Jim “Peewee” Martin Takes One More Jump Into Normandy

WWII 101st Airborne paratrooper Jim “Peewee” Martin makes a repeat jump into Normandy at the tender age of 93.  You can either sit on it and wither away to nothing, or you can be like Peewee here.  It ain’t over ’til he says it’s over. Granted, it was done in 2014 on the 70th anniversary of D-Day, but when he goes, he’s going his way.

Airborne all the way, Jim!!

An interview with Jim “Peewee” Martin of the 101st Airborne Division.  Plenty of good footage of the events taking place  during Operation Market Garden.

  1. It must be difficult it his age…ya know, walking around with those giant brass balls!

  2. Wait, you lost me. Operation Market Garden was actually an allied defeat well after the Normandy landings during Overlord. It was depicted in the movie A Bridge Too Far.

    1. Operation Overlord was the invasion of Normandy in June. Operation Market Garden took place in September. The 82nd and 101st were still there, still shooting back.

Watch the second video. Some of the footage is from the German bombing of the Netherlands during Operation Market Garden.

    2. Anybody that knows about Market Garden knows what a clusterfuck it was.
I think it is probably a mistake, after all it’s written by a girl…..
      ****(Runs like hell)!!!!!!!
