  • Biden, the buffoon

Yesterday there was comment around the Web regarding Joe Biden’s boorish buffoonery behind a president in desperate need of gravitas. Yet there he was, the man next in line to succeed our shamefully naked emperor, holder of the supposedly most powerful office in the world, and what does this clown crown-prince show America, and more importantly, the rest of the world? Ask yourself, were you an intelligence analyst assigned by your nation to observe, evaluate and predict the behaviors of national leaders with whom your own leaders might have to negotiate, what would you take away from the American Vice-President’s clownish behavior on a podium where his boss is struggling to appear as a strong, confident, effective leader?

    Bite Me the goof ball

Should ill fortune befall our naked emperor, (God-forbid: that would be the Kennedy brothers, Martin Luther King and Mahatma Gandhi rolled into one and times twenty for the next ten decades) the playing field tilts farther away from America as an even more accomplished incompetent succeeds his bungling boss. You simply have to know that governments around the world are gloating with the realization that at least half of the nation they so despise for its past geo-political dominance seems blindly willing to empower such imperfect men to represent them in such a very perilous world.

Trust me, those larger and lesser political carnivores around the world are smiling at the prospect of the next three years in which they either deal with the resident and proved fool or even more desirably, that grinning, finger-cocked buffoon he selected to succeed him. With Biden they are back to dealing with a white fool and are no longer required to maintain the façade of respect they had to show America’s first black president, a big politically correct plus for them. You do not have to be a student of world affairs to grasp a basic truth of human dynamics:

Those nations with strong leaders control their own destinies; those governed by inexperienced, incompetent fools are forfeit to the savages who will gleefully consume them.

  • One More Tone-Deaf Dem Who Needs Dumping

There’s a handful of incumbent Democrat senators facing some very tight races this coming November. Keeping them in the national news is the political tap-dancing they are being required to perform to put distance between themselves and their increasingly unpopular president, who is leading their party determinedly and destructively left. These senators are particularly vulnerable for their support of Obamacare which they all irresponsibly voted for without having a clue as to what they were inflicting on their constituents. Facing tough re-election contests, you’d think they might attune their political sensitivities to the decidedly dyspeptic mood of their constituents. Well, not so much with our tone deaf Democrat senator here in Arkansas, Mark Pryor.

I recently received an email from Pryor’s Republican opponent, Congressman Tom Cotton, informing me that Pryor had recently been a guest of honor at a $10,400 per plate fundraiser in Hollywood. I admit to being a Cotton supporter ( he served in the same regiment, the 506th Infantry of the 101st Airborne that I once did) but even so, I thought to myself this had to be political hyperbole. I simply could not believe that Pryor could be so politically dense as to hand his opponent such a risky advantage in such a tough fight. So I went on line and sure enough, there was ol’ Mark, supping with socialist swells (don’t expect to find any mention in the Democrat media) out there on the Left Coast, at a dinner sponsored by Alan Horn, Chairman of Walt Disney Studios, a noted lefty fundraiser, gathering in boodles of ultra-lib California cash to bring back to Arkansas to spend pounding on a down-home, good ole boy, Army war veteran.

Folks, this is Arkansas, a place where the term carpet bagging still leaves a bad taste in the mouth; and while there is still a solid contingent of the Old South Democrat party here, it is not even close to being in tune with those Chablis-sipping, Left Coast, limousine-liberal Democrats underwriting Pryor’s campaign. Most folks here in this graceful, thriving example of the Old South, embrace the reality (and what we consider an absolute blessing) that we are in flyover country. Down here, California, particularly Hollywood, is perceived as poorly here as all those Yankee blue enclaves up north, like Sheecago, Deetroit and Noo Yawk City. Pryor may be home-grown and from an old Democrat dynasty, but injecting flaming, decadent, Hollywood liberals and their ill-gained wealth into this Arkansas campaign is begging for the response that Cotton’s campaign is more than happy to hand him.

Right now there must be a whole bunch of Arkansas Democrat movers and shakers out there shaking their heads and wondering just what the hell that boy thought he was doing going out there for crying out loud. My first thought in that regard was: Desperation. As for the ever expanding Republican Party in Arkansas, they’ve just been handed proof positive and endlessly reproducible that their main line of attack is rock-solid: Mark Pryor has become a liberal, elitist, bi-coastal, socialist, more attuned to the politically correct and lib-looney interests on both coasts than those of the down home folks here in Arkansas. The Natural State just went through its coldest winter in years, but I’d bet big bucks Mark Pryor is in lock step with the hysterical, Chicken Little, global warming policies of his party. Know that saying that, “You can take the boy out of the country but you can’t take the country out of the boy?”

Mark Pryor, one more tone deaf Democrat is living proof that you can do that indeed.

  • An Army of Asian-American Secret Service Men

Yesterday an account of Michelle Obama’s junket to China described her security detail as “An army of Asian-American Secret Service Men.”

Excuuuuse me, but isn’t this exactly the kind of ethnic profiling that Libs get their panties in a wad over? Of course, sensible folks recognize the practicality of having agents who can blend in with the locals, but there is also the deterrent effect of having some huge White and Black agents whose height affords a security advantage over those same locals.

Whatever, the selection process still smacks of race-related standards which is a big no-no supposedly with liberals like the Mooch. And sense when has practicality ever mattered when it comes to racial profiling and the left? It is the very lack of such practicality that has airport security treating grannies and infants with the same suspicion as young Muslim males and it is the same nonsensical deference to political correctness that denies law enforcement organizations to employ ethnicity in screening suspects for crime and terrorism even though minorities commit most crimes and Muslims carry out most acts of terrorism. Noooo, in those situations it is wrong, even evil, to permit ethnicity to be considered. But then, it is apparently perfectly alright to use it in selecting the security detail for the family of the world’s leading liberal.

Is this to become a new trend in security staffing for overseas jaunts by our resident royalty: all black agents for trips to Africa, all Hispanics for trips south? Well then, what about all blue-eyed, blond-haired agents for royal excursions to Nordic nations.

Yeah right, I’m being ridiculous there…

  • You Bought His Ticket; He Took You for a Ride

Perhaps there is some true justice in the revelation today that Barack Obama, apologist to the world for American greatness, has just given a huge part of that scientific and engineering eminence to a world body that has no legal claim to all that which has come from America’s technological genius. Yes, Silicon Valley, it’s true, your messiah is telling you, “You didn’t build that.” How does it feel to have your legs cut from beneath you by this global leveler who has no regard for the huge amount of endeavor and intellect that has gone into this world-changing technology you have created? More or less, he’s telling you that you and all your brilliant accomplishments are no more than co-equal with every other being on this earth, for example, Barack Obama’s destitute, impoverished brother living in the slums of Nairobi. Yes, in Obama World, that man is your equal in every way. Learn to live with it, dude.

With a scratching of his pen, and perhaps a few regal utterances into his phone, this man who would be king has rendered your amazing technological accomplishments irrelevant and of no consequence, handing over American superiority in computer technology and information systems to a world body that has little regard for ensuring America’s continuation as the incubatory mother of all that is out there on the cutting edge of everything.

Short version: the messiah you computer geeks believed to be a second coming is selling all of you geeks you down the river; or as is more commonly associated with Barack Obama, throwing you under that muchly over-used bus. How many millions of dollars did you fools funnel to this man who now sells you down the digital river, where you are no longer Americans, but rather subjects of a world body not particularly friendly, if not openly hostile, to American technological superiority?

I hope you’re ready for millions of you to be replaced/displaced by the poor in third world nations you were always so concerned about, whose plight you always so piously proclaimed. Of course there’s always the option of your relocating from California to Tajikistan’s global networking headquarters, or some other similarly appealing enviro to pursue your digital dreams.

Hey, geniuses, you bought the guy a ticket and he took you for a ride.

  • More Dim Dems

Remember last summer, when the Congressional Black Caucus was pushing Sheila Jackson Lee to be the new head of Homeland Security? Aside from her previously disclosed problems with managing staff, one of the main criticisms was that the woman simply was not smart enough for the job.

Considering our serving president, one could have reason to wonder if that’s even a requirement for a department head in a Democrat administration. Whether or not Sheila could have done any more damage to the country than her party’s leader, yesterday she provided additional proof that there are some gaps in her grasp of American history and governance. Standing before the House, Lee offered this:

Maybe I should offer a good thanks to the distinguished members of the majority, the Republicans, my chairman and others, for giving us an opportunity to have a deliberative constitutional discussion that reinforces the sanctity of this nation and how well it is that we have lasted some 400 years, operating under a constitution that clearly defines what is constitutional and what is not[.]

As the folks at Washington Free Beacon point out, she missed the Constitution’s launch by only 173 years.

This is a woman with a degree in political science from Yale and a law degree from Virginia – both degree fields supposedly requiring significant study of American politics and American law, both of which are grounded in that Constitution. Was Sheila snoozing in class?

Oh, well. The un-constitutional law professor now leading us believes we have 57 states, so Sheila’s blooper is no big deal. He thinks we’re bigger; she thinks we’re older.

But Sheila, you see, is a serial offender. She once asked her tour guide at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena if the Mars Rover had been able to photograph the flag Neil Armstrong had planted. Sheila, that was the Moon Neil visited, not Mars.

Then there’s this demonstration of Lee’s grasp of geopolitics. Once again, standing on the House floor back in 2010:

I stand here asking us to do what we did not in do in Vietnam, was to recognize the valiant and outstanding service of our men and women, and to understand that victory had been achieved. Today, we have two Vietnams, side by side, North and South, exchanging and working. We may not agree with all that North Vietnam is doing, but they are living in peace. I would look for a better human rights record for North Vietnam, but they are living side by side.

Four decades after North Vietnam rolled over the South and created a single Vietnam, a senior member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee thinks the South still exists, or coexists, side by side with the North. Sheesh!

This woman is out-dumbed only by her fellow CBC member, Hank Johnson, who expressed his fear to an admiral testifying before a congressional committee about the consequences of moving several thousand Marines to Guam – to wit, that so many additional personnel might cause that island to “tip over and capsize.” I kid you not.

And these people are our duly elected leaders?

  • Obama’s Surgeon Corporal

You’d think that the Obama administration would, in a crucial election year, be a smidgen less confrontational when it comes to appointees requiring congressional approval. Immediately on the heels of a failed Justice Department nomination of another liberal radical minority candidate, the tone-deaf but determined apparatchiks surrounding our part-time president have forwarded another dubious appointee, this one to the surgeon general’s office. Out of the tens of thousands of wise and experienced American physicians available for consideration, do they offer up the Democratic equivalent of a Ben Carson – an accomplished, demonstrably erudite and constitutionally patriotic neurosurgeon? Well, no. It’s the political equivalent of a big fat middle finger to those who have dedicated decades of their lives to caring for America’s health.

The decision-making ideologues in this ideological administration have offered to the Congress for their approval a callow 36-year-old radical liberal, Dr. Vivek Hallegere Murthy, who can be guaranteed to carry out their ideological mission of politicizing medicine in ways the American people could never anticipate. Want your doctor visit to include a thorough quiz about the firearms you possess? Want to be required by federal law to have their serial numbers in your medical records?

This British-born whiz-kid nominee is no doubt a bright boy, as demonstrated by his academic fast track, but in the world of medicine, he is precisely that: a boy, über-bright, assuredly, but as yet not a fully tested member of the medical profession who has earned the respect of that large, gray, wise eminence that oversees the hands-on health management of this nation.

Make no mistake about it: this is not an administration nominating the best candidate to oversee the health concerns of this country. This is nothing more than a far-left administration attempting to secure just one more niche in the government power structure with the placement of a Kool-Aid-consuming true believer of their socialist agenda. Murthy is an outright opponent of 2nd Amendment rights, which is most likely what determined his selection by the administration. If that doesn’t wake you up to the reality that the Democrats are coming for your guns, then you are part of the problem.

We have seen the effect of electing a young, inexperienced president simply because it allowed the nation to achieve a first in world governance and history. That was an event that temporarily elevated America in the eyes of the world, until the obvious foolishness of such national impulse began to show. Had that young, inexperienced chief executive seized the moment and surrounded himself with citizens of true accomplishment and wisdom, this nation and this world might have found itself in a far different posture from what we have now.

This latest appointee, Dr. Vivek Hallegere Murthy, is but the most recent example of this administration’s deceitful intent and dismissive disdain for those its members govern. Dr. Murthy, like our president before election in 2008, has never managed anything. He’s like a community organizer in the medical community: politically active, medically questionable. Surely even some of the Democrat members of the Senate can see through the obvious and deliberate politics of this nomination and realize the total inadequacy of this nominee. If they can’t, their constituents can.

Young Murthy would be no surgeon general. At best, he’ll be a surgeon corporal.

  • International Impotence

As the much of world eagerly awaits the results of the face-off between a pinkly-pectoraled Putin and our metrosexual commander in chief in this mother of all Mexican standoffs, there is much to ponder. While Putin’s ongoing media campaign to present him to the world as a real man, physically strong and constantly engaged in activities that are associated with masculinity, virility, strength and courage may appear as laughable to American supporters of Barack Obama, the truth is, it’s working, in the rest of the world, in Spades.

We here in America tend to forget that much of that world which lies outside our borders lacks our richly well-earned and deeply ingrained sense of skepticism and cynicism that comes with the blessing of living in an open, democratic society. There are countless countries around the globe where, through oppressive governmental media manipulation, opinions and political sentiments within the public sector are formed in such a way as to support those in control and those leaders of other countries whose views on governance reflect their own.

What it all boils down to is that while effete, liberal America scoffs at Vladimir Putin’s Marlboro Man campaign to present himself around the globe as a virile, vigorous and above all else, strong, world leader, the rest of the world, minus the sneering liberals, is buying it wholesale. If such a survey were possible, it would be ever so interesting to see the results of a world-wide opinion analysis matching Putin against Obama. Mind you, this is just a suspicion from an old veteran of seven decades but I’m betting our metrosexual prezzie would not fare well around the globe against that shamelessly shirtless Soviet man of the world. I’d settle for just a survey of world national leaders. I suspect that Obama would lose that by astounding numbers as well. Go ahead, ask the world who’s flaccid in policy and performance.

Osama bin Ladin nailed it with his strong horse, weak horse description of geopolitics. He may have been wrong about many things but that assessment is a universal truth. Those leaders who exude strength, both political and of deep belief and character, attract followers and political support. Unfortunately for America at the moment, Vladimir Putin, a man with a demonstrable record of accomplishment as a KGB colonel, has done that exceedingly well on the world stage so that Russia is perceived as strongly and decisively led.

Contrast Putin’s record with that of our affirmative action president and you quickly see why the United States is operating from such a position of weakness in this current confrontation over the Ukraine, and particularly the Crimea. Too unfortunately for America, those photo-shopped pics of a broad-chested Putin riding a huge brown, Russian bear, juxtaposed with those of a sissy-imaged Obama on his bicycle are devastating to this country in the arena of world public opinion. The Russians elevated a former KGB colonel with some expectation of what he might turn out to be as a national leader.

An informationally deficient American electorate elected, and then re-elected, a man with no provable record of accomplishment anywhere in his past. That is proving out to be on the world stage what was easily predictable: our metrosexual president, a man of wide and demonstrable lack of accomplishment, isn’t capable of playing on the same field as that bare-chested Russian Bear. One has to wonder if sometime in the future the world might be witness to a vision of peace:

Two single tubs, side by side, overlooking a sun-setting eternity, with a pinkish, broad-shouldered silhouette in the one tub, holding hands with the jug-eared silhouette in the other.

  • Palin Predicts President’s Putz-Poor Policy

What with Russian forces seizing all major control points in the Crimean Peninsula today, numerous sources are pointing to the prediction of Sarah Palin back in the 2008 campaign that just such a scenario was possible under a weak president like Barack Obama. Here’s the way she called it:

“After the Russian Army invaded the nation of Georgia, Senator Obama’s reaction was one of indecision and moral equivalence, the kind of response that would only encourage Russia’s Putin to invade Ukraine next,”

Vice-presidential candidate Palin was at the time, in 2008, mocked and ridiculed for her political naiveté by gloating gurus of geopolitics for daring to advance the idea that a clueless Commander in Chief might not measure up to such a challenge. But here we are, six years down the road of all our lives, and just who is being proved to be savvier in world affairs, that confident, Moose-Shooting Mama from Alaska or America’s embarrassingly naked emperor who once grandly proclaimed he would command the seas? Not to take away from Sarah’s geopolitical awareness but anyone with any attentiveness to what goes on around this globe could have seen this coming just as Palin did; but, sadly and tragically, not the affirmative action product who now inhabits that so all important oval office whose grand educational process apparently left him ignorant of this:

Due to its northern latitudes, Russia has always been cursed with a lack of warm water ports that are naval operational year-round. The much more agreeable climate of the Crimean Peninsula at Russia’s southern extreme is what led to Lord Potemkin’s creation of the Black Sea Fleet in 1783, based in Sevastopol. Over the past centuries, Russia has made the Black Sea their backyard lake with a mighty naval presence that extends through the Bosporus into the Mediterranean. Additionally, the air arm of the Russian Navy has made the Crimean Peninsula a major base of operations. That fleet with its air resources has been a strategic player in much of the political events transpiring in the Med and beyond for decades.

So it should come as no surprise that Russia would not look favorably on losing the long term investment in infrastructure they have in the Crimea to a Ukranian government eagerly seeking political and economic alignment with the European Union. I hate to admit it but the Obama Administration is somewhat correct when it characterizes the Russian military takeover of strategic control points in the Crimea as an uncontested arrival. The reason for that is that the Crimea has always been a part of Ukraine that cleaved closely to the Russian mother country more so than the provinces to the north.

But please, help me here; the next time you hear some liberal twit diss Sarah Palin as too inexperienced to operate on the national stage, point out that she had the superior world view back in 2008 to foresee a foreign policy problem of which the unaware, intellectual lightweight now in our White House had no glimmer. Let’s face the truth here, folks: Vladimir Putin has the political strength and courage to decisively do what is right for his country at a critical moment in world history, while our metrosexual misfit dithers in indecision. Perhaps Osama Bin Laden had a more correct world view than we supposed when he compared his movement’s struggle to one between the strong horse and the weak horse.

What would you wager that done-dead Bin Laden would place his bet on the strong horse, Putin, and dismiss this lame and limping, politically-fueled, polished pony, Obama, who was too intellectually morally and spindly-legged to have been in this all important world race to start with?
