Angel Flight by Radney Foster

Toothless Dawg sent me this video last night – it looks several months old, but it’s new to me.

Goosebumps all the way, tears…Darius Rucker is a really nice guy. I met him at the Raleigh Country Club when he played a round of golf before a concert.

Rhapsody says the song came out about a year ago…It’s really OFS. Period.

The image of the C-130 flying straight at you when it pops flares at 6:47 looks just like an Angel…

    Blurry monitor warning in effect…

  4. Thank you for posting this. This is so very beautiful.

Damn allergies. I escorted several “hero” flights in Baghdad. Always a solemn duty.

  6. Powerful. Bittersweet, too.

    Thanks for posting this.

They play it on the radio here in San Antonio a good bit. I almost wrecked my truck the first time I heard it. Had to pull over for a minute and collect myself.

If you can are a fan of country music or can listen to it without keeling over dead, then check out the guys at Iraq Unplugged. Range from songs that will choke you up to funny as hell.

A fine and fitting song for our fine heros. Those of us
who did not have to give our all, but were trained to do so,give a solemn final salute. Thank you for your service and more.
