In spite of Obama’s paper thin resume of doing anything beyond street agitation one thing did stand out. In his short political life he has leaned heavily on voting “present” on any important or controversial issue (unless the legislation includes killing babies where he is 100% in).

Back in the first week of September Michael Barone predicted a very dire set of choices that the young president would be forced to make in September.

In fact, he identified the top three priorities. Let’s take a look at those hard choices and gage the president’s progress so far.

“Very active.” That’s what White House aides say Barack Obama is going to be this month. That’s probably an understatement. Obama faces September deadlines on three issues, on each of which he could get himself in political trouble, not only with those on the right and center but also those on the political left.

Only one of those issues is domestic: health care. Obama’s speech to a joint session of Congress, scheduled rather hastily for Wednesday night, gives him a chance to turn around public opinion, which has been going against his policies, and to generate something like the enthusiasm his candidacy created last year.

This is an absolute train wreck that will not only fail to improve healthcare, it will hurt it and make it more expensive. Reid and Pelosi deserve a great deal of blame on this one but Obama gave it to them and as yet has not produced anything in the shape of legislation from the Whitehouse.

If anything at all comes from all of this it will be catastrophically bad and will result in Republican campaign ads for years.

Obama may also face a binary choice on Afghanistan. Reading between the lines of stories on Gen. Stanley McChrystal’s recommendations, it seems likely that the White House has been pressuring him not to ask for more troops and that he will do so anyway, and with the approval of Defense Secretary Robert Gates.

Well, the 3:00a.m. call came and it went to voice mail while the president played golf and of course politics. He has refused Gen. McChrystal’s request which was based entirely upon a strategy released from the administration in March.

Obama’s silence is deafening given that American deaths are climbing while he is doing everything possible except his job as CinC.

This could likely become the greatest shame in a woefully disastrous one-term presidency.

The third issue on which Obama will need to choose is Iran. Earlier this year he set a deadline of September for the beginning of talks with Iran.

The Obama administration (where the hell is Hillary anyway) has adopted an approach to Iran that will guarantee only one of two possible outcomes.

Either Israel will attack Iran to destroy its nuclear facilities and thus spark a significant regional war that could collapse any hope of an economic recovery…or Iran gets the bomb and triggers an even bigger war.

There is a way to deal with Iran but kissing their asses is not it.

Barone was wrong. He didn’t choose anything in September except to vote “Present” again.

Anyone who is surprised by the epic failure that we are witnessing and in fact enduring is an idiot.

In Obama’s quest to fill every government job with leftist radicals, he has finally hit bottom. He is now planning to appoint a woman who loathes the military beyond anything we have seen lately.

President Barack Obama has nominated Georgetown University law professor, Chai R. Feldblum, to the Equal Employment Opportunity Council. Dr. Feldbaum, a lesbian activist attorney, has also been a staffer at the American Civil Liberties Union, the Human Rights Campaign, and clerked for Supreme Court Justice Harry Blackmun, author of Roe v. Wade.

Justice Blackmun, to remind everyone, was the character who from whole cloth made up new “rights” in the Constitution and determined that killing babies was way cool. Even Justice Ruth Bader-Ginsberg criticized Roe-V-Wade as bad law but then went on to say that it was cool because it essentially helped to cull out undesirables.

Unlike Mr. Obama’s recent Czar appointments, Dr. Feldblum must face Senate confirmation hearings prior to assuming her job as commissioner at EEOC. However, her past controversial statements and actions may very well catch up to her. As commissioner of the EEOC, Dr. Feldblum would be responsible for enforcing employment discrimination laws.

So Dr. Feldblum “would be responsible for enforcing employment discrimination laws.”

How exactly does that square with her past of aggressively trying to deny opportunities for employment in a career field that is at the top of every poll in America in terms of an honorable career?

Of course it doesn’t. She will do everything possible to fill the military’s ranks with LGBT people but she will fight tooth and nail to prevent a recruiter from stepping foot on the hallowed grounds of an Ivy League school.

This appointment like those of avowed communist Van Jones and pedophile supporting Kevin Jennings is not about poor vetting by the White House.

This is the true colors of an extreme left administration.

Elections have consequences and when you elect enough criminals, this is precisely how they will behave.

Faced with a promised vote to subpoena documents on Countrywide Financial’s “Friends of Angelo” program, Democrats on the House Oversight Committee fled a scheduled 2 p.m. markup today.

Rep. Darrell Issa of California, the Ranking Republican on the Oversight Committee, had promised to call for a vote at today’s markup on whether to subpoena documents involved in the program that gave sweetheart mortgages to at least four Democratic government officials, including two senators. According to the Wall Street Journal, the program might have also benefitted the chairman of House Oversight, Rep. Edolphus Towns, D-N.Y.

Even if it had been ruled out of Order, Issa’s motion would have received a vote.
The committee’s Democrats simply failed to appear. Republican staffers say they caught them on tape leaving by a back door at 2:35.

There are 24 Democrats on the committee that are overtly protecting criminal behavior and obstructing a member of Congress from demanding the documents that would obviously prove it.

The bottom line is that 24 members of Congress have conspired to thwart the investigation of a crime involving members of their own caucus. This action was taken solely to prevent a legal action by a Congressional committee to obtain evidence of a possible crime.

This ain’t just wrong, it’s frigging illegal!

Following TSO’s post below highlighting the musings of his favorite idiot journalist Dahr Jamail, I couldn’t resist this bit of drivel from my favorite jackass journalist, Seymour Hersh.

While many believe that Obama’s current waffling over Afghanistan is based on his inexperience, indecisiveness, piss poor selection of advisors or purely political posturing; we are apparently all wrong.

“A lot of people in the Pentagon would like to see him get into trouble,” he said. By leaking information that the commanding officer in Afghanistan, Gen. Stanley McChrystal, says the war would be lost without an additional 40,000 American troops, top brass have put Obama in a no-win situation, Hersh contended.

Just as soon as he blames the Pentagon for Obama’s lack of leadership he inadvertently pulls back the curtain and tells what is the real root of the problem…politics.

“If he gives them the extra troops they’re asking for, he loses politically,” Hersh said. “And if he doesn’t give them the troops, he also loses politically.”

The journalist criticized the president for “letting the military do that,” and suggested the only way out was for Obama to stand up to them.

“He’s either going to let the Pentagon run him or he has to run the Pentagon,” Hersh said. If he doesn’t, “this stuff is going to be the ruin of his presidency.”

Naturally Hersh solves Obama’s problem for him. It is a brilliant strategy as usual.

The only way for the U.S. to extricate itself from the conflict, Hersh said, is to negotiate with the Taliban.

“It’s the only way out,” he said. “I know that there’s a lot of discussion in the White House about this now. But Obama is going to have to take charge, and there’s no evidence he’s going to do that.”

Okay, for those of you keeping score, it’s the Pentagon’s fault that Obama’s rhetoric has written checks that he can’t politically cash. But why?

Because they are RAAAAAAACISTS!

“They think he’s weak and the wrong color. Yes, there’s racism in the Pentagon. We may not like to think that, but it’s true and we all know it.”

What a complete idiot.

In a surprise announcement from Norway this morning the Nobel Committee announced an unprecedented and likely never to be eclipsed third Nobel Peace Prize to former US President George W. Bush.

Bush won his first prize in 2002 on the eve of liberating 20 million people from tyranny. The prize was accepted by noted international appeaser and total buffoon Jimmy Carter.

In 2007 Bush was tapped once again for adopting General David Patraeus’ “Surge” strategy and vetoing Harry “The war is Lost” Reid’s cut and run legislation. Mr. Bush’s second award was collected by renowned snake oil salesman and international conman Al Gore.

Now just two years later Bush is again the winner.

There can be no doubt in any thinking person’s mind that all three of these awards were 100% enabled by George W. Bush.

Good job George.

He was nominated with only 11 days in office. Who was the cultist who nominated him and wouldn’t it be great to read the nomination packet?

WASHINGTON (AP) – President Barack Obama’s deputy national security adviser has called it quits.

The White House says Mark Lippert is leaving the administration to return to active duty in the U.S. Navy.

Obama said in a statement Thursday that he was not surprised when Lippert broke the news because he is “passionate about the Navy.” Obama says he admires and respects Lippert’s devotion to his country and that he’s answering the call to active duty service.

Lippert also had been chief of staff for the National Security Council. He served as Obama’s national security adviser during the presidential campaign.

Lippert has been little more than a Democrat political staffer turned hack for every day of his adult life. His mentors have included the Senate Democrat Policy Committee and uncontested national security expert Patrick Leahy.

In 2005 he became the Senior Foreign Policy Aide to then Senator Obama which probably helps to explain why Obama thinks that the mental midget Joe Biden is so smart. That same year he joined the Navy Reserve. He has a grand total of less than one year on active duty, no State or Defense Department experience and zero foreign postings.

If the Chief of Staff for the NSC does anything more than make copies, what was this rank amateur doing in the job in the first place?
