dead Right There). Mr. Dahl is in jail for drug possession, but not on the charges that would result from killing the intruder.

In Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, three fellows forced their way into home with firearms. A struggle in the home ensued and one of the residents disarmed one of the thugs and shot him multiple times making him DRT. The other two fled the scene.

In Valdosta, Georgia, a man let two home invaders into his home. They pushed him to the floor and he came up with a pipe in his hands and beat the pair until they left. A gun is much better, but a pipe worked in this case.

Marine_7002 and Chip send us an update to one of our stories last week, about the woman who blasted away at the tires of an escaping shoplifter at Home Depot in Detroit, Michigan. Her name is Tatiana Duva-Rodriguez and she’s been charged with reckless discharge of a firearm. We kind of predicted that would happen because no one was endangered until she decided to be all Batman and stop the evildoers with her gun. So let that be a lesson out there for the kids. Take out your phone and get a picture of them instead.

    Tuesday morning feel good stories

Our first story comes from Tuscaloosa, Alabama, where a man was attacked by two others in the parking lot. He broke free and went back to his apartment. The two followed him and continued beating him until his girlfriend got her gun and convinced them to stop with a couple of rounds. One of them was struck by a bullet and he’s in critical condition. It looks like it might have been a drug rip-off since the apartment was found to contain a lot of weed by investigating officers.

    Sorry, that’s all I could find last night. However, the leftists at Raw Story seem angry that the story we did yesterday about the fellow who shot a thief at the Waffle House in Charleston South Carolina didn’t result in an arrest for the Good Samaritan. They call him a vigilante;

    Raw Story butthurt

Police in Charleston, South Carolina declined to press any charges against a Waffle House customer who shot and killed a man who was reportedly trying to rob the restaurant.

According to the WCSC Channel 5, police say 19-year-old Joshua Jermaine Davis of North Charleston entered the Waffle House restaurant on Dorchester Road shortly after 5 a.m. Saturday morning and pulled a gun on the staff, demanding money.

The Charleston Post and Dispatch said that a customer opened fire on Davis. Emergency responders rushed the would-be robber to Medical University Hospital where he died of his injuries.

North Charleston Police spokeswoman Lt. Angela Johnson told Channel 5 that the customer had a valid permit to carry a pistol and that officers will not be pressing any charges.

The author of the Raw Story article, David Ferguson, doesn’t mention what possible charge would trigger an arrest of a legally-licensed gun owner defending himself and employees of the Waffle House from an armed robber, but he’s obviously not an adherent of the “good guys with guns” principle.

    Monday morning feel good stories

Our first story this morning comes from a link sent by one of our countless ninjas. It happened in Indianapolis, Indiana, where Karen Dolley awoke and found Jacob Wessel in her room – she reacted by punching him about a dozen times. She reached for her gun, but opened the wrong drawer. Time being of the essence here, she grabbed her Japanese-style sword called a ninjato instead and held young Jacob at sword-point until the police arrived and took him to his new accommodations.

In Charleston, West Virginia, a business owner was spending the night in his business after a series of burglaries had plagued him. He heard a noise outside and found someone monkeying with the vehicles in his lot. He started chasing the fellow, who turned around and appeared to have a bludgeoning object in his hands. The business owner fired at him, but the crook ran off. Police found blood evidence near the scene and then they responded to a suspicious person in neighborhood. They found Daniel Knight nearby with a butt-wound and took him away.

In Lafayette, Indiana, four men entered a convenience store and took the money that one customer proffered for her purchase. When the clerk protested, one of the thugs struck him. The clerk came up from the floor with his 9mm handgun and him and his manager chased the four from the store, both getting struck once again. The clerk fired his gun twice which seems to have ended the confrontation.

In Waterbury, Connecticut, an armed cafe patron stopped an armed armed robber from ripping off the business. The thief was DRT (dead right there).

A woman shot a man in Jackson, Mississippi, but police are unsure if it was a home invasion or a domestic dispute. Either way, the fellow’s injuries are not life threatening.

    Sunday morning feel good stories

We start our tour this morning in Merritt, North Carolina where three people broke into a house. The homeowner corrected the situation with his handgun and made one of the home invaders DRT (dead right there). It looks like the other two made a dash for it.

There was a self-correcting crime in Corpus Christi, Texas where police responded to a 9-1-1 call reporting that the caller had been shot. When the police arrived, they determined that the victim had tried to shoot the lock off of a bicycle so he could steal the ride, but the ricochet struck his leg. So the officers gave him a free ride to the hospital and then to the hoosegow.

In North Charleston, South Carolina, an armed customer sent an armed robber to the hospital when the thief tried to hold up a Waffle House.

In Scottsdale, Arizona, a drunk tried to force his way into an apartment where he thought he was staying. The woman inside was alone and told him to go away. Of course, he didn’t go away, and continued to try to force his way into the apartment. The bullet that the woman fired through the door and into his leg convinced him to stop.

  • Saturday morning feel good stories

    Saturday morning feel good stories

Amy sends us our first feel good story today and it comes from Harris County, Texas, where many of our stories happen. In this one, a would-be victim was approached by three fellows who wanted what he had. Fortunately, he was armed and shot two of the three, one was DRT (dead right there), another is in the hospital in serious condition and the third messed his drawers as he fled the scene.

In Las Vegas, Nevada an inhospitable man shot a late night visitor who was crawling through his window. The man told the news crew that he’d owned a gun for years for protection, but never needed it until the other night. It’s better to have one and not need it, than the other way around. There’s no word on the condition of the late night visitor.

In Oren, Utah, a carjacker tried to steal a woman’s car and her purse. A bystander heard the commotion and approached with his nine millimeter handgun and ordered the thief from the car. He stepped out with his hands up, but then lunged at the armed Good Samaritan, who ended the encountered with a single bullet, the thief was DRT (dead right there).

In Hialeah, Florida, 41-year-old Orlando Garcia chased after the man who stole his car and had an altercation with him, until pulled out his gun and ended the conversation. The thief is resting comfortably in the hospital after his self-inflicted adventure.

In Houston, Texas, an off-duty police officer coming home from second job noticed that he was being followed by a vehicle occupied by four people. So the officer pulled off on a side street and stopped, the car followed and stopped behind him and one person got out of the car and approached the officer’s car with a firearm. The officer identified himself, which didn’t slow the approach of the criminal, so the officer fired at him striking the pop-up target twice. He then returned to the vehicle and drove off with his friends who dumped his body nearby. The police rolled up on the still-breathing body and took all four in to custody (the other three were parked nearby).

  • Friday morning feel good stories

    Friday morning feel good stories

Matthew sends us our story this morning from Overbrook, Kansas, where a woman called police to tell them that she shot a man who was breaking into her house. A few minutes later, 48-year-old Bruce Jolly called police to tell them that he’d been shot at a neighbor’s house. Bruce not-so-Jolly-now is resting up in the hospital while the prosecutor weighs which charges to proffer.

Believe it or not, I finally have a morning where I can find no feel good stories. But, there is a story from the State of Lagos which should serve as a warning for those of you inclined to fire warning shots. A fellow who was in his local neighborhood watch, fired a warning shot at some car thieves and it ricocheted off of something, struck him in the head, and he was DRT. If you don’t aim at your intended target, at least pay attention to what you are aimed at. Bullets don’t know that you don’t intend to kill something.

There is something to feel good about this morning, though. James Rankin of New Castle, Pennsylvania, near Wilkes-Barre, filed a civil suit against police there for violating his civil rights. He had beat and repeatedly used stun guns on his victims while he was robbing them. Then when confronted by the police, he made a motion towards his waist band, like he had a gun. They shot him in the torso and now he’s paralyzed from the waist down. Anyway, a judge dismissed his lawsuit. So, I feel good about that.

    Thursday morning feel good stories

Marine_7002 sends us our first story this morning – it’s another Craigslist ad gone bad. A father and son went to Battle Creek, Michigan looking for a used car they saw in ads, but they were given a bogus address and instead of a used car, they were jumped by three thugs and sprayed with mace. The son pulled out his revolver and shot at least two of the thugs who bolted. Two were found a few blocks away with chest wounds and the third is still on the run. Its not known if the last little piggie (going wee-wee-wee, all the way home) is wounded or not. UpNorth updates that the third thug was captured.

A fellow in Harris County, Texas, didn’t recon his target too well. For one thing, most of our feel good stories happen in Harris County, Texas. His second mistake was breaking into the home of a sheriff’s deputy. The deputy heard him trying to break in, so as soon as he came through the door, the deputy put one in his chest. The injured man un-assed the AO and jumped in a waiting car, but he hasn’t appeared at any area hospitals yet.
