Neenahjah Rae-Kwon Purvis; deserter arrested for murder in Georgia

Neenahjah Rae-Kwon Purvis of Stone Mountain, Georgia shot and killed Maliki Jawuan Holt during a home invasion last week. DeKalb County Sheriff Deputies arrested him the other day for the murder when they discovered that he is also a deserter from the US Navy according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution.

Purvis, 22, was armed when he entered a motel room in the 4800 block of Memorial Drive, according to arrest warrants. He and Holt shot at each other and Holt was fatally wounded, Williams said.

Though Purvis faces felony murder and first-degree home invasion charges in DeKalb, he will also be held for extradition to federal authorities on the military desertion charge.

Picking up deserters on military warrants can save lives.

      1. Preferably a ship whose hull hasn’t been out of the water in a while.

  1. Claw, what’s the score on that name? Gotta be north of 50 without the military deserter and murderer multipliers.

    1. KAK Wheel says Neenahjah Rae-Kwon Purvis – Basic score of 53 without any multipliers.

      1. I’m going to say it like it is.
These poor kids have these dumb made-up names.
Yeah, for God’s sake I wouldn’t name any white kid Cleetus, Cephus, Chester, Lamar, Roscoe, etc. Maybe back when they weren’t associated with Appalachian incest but not in modern times.
So I’m in court on Friday. A miscreant stole my daughter’s skateboard and hit her on the head with it knocking her to the ground, breaking her glasses and she lost consciousness for a few seconds.
No, he’s not in a 55 gallon drum buried on my property. Kid was in Juvenile Hall after arrested then on house arrest with ankle bracelet. Then he steals his aunts car.
Anyway, I’m in court with my daughter so she can give a victim’s impact statement at sentencing.
The kid’s name? “Xavier Muziq XXXXXX.”
The self-fulfilling prophecy living up to the lowest expectations.
Daughter says she wants money for her glasses, forgives the loser and wants them to have family counseling.
Dad says… “I don’t need no family counseling. It’s not fair to my other 8 kids. It’s stressin us out!!!”
Deputy DA leans over and says, “Yeah, dad has a long list of felony assaults too.”
Dad gets pissed because they also took Muziq’s DNA. Because in CA, if you commit a felony, you give up some DNA for your future trips to the court.
So the court orders family counseling, 5 days of work project (not happy about that unless it was 5 days in North Korea labor camp), 6 months time served (hopefully Big Tiny, Cleetus and Bubba worked him up real nice) restitution to the court, $180 for my daughter’s glasses and 2 restraining orders and the DB cannot ever go to any of the parks my daughter goes to.
He’s also not allowed to be in any car where the steering column is busted or possess a screwdriver in or near a car.
Bailiff’s, Deputy Sheriff’s, the Deputy DA and several court officers gave my daughter hugs and the Judge commended her.
That really pissed off Father Of The Year and the rotten fruit that didn’t fall far from the tree.

        1. Please allow me to complement you on the raising of your daughter, and the outstanding young lady she seems to be becoming.

Give her our complements and admiration, please.

  2. Shit stain.

How on this earth do parents come up with these names???? If they intended for them to stand out, in most cases, like this one, it worked.

    1. I’ll bet there was no two parent nuclear family involved here. Everyone knows that two parent families are racist.

    2. I’m gonna go out on a limb and say PARENT(singular) came up with that one…..probably at a very young age.

    3. It is a celebration of their African roots, heritage, values and contribution to society here in the US.

      Dah …

        1. Lol….. Actual Africans find these ‘Faux-African’names very amusing.
Imagine if Irish-Americans did the same??? Daegchllghn? McLovin?

    4. Why on earth would any parent saddle a child with a ridiculous name like that? It’s impossible to pronounce, difficult to spell, has little if any real meaning, and – like as not – was totally made up.

It reminds me of the question asked on Quora – “What if I name my child Peekaboo?”

Giving a child a ridiculous name is tantamount to child abuse, considering the crap the kid is going to have to put up with for his entire life because some adult wanted to be funny.

I know. My real name is not of the “usual” variety.

      1. Shoot, anyone with an unusual last name knows what the kids in school do in response.

My last name was the source of all sorts of hilarity in elementary and middle school.

  3. TAS needs to have a deserter section. Get help identifying and catching those that deserted.

  4. Can you give us a quote Neenahjah Rae-Kwon Purvis?

    Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeit…ah dindu nuffin

    1. The mind is a terrible thing …

Remember that SNL skit? Eddie Murphy when he was funny.

These dudes be dumb, dumb, dumb.

        1. In it’s heyday that show was the funniest crap on TV. I remember staying up late on Saturday Night to watch it and seeing the original Blues Brothers sketch do Soul Man. Audience was laughing thinking it was a joke then they started in and the laughter stopped. Excellent stuff

      1. Stolen valor in Mr Robinson’s neighborhood

Walk into a Posers room and say “poser bitch”. I’ll wait.

Did he shit himself? Good! You said it right.

  5. They should also add felony abuse of the English language. For the mother that saddled him with that horrendous name, that is.

  6. When I was on Shore Duty at a particular East Coast Helo RAG at NAS JAX…one of the guys in our Corrosion Control shop decided he didn’t like Jody banging his estranged wife…so he ventilated him.

Somehow, Duval County decided to allow the Navy to prosecute the case, and dude is cooling his heels in Leavenworth, for at least the past 23 years. It might have been that Jody was another Sailor.

Do you think local authorities do that often? Allow UCMJ to mete out Justice (and save the county some money)?

        1. SAR School Day 1, 0800.
Instructor, “I’m gonn’a PT your asses until someone pukes!”

This goal was achieved. Good times.

    1. Atkron,
In my experience local constables are mostly happy to let the military authorities handle issues where only military personnel are involved. Bets are off if a civilian is in the mix, though. Could go either way then.

  7. Looking in my Ol Doggy Crystal Ball I see him getting a Manslaughter Charge at most since there was an exchange of gunfire.
Shit with a good defense attorney he could even walk on self defense.
Gun Fire in a hotel room sounds more like a drug deal gone bad. Hopefully they have other charges.
More than likely the Navy will give him a General Discharge AdSep, Other than Honorable.

  8. “Neenahjah Rae-Kwon” translated into the King’s English is “Lucretius”. Maybe he can catch up on his missed NOL (Navy On Line) requirements while in prison

    CAPT Bones USN (ret)

    1. By his latest action he should at least be awarded the Navy Expert Pistol Markmanship medal…

  9. I’ll be surprised if he doesn’t claim he caught the PTSD, identifies as a tranny and gets awarded back pay

  10. I think its funny how people can judge off someone’s name and race and automatically think they have all the sense not saying excuse his crime but gd give em a break white people just afraid to get out the box most yahll probably got two 1st names
