    In Towson, Maryland, two fellows announced a hold up of a liquor store and flashed their handgun. The 68-year-old clerk showed them his gun and gave them some of his bullets, hitting one of them several times – they left the store at a high rate of speed, but one was DOT (dead over there) a short distance away.

    A Philadelphia, Pennsylvania homeowner, shot and killed a masked, armed man who forced his way into the home announcing a robbery. The homeowner fired four times and made the thief DRT (dead right there) with two hits on the target.

    In Cottonwood, Arizona, a homeowner shot and killed one of a team of six home invaders. Police arrived to find Gus Terrell Finklea DRT.

    Another legal gun owner is being investigated in Columbus, Ohio for firing his weapon at a shoplifter. It doesn’t seem that he hit anyone and the beer thief escaped with his booty, but, you know, you have to use common sense, and I don’t think this guy did.

    First up this morning is Albuquerque, New Mexico where a homeowner caught a group of fellows rifling through his car. When they pointed a gun at him, he pulled his own gun out and shot one of them “multiple times”. His buddies took him to the hospital and they un-assed the AO. Police say that the man in the hospital is being uncooperative.

    In Forney, Texas, a homeowner frightened off some thieves by firing several warning shots, whatever those are.

    In Detroit, Michigan, a 17-year-old shot a thief multiple times. The thief was taken to the hospital.

    A shoplifting suspect in Tucson, Arizona was shot by an armed citizen after getting in an altercation.

    In Murfreesboro, Tennessee, a man from Alabama came to buy a stereo but the sellers held him at gunpoint. He brought his own gun legally and dealt with the situation appropriately, putting one in the hospital with two new holes in him.

    In Odessa, Texas, Hector Garcia saw an armed man breaking into his home, so Hector let fly with some lead. The thief beat feet, but police found him at the hospital with wounds to the “lower body”.

    Roger sends us a link to a story that happened in Woodland, Washington, where Bill Lahti rolled up on some folks who were stealing from his home. He used his gun to force them to their knees and then he made them dial 9-1-1 to call the police on themselves.

    In Des Moines, Iowa, a man was found by police to be DRT (dead right there) after he broke into the home. There’s no cause of death mentioned in the article.

    In San Bernadino, California, a man was at home with his girlfriend and some fellows broke into the residence. He got into an altercation with one who had a gun, the man was shot in the shoulder but he wrestled the gun from the criminal and killed him DRT and wounded another. The dead man’s friends left and then got in a running vehicular shoot out. There’s no word on the body count for that one.

    Amy sends us a link from Houston, Texas, where a woman was in the parking lot outside her home on the phone with her boyfriend who was in the apartment when two men accosted her and tried to steal her purse. The boyfriend came on the scene, thought that he saw a gun, and made one of them DRT while the other un-assed the AO.

    In Vale, Oregon, a homeowner shot an intruder after an altercation, who was DRT.

    In New Orleans, Louisiana, Jordan Lowe broke into a homeowner’s vehicle when he was confronted by the homeowner. The resident went into his home followed by Lowe. The 62-year-old armed himself and shot Lowe twice. There’s no word on Mr Lowe’s condition.

    The first stop this morning is Phoenix, Arizona, where a homeowner encountered a woman trying to burglarize his work vehicle. He tried to convince her to stop, but that didn’t work, so he shot at her five times – striking the target only once with a non-life-threatening injury.

    In Ulster County, New York, Sheriff Paul Van Blarcum, a Democrat wrote to his constituent Facebook fans that they should endeavor to get their permits for carrying weapons in gun unfriendly New York State. He also urged police officers to carry their duty weapons when they’re not in uniform. There are about 10,000 gun permits in his county.

    This morning we read about three fellows who went into an apartment in Carrolton, Georgia. There were six men in the apartment and the three demanded money. Someone produced a gun and a struggle ensued. The struggle ended when one of the thieves was shot three times so they went outside where another of the trio was shot eight to nine times. Both are in critical condition and police are looking for the third fellow.

    In Denver, Colorado, where a man kicked in a woman’s door and she greeted him with gunfire shooting his hand which seems to have stopped him, but he’s in police custody. They seem to think that he was kicking in the wrong door. At this point, I’m sure he’d agree.

    In Albany, Georgia, a homeowner fired warning shots at a drunken boob who was trying to break into the home that he thought was his ex-wife’s home. The boob was held for police after the sound of gunfire sobered him up for a minute or two.

    In Panama City, Florida, one thief was shot in the leg by a homeowner and another was arrested by a homeowner who caught them trying to pilfer his stuff.

    In Winter Park, Florida, a homeowner shot one of three burglars when he found them stealing his stuff after he returned home. The trio jumped in their getaway car and crashed it, the uninjured pair of blue falcons left their buddy behind to be found by the police.

    In Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, 18-year-old Ruben A. Rodriquez Jr. was shot “during the commission of a crime” and he DOT (died over there) at the hospital. Even though details haven’t been worked out yet, his partner, 18-year-old Christian Navarro who was in on the commission of this nebulous crime has been booked for felony murder of his buddy.

    Bobo sends us our first story from Colorado Springs, Colorado this morning where an enlisted soldier let a fellow into his residence who looked like a plumber, until he threatened the soldier with a knife which caused the soldier to pull out his gun and hold the thief until police arrived. It turns out that the thief also had a gun in his waistband that he wisely kept hidden from the soldier.

    In Bradenton, Florida, a homeowner tackled an armed burglar and took his gun. When the burglar made a motion that looked like he was trying to draw another firearm, the homeowner shot him in the ankle with the burglar’s own gun and then bear-hugged him until the police arrived and took the criminal off to the hoosegow. It’s always a good idea to have your own gun and you shouldn’t depend on the burglars to bring a gun for you.

    A very detail-starved story from Las Vegas, Nevada reports that an armed citizen was injured when he intervened in a robbery. The victim and the criminal shot it out. The victim is in critical condition, but no mention of the criminal’s status at the moment.

    In Tulsa, Oklahoma an armed homeowner scared off two burglars and held the third at gun point until police arrived after the trio forced their way into his home armed with a machete and a club.

    In the dumbass criminal department, two fellows in Pontiac, Michigan are behind bars because they took a video of the home invasion of a disabled man with the victim’s phone and posted the video to his Facebook wall as well as their own.

    First stop this morning is Houston, Texas where a homeowner scored a DRT (dead right there) when an intruder tried to force his way into the house. Well, it’s a judgement call whether it’s a DRT or DOT (dead over there) – he got about ten yards before he collapsed.

    In Kingswood, Texas, where a drunken man forced his way into a stranger’s home and was going to help himself to the family’s wine when the homeowner threw him outside. The fellow kept trying to get back in the home, so the homeowner armed himself. Meanwhile, the drunk broke everything he could get hands on outside the home. The homeowner called the police who took the fellow away and then released him with no charges despite the fact that he terrorized the family and destroyed their property. The prosecutor didn’t think it was worth his time.

    Amy sends us a link to a story that happened in Houston, Texas, a homeowner found someone stealing his hubcaps, so he drilled the fellow who was taken to the hospital. Criminals in Texas should find another line of work, especially if they’re allergic to bullets.

    In Manchester, New Hampshire, a store clerk defended his wares by threatening a masked robber with his shoe.
