Wilted Willy’s Surgery Tomorrow

Our Bro WW is having some extensive surgery tomorrow morning, hopefully to relieve his plumbing issues and improve his quality of life. I’ll not be more specific out of respect for his privacy.

So however you roll, say a prayer, send good karma, light a candle, burn some incense, raise a glass, or just wish him the best possible outcome tomorrow, and keep him in your thoughts.

I’ll see if he’s up to talking about it, post-op, and write it up. Again, respecting his privacy.

All the best, Willy, and your surgical team as well.

  1. Wilted Willy, We are here for you Brother! May your Doctor have steady hands, your feelz good meds be top shelf, and your nurses be of Nurse Dish appearance. Keep us posted.

  2. Prayers out for ya, WW! (Maybe we should burn some incense as well, just to over all the bases. And do a happy dance, then hug a tree.)

  3. Let the pros do their good work Willy.
Sometimes you have to trust somebody else
but as a veteran you already know that.
    Best wishes.

  4. Thanks for all the well wishes! I really appreciate all of my good friends here at TAH!
I won’t have my laptop at the hospital, so I will call Ed and let him know how it all turned out?
    Take care,
    Willy

  5. My best wishes & prayers for you and your family are being sent out to you, Willie.

As for the nurses, a quick grope and you can blame it on the meds. 😉

Get better soon….we need you here.

  6. Wilted Willie,
May God, the Great Physician and God of all Comfort, work in you, on you, and through the medical staff to bring healing to your body and peace to your mind, may He bring you through this with rejoicing and a mindfulness of His grace in your life.

AW1ed – thanks for keeping us posted on the status of our brother.

  7. Raise the anchor, batten down the hatches, and may good winds be at your back as you safely navigate these treacherous waters, Wilted Willy. You have your heading and I pray that you can make it safely to the other side. Steady as she goes!

  8. You’ve got this, Willie. When I was dealing with the cancer, it was comforting to know that my buds here at TAH were were supporting me with thoughts, prayers and best wishes. Just keep in mind that all that mental and spiritual support is now headed your direction.

Keep us posted on your progress when you’re up to it.

  9. Wilted Willy is lying in bed in the hospital, wearing an oxygen mask over
his mouth and nose, still heavily sedated from a difficult four hour,
surgical procedure. A young student nurse appears to give him a partial
    sponge bath.

“Nurse”, he mumbles, from behind the mask. “Are my testicles black?”

Embarrassed, the young nurse replies “I don’t know, Sir. I’m only here to
wash your upper body and feet.”

He struggles to ask again, “Nurse, are my testicles black?”

Concerned that he may elevate his vitals from worry about his testicles,
she overcomes her embarrassment and sheepishly pulls back the covers. She
raises his gown, holds his penis in one hand and his testicles in the
other, lifting and moving them around.

Then, she takes a close look and says, “There’s nothing wrong with them,
    Sir !!”

The man pulls off his oxygen mask, smiles at her and says very slowly,

“Thank you very much. That was wonderful, but listen very, very
    closely……

Be well Willie and come back quick like, ya hear??

    1. Can’t take you ANYWHERE, Chip.*grin*

WW will be in comms with me in a day or two post op, as soon as he gets some strength back. Hope to report the good news then.

  10. All the best, Willy! May God guide the hands of the surgeons and bring you out healthy.

  11. Since that means surgery is today February 5th may he have the best possible outcome and know he is in our thoughts and our hearts today.

Get well soon WW…we miss ya brother!

  12. May God be with you, guide your caregivers, and give you a complete recovery! Sorry for the lag time. I hope you’re doing well.
