  • Nancy’s Choice: Corrupt Criminal or Bat Shit Crazy Lunatic

Nancy Pelosi (presiding over the most ethical Congress evah!) has a real problem on her hands and it is frankly quite entertaining to watch her spin in the mire of her own making.

Last week’s announcement by the House Ethics Committee that Charlie Rangel is in fact a lying, corrupt, douchebag ushered in calls for Rangel to step down as Chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee. These calls came mostly from Republicans but that is all changing now.

Politico is reporting that a growing number of Democrats are joining the chorus calling for Rangel’s head.

Republicans plan to bring to the floor this week a resolution calling for Rangel’s ouster as chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee, and Democratic aides say defections from vulnerable Democrats may give the GOP enough votes to prevail.

“It’s going to be very hard for us and others to vote against this,” said a senior aide to one vulnerable Democrats.

If all House members vote and all 178 Republicans vote to remove Rangel, the GOP would need 39 Democrats to turn against Rangel to win the vote.

Thirty nine is a not a big number in the current environment in Washington. Several Democrats have already come out publicly against Rangel and the number is only going to get bigger.

Already, Democratic Reps. Paul Hodes (N.H.), Bobby Bright (Ala.), Gene Taylor (Miss.), Mike Quigley (Ill.), Betty Sutton (Ohio), Harry Mitchell (Ariz.) have said publicly that they plan to join Republicans in voting to remove Rangel.

So, why doesn’t Pelosi just fire Rangel and move forward trying to socialize the government?

To answer this question is understand what is important to Democrats. Pelosi doesn’t care that Rangel is a demonstrated criminal but she does care that his activities are gaining momentum in the media. Chair of Ways and Means is a critical position for her to press her socialist agenda and though she obviously needs a close ally in that chair, she also wants someone toiling away destroying the American way of life with little or no media fanfare.

And therein lays the problem for Pelosi. You see the next in line for the Chairmanship if Rangel is jettisoned is one certifiably bat-shit crazy Fortney Pete Stark.

Here are just three small examples of this idiot in action.

    Congressman Pete Stark: crazed lunatic

    http://mypetjawa.mu.nu/archives/189814.php

Pelosi sees the danger of turning this unhinged moron loose with as many cameras as the Chair of Ways and Means always attracts, and it could derail the entire Democrat majority.

    Interesting times in deed.

  • And the “Michael Vick Award for Self-Inflicted Dumb-assery” goes to….

This is the kind of story that happens way too frequently. A young black man focuses his energy on athletics and manages to ride his talents out of an Atlanta slum. Beyond his athletic abilities his SAT scores were high enough to get into some fairly competitive schools. He just needed a scholarship.

The college that offered him a free ride wasn’t some Division III school that would have offered little in terms of a resume after graduation, it was in fact the most prestigious military school in the deep south which was prepared to provide him with a commission in the US Army upon graduation.

His good fortune gleamed even brighter the very first time he was allowed to showcase his athleticism in college.

Miguel Starks, The Citadel, QB, 6-2, 219, RFr., Atlanta, GA
In his first collegiate start, Starks was responsible for 327 yards and accounted for all five touchdowns in The Citadel’s 38-28 win over Furman. He connected on 14-of-19 passes with no interceptions for 183 yards and one touchdown, while adding 144 yards on the ground with touchdown runs of 11, 5, 17 and 23 yards. Starks’ four rushing touchdowns tied a school single-game scoring record, and he became the first Bulldogs quarterback since Jack Douglas in 1992 to rush for four scores in a single game.

That remarkable game in late October 2009 was also Parent’s Day at The Citadel. It would be difficult to imagine the pride his parents felt that day.

Certainly a better feeling than they experienced over the weekend.

CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP)—A quarterback for The Citadel has been charged with three others in connection with an armed robbery of a man at his home, Charleston police said Sunday.

Miguel Starks, 19, and former Citadel player linebacker Reginald Anthony Rice, 22, were charged Saturday with armed robbery, first-degree burglary, kidnapping and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime, Charleston police spokesman Charles Francis said in a news release.

Imagine that; from promising college football star with a commission on the horizon to orange jumpsuit facing four serious felonies each of which leads to hard time in South Carolina.

And for what? The robbery netted a wallet, electronic equipment and jewelry.

  • Kokesh Lands Key Lunatic Endorsement

Can’t say this comes as a complete surprise.

LAKE JACKSON, Texas–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Congressman Ron Paul today endorsed Adam Kokesh, Republican candidate for Congress in New Mexico’s third district.

Said Dr. Paul, “Adam Kokesh has been a tremendous supporter of mine. Now, it is time for me to support him.

“As a fellow Veteran, Adam understands the many challenges facing our brave men and women in Uniform and the steps we must take to strengthen our national defense.

“Adam Kokesh has dedicated his life to fighting for Liberty. He has set himself apart as one of the bold young leaders our Country sorely needs as we strive to restore our Freedoms and what has made America the greatest nation in history. I am very happy that Adam has decided to run for Congress and wholeheartedly endorse him.”

What I don’t understand is exactly how this steaming bag of cowardly, un-American shit is going to “strengthen our national defense”?

  • Of Ass Clowns and that Damn Karma Thing

Most of you are probably familiar with Rep. Alan Grayson (D-Orlando). This is the blowhard that is even more unhinged than Olberman who cannot resist any opportunity to demonstrate what a complete buffoon he is.

Grayson serves on the House Committee on Science and Technology and for reasons beyond anything I can imagine the committee felt compelled to tour Niger in Africa. It was probably not because Niger is so far ahead of the US in science or technology, was it?

Anyway during his stay a military coup kicked off. These things aren’t terribly uncommon in countries like Niger that are so scientifically and technologically advanced. And it was Thursday which is always a good day for a bloody overthrow of the government.

As the unrest was growing closer to the US embassy where the congressional delegation was staying an immediate evacuation of the fat, blathering class was essential.

Grayson was on a House Committee on Science and Technology tour last Thursday when a military coup closed the airport in Niger and then took over the government, violently entering buildings close to the U.S. Embassy compound where he was staying.

Grayson and others on his tour were evacuated from the embassy the next day aboard a helicopter owned by a subsidiary of Xe Services LLC. That company emerged from Blackwater USA after the controversial contractor reorganized following investigations into its international activities, including killing civilians in Iraq.

Rumor has it that the uncontrollable laughter caused by this idiot’s rescue is what sent the evil Dick Cheney to the hospital.

  • Did Baradar Just Experience a Good Old Fashioned Bush Rendition?

All the buzz today is about the joint CIA-Pakistan operation that netted Mullah Omar’s a very good event.

Even some character called mcjoan at Daily Kos highlights the significance of the Messiah’s mad war-making skilz.

This really could be a major turning point–having as important a prisoner as Baradar in custody and treating him according to the Geneva Conventions is critical to this administration showing the world that it has broken from the lawless Bush administration’s past. The success of capturing the most powerful Taliban leader ever caught in this war already sets this administration apart.

But maybe we didn’t get the whole story? Now before I write this I will say openly that I think that these goat porkers are a vile lot of liars, thieves and murderers so I am not convinced on the veracity of this story. Having said that, the Taliban is offering a slightly different take on the capture of Baradar. Naturally Roggio has the details. (This guy rocks, if you have a few extra coins, toss him a couple.)

Today Taliban commanders Abdul Qayum and Akhtar Mohammad confirmed that Baradar has been arrested, but denied he was captured in Karachi.

Baradar “was captured by foreign troops on Sunday, along with some of his bodyguards, during the operation in Marja,” Qayum told Bloomberg, referring to the ongoing operation to oust the Taliban from its stronghold in Helmand province.

Qayum may be none other than Mullah Abdul Qayum Zakir, the Taliban’s “surge commander” who is directing operations in southern Afghanistan, although this cannot be confirmed. Zakir was released by the US in December 2007 and sent to Afghanistan, where he was subsequently released by the Afghan government.

Zakir quickly rejoined the Taliban and took over operations in the strategic South.

Akhtar Mohammad also told Bloomberg that Baradar was captured by US forces during the operation in Helmand.

Captured by US forces in Helmand?

Is it possible that this particular POS was in fact captured in Helmand and then whisked away via Gryphon Air to Kurachi, Pakistan? Why would he be taken there?

Because of Pakistan’s amazing record on prisoner rights?

Or is it possible that this piece of scum is being water boarded with his balls in an electric vice as we speak?

Of course that would be impossible since Obama made such a huge issue of not being Bush. But then again, as Victor Hanson Davis wrote:

On the one hand, we had a two-year campaign (2007–08) of damning the Bush protocols, from renditions and military tribunals to Guantanamo and Predator strikes. Then, the Obama administration unleashed Eric Holder and John Brennan, who in highly partisan fashion attacked the anti-terrorism policies implemented from 2001–08 and reflected the themes voiced by Obama himself in his al-Arabiya interview and Cairo speech, many of which were reified by the Mirandizing of the Christmas Day bomber and the announced civilian trial of KSM in New York.

But all that said, Obama never shut down Guantanamo; has not tried KSM in New York; has kept the wiretaps, intercepts, renditions, and tribunals he once castigated; has escalated the war in Afghanistan; and has kept the status-of-forces agreements that Bush negotiated with the Iraqis — and Joe Biden now claims that Bush’s Iraq agreements were Obama’s greatest success!

    Interesting times indeed.

  • The Soon To Be Famous Indiana Circular Firing Squad of 2010 is Getting Even More Interesting

Evan Bayh’s sudden decision to not seek re-election has created a major crisis in the Indiana Democrat machine.

While it remains unclear if a complete political neophyte’s attempt to get on the ballot will be successful, the Democrat leadership is doing all it can to prevent it.

Restaurant owner Tamyra d’Ippolito (D) has enough signatures to make the ballot in the race to replace Sen. Evan Bayh (D-IN), she told Hotline OnCall in a brief interview, but an official in a key district says she has failed to reach the threshold.

An official in Marion Co. (IN) tells Hotline OnCall d’Ippolito turned in just 3 signatures in the 7th CD, the district with the highest percentage of Dem voters.

The noon deadline has passed, meaning d’Ippolito failed to meet the requirements to get on the ballot. She would have been required to submit 4,500 signatures, including at least 500 from each of the state’s 9 districts.

Reached at her home, d’Ippolito said she was on her way out the door to drop off more signatures at the county clerk’s office. “To my knowledge, yes we do.

There’s people putting in signatures as we speak,” d’Ippolito said when asked if she has the signatures necessary to qualify for the ballot. “The answer is yes.”

Seeing the gymnastics that the Indiana Democrats are going through to prevent this woman from landing on the ballot, one has to wonder; Why?

So, I decided to do a little research into her Democrat bona fides.

From her campaign website we learn:

Complete “make shit up” fabricated hyperbole: “…over one third of Indianans are below the poverty line…”

Hey, she’s a victim: She describes the Indiana Democrat leadership as “Sexist with a big S”.

So far, it sounds like a standard Democrat to me.

With no real political past, I decided to look into her business dealings.

She owns a trendy café in Bloomington called “Ragazzi Arte Café”

Doesn’t sound like you could find very good fried chicken or barbeque in the joint but I decided to check it out anyway.

I found some interesting reviews of her little café on trip advisor. Does this shine any light on whether or not she is a good Democrat?

“Service is terrible and very slow! We got our wine even after dinner! Food is very small and not genuine at all! And everyone seems like get an attitude, and greedy for tips.”

Sounds like a union shop to me. Check good Democrat.

My dinners at home are often those Weight Watcher’s frozen meals and, I swear, the spaghetti I get in them is better, at $1.87, than what I got in this restaurant. Avoid this place like the [–] plague. They don’t deserve your patronage.

Ten times the cost at ten percent of the value. Check good Democrat.

We just came back from Ragazzi. Considering together the atmosphere, location, so-so service, and okay food, our small dinner for two was just too bad for $82 we paid. Was that Italian food? Sorry, not quite sure…Very cheap half-done “Italian-style” bread, that was served with olive oil, salt, and pepper, was obviously bought in Kroger, put in microwave, and brought to our table heavily smelling w?th sour bread preservative.

Nicely packaged and expensive but total crap on the inside. Check good Democrat.

Main courses were unsatisfactory, absolutely nothing to remember. I swear, I can cook you the same meal in my small and unequipped kitchen. While the restaurant evaluates itself as a moderately priced eatery, I would say it is an unreasonably expensive place to eat.

Sounds like a poster style Democrat project to me.

While food is not as good as they charge for it, the restaurant is fully involved in community service, which was nice to know. Unfortunately, this fact will not change our minds not to come there again.

And on top of all that; Community Service!

    I’m thinking perfect Democrat.

  • Not Confirmed Yet but Too Good to Ignore

Rich Vail has it from an “impeccable source” that total collapse of the Democrat controlled congress in fully underway.

I’ve just heard from an impeccable source that Barbara Mikulski, the Democratic Senator who is up for reelection this November, will choose to retire. Mrs. Mikulski is expected to make her formal announcement in the next few days.

Mrs. Mikulski seriously fractured her right ankle last fall just prior to Edward M. Kennedy’s death. Due to the severity of the fracture, she had to have open reduction surgery, that included the insertion of pins, as well as the use of special surgical boots, during recovery. She had tried to arrive in time for Mr. Kennedy’s funeral but was turned away.

Her recovery has been exceptionally slow and she is evidently still in a great deal of pain. Reportedly, she has told her physician that she does not desire to seek reelection. Additionally, friends and family have been saying in the near future she will announce her retirement. Because of the very slow recovery, she has been forced to use a wheelchair, a walker or a cane in order to get around.

Don’t get me wrong; even if true it is more than likely that the idiots in Maryland will just elect another socialist; probably some dunce running on “change”.

Of course Michael Steele has the name recognition to give it a run. He would have to resign his position as head of the RNC. Hmmm, this idea is sounding better all the time.

  • Evan Bayh Jumps Ship

This could turn out to be a major turning point in this election cycle.

    American Spectator reports the news:

Another major blow to Democrats this morning, with the stunning news that Sen. Evan Bayh will retire and not seek reelection this year. A popular former governor in Indiana with a long family history in the state, he would have been the strongest possible candidate. This is further indication that moderate Democrats running in red states are eager to jump ship in what they expect to be a rough November.

This is huge news because Bayh apparently knows something that most of us don’t. In the latest polls since Republican former senator Dan Coats announced his candidacy Bayh was up by 20 points!

I do believe that this will be a very bad year for Democrats but 20 points!?

And it gets worse for Harry Reid and the rest of the socialists.

The timing of this is extremely bad for the Democrats. Indiana election law is fairly clear about the timing for a candidate to file for a primary.

Sec. 4. (a) A declaration of candidacy for a primary election must be filed not later than noon seventy-four (74) days and not earlier than one hundred four (104) days before the primary election. The declaration must be subscribed and sworn to before a person authorized to administer oaths.

That 74th day is Friday. And the person needs to produce 4500 signatures as well.
