    Sunday morning feel good stories

This one will make you feel especially good – in St. Louis, Missouri, a man saw two gunmen walking his daughter towards the door of their house so he grabbed his gun and shot at the pair, killing one. The other jumped in the getaway car and drove himself to the hospital with severe injuries. Mom got into the gunfight, too, but didn’t hit anyone. The good guys are all OK, the bad guys not so much. Thanks to a Thunderstixx for the link.

That story will hafta do ya his morning, but here’s an interesting one; A Canadian citizen on vacation in Bocas de Toro, Panama with his girlfriend, was confronted by an armed intruder in his apartment. The Canadian disarmed the fellow and began struggling with him, until, finally, he picked up the criminal and tossed him over his balcony to the street twenty-five feet below. The Canadian said the criminal did a poor Parachute Landing Fall (PLF) and landed on his noggin. The police took the injured fellow away and I’ll bet the Canadian got some that night.

    Saturday morning feel good stories

We start off this morning in Lansing, Michigan, where a homeowner held off eight burglars – eight…burglars – with his firearm while he waited for police to show up. The homeowner hit two of them who were picked up by the police quickly. The other six were rounded up in the next few hours. The homeowner wasn’t injured. But, no one needs more than five or six rounds, right?

In Colorado Springs, Colorado, 54-year-old Joseph Carrigan was shot and DRT during his burglary attempt.

In Scripps Ranch, California, a man was chasing folks with a hammer and a knife and destroying property on the street when someone put an end to his episode with a legal weapon and rang his bell. Police said that his injuries weren’t life-threatening despite being hit in the noggin. I guess his head was pretty well empty. I’m sure the editorial board of the Washington Post would oppose the violent end of the nutjob’s rampage.

Police in Denver, Colorado, are looking for Carlos Ayala who tried to burglarize a home, but got sliced up pretty badly by a homeowner with a knife.

Also, in Denver, Colorado, a former police officer who moved to Denver from Fresno, California, shot a burglar who tried to force his way into the man’s home. The criminal was DRT.

In Monroe, Louisiana, police say that Donald Dade was under the influence of drugs when he forced his way into someone’s home where he sustained a leg wound when the homeowner wasn’t as ready to roll over for Dade as he had hoped.

In Falmouth, Massachusetts, one man tried to burn down another’s home, but the homeowner dissuaded the arsonist with a gun shot from his legal firearm. His brake lines had also been severed. There was no blood evidence left from the encounter.

In Lawton, Oklahoma, at 12:10 AM yesterday morning, two victims reported to police that they spotted two men trying to steal their car, but a couple of gun shots dissuaded the thieves who escaped unharmed.

In Charlotte, North Carolina, Semantha Bunce, a National Guard medic, met two intruders at the door of her bedroom. The intruders shot her, but she chased the pair away with her own handgun to protect her baby. Her injuries aren’t life-threatening and she is recovering. Her husband credits her military training for saving his family’s life.

Another homeowner in Albany, Georgia dissuaded another intruder with gunfire when the intruder broke down his door and fired his gun at the couple there.

It looks like folks need more range time across the board this morning.

    Thursday morning feel good stories

First up this morning is Houston, Texas, where a homeowner shot a burglar in the noggin. There’s no word on the condition of the perp, but another local media source says police have called for their homicide unit.

In Newport News, Virginia, a man tried to rob a convenience store by shoving a gun in the face of the clerk. Instead, the clerk at the store only gave up a few of his bullets. The thief ran out of the store and flagged down police for assistance.

In Colorado Springs, Colorado, it looks like a homeowner shot and killed a burglar in his home by reading between the lines of the article. I may be wrong, but I’m not usually.

Sammy Stanfield came back to his home in the middle of the day from work in Carter County, Oklahoma and found 55-year-old Tommy Robbins coming out of his garage. Sammy tried to stop Robbins by brandishing his .22 rifle, but Robbins wouldn’t stop, even when Sammy fired a warning shot. Then he fired once again at Robbins, hitting his arm. When Robbins tried to escape in his car, Sammy disabled the vehicle with more fire. Finally, Robbins surrendered and police arrived to arrest the injured thief.

A criminal in Harris County, Texas, forced his way into a home and fatally stabbed a teenager who was in the shower. A neighbor noticed the ruckus and came to the rescue, a bit late, but he dealt some justice to the murderer who was declared DRT (dead right there).

mattinnc sends us a link to a story in Winston-Salem, North Carolina where three fellows tried to rob a jewelry store, but the owner of the store didn’t like their idea, so he pulled out his gun and shot one of them DRT (dead right there). His pals un-assed the AO.

In Gibsonia, Pennsylvania, a man was welding at his worksite when another fellow walked in the open overhead door, pulled a gun and demanded the working man’s wallet. The man with a job reached for his wallet, but came up with his legal firearm and he fired a shot, missing the criminal, but ending the robbery, as the thief un-assed the AO.

Meanwhile, in San Antonio, Texas a woman was being robbed outside her boyfriend’s apartment. She notified her boyfriend who grabbed his firearm to lend aid to the victim. When one of the thieves turned to confront the boy friend, he shot both of them. Police report that they’re both in stable condition, which is good because they’re going to the jail when the hospital is done slicing them up.

USAF Pride and Chief Tango send us a link to the story that happened in Chicago, Illinois this weekend, where 55-year-old Reginald Gildersleeve tried to turn his life around in a currency exchange business. InHelena, Arkansas, four men pretended to be trick-or-treaters, they forced their way into the home with their shotgun leading the way. The homeowner was in his easy chair when that happened, so he reached in the chair and pulled out his handgun and fired once. The four goblins un-assed the AO unharmed leaving their shotgun and a rifle behind.

In Reading, Pennsylvania, three masked and armed men went to do some late night shopping at a market. They fired one round to establish their line of credit. Unfortunately for them, two late-night employees were also armed. They made one of the thieves DRT (dead right there) and another was DOT (dead over there) at the hospital, the third is in the wind.

In Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, police spotted a stolen car a gas station, the thief had seen them first so he high-tailed it out of the area. He ended up in Steve Dildine’s bedroom. Steve got his firearm and held the criminal until police arrived to haul him off to the hoosegow.

In Harris County, Texas, four fellows tried to force their way into a home. That’s not a good idea in Harris County, Texas, since that’s where a lot of our feel good stories happen. It worked for a little while because the fellows held the family at gun point while they collected up thier booty, but as soon as their backs were turned, the homeowner grabbed his own gun and lit them up while they made their getaway and hit one of the four. Police are currently looking for the other other three.
