Imad al Alami and his negligent discharge

AW1Ed sends a link from Fox News which tells the story of the sad end of Hamas co-founder Imad al Alami who was inspecting his handgun a few weeks ago when it discharged into his terrorist head;

Imad al-Alami, 62, was “examining his personal weapon in his home” Jan. 9 when the gun went off and a bullet struck him in the face, Hamas said.

He had been hospitalized in Gaza until his death, according to the Jerusalem Post.

Hamas initially announced al-Alami died of natural causes, dispelling rumors he’d committed suicide or was murdered. However, the group later admitted an accident had actually caused al-Alami’s death.

Yeah, history is replete with accidental deaths – Ceasar accidentally stabbed himself twenty times, Gaddafi accidentally stabbed himself in the ass, Saddam Hussein accidentally tripped and fell into a noose. Now, poor terrorist, Imad al-Alami, accidentally shot himself in the head.

There are no “accidents” with firearms, someone has to consciously pull the trigger.

      1. Goddamn it API,
Mountain Dew through the nose BURNS LIKE HELL!!

        😀 😀 😀 😭 😭 😭

    1. “He could tell his ass from a hole in the ground, but his head from a clearing barrel, that one was a little harder…”

  1. I’m going to take a guess and assume that Imad never took a gun safety class?

    STUPID. DEAD. FUCK.

  2. Technically, it is natural causes. When a bullet enters the head and destroys the brain, it’s only natural that the person should die. /sarc

    1. Yep. They’re all disassembling and inspecting their weapons to see if the Zion trigger group has somehow been installed. Oh, it’s real.

    2. Maybe there will be a Hamas wide mandatory power-point on handgun cleaning and safe handling practices. Probably will take four weeks of training when one considers the IQ’s of these inbred goat humpers.

  3. After I read the headline I figured he had a dose of the clap and had spread it to the local goats.

  4. “Let’s say he died of a heart attack or pneumonia!”

“Can’t. Too many saw the hole in his head.”

    “Um. Ah. Assassination?”

“Never! It would not have been Allah’s will that an infidel should reach him here.”

    “Accident?”

    “Brilliant!”

          1. “This video contains footage some viewers may find upsetting amusing.”
            /fixed that for you.

  5. So, I guess he didn’t attend the class where you’re told to keep your booger hook off the bang switch?

Poor fellow. Was he turned down for the IED explosive life finale class? I can understand his angst, if that’s the case.

Let us all follow-up with an appropriate “him”.

    1. Funny how it works, but somehow once you get to “management” level of a terrorist organization, you are “over-qualified” for the suicide bomber position.

    2. Ex-PH2, wouldn’t say, “Fah-kheem” be more culturally appropriate even though I prefer “DARWIN AKHBAR!”?

  6. About “Accidental” Deaths and/or “Suicide (aka self-murder).

When I was stationed in the PI at Clark AB mid-70’s there was a bus crash on the road to a mountain city called Baguio (sp). The bus had 60 people in it who were trying to get to Baguio to sale things at a Convention happening there.

The original bus driver (and owner) told them that they had to find other transportation because his bus was unsafe because of mechanical troubles to include the brakes. A little while later his cousin took the bus, supposedly unknown to owner, and started up to Baguio. On a very tight hairpin turn the bus crapped out, the brakes failed and the bus crashed down about a 100 foot embankment. The 30 people in the back of the bus “cushioned” the people in the front of the bus. 30 people dead and all of the rest beat up bad, driver in his seat belt in his seat was not hurt that bad.

They scramble the “Jollys” and we were on scene about 2 hours after the crashed. There was still a lot to do saving the victims and getting the bodies recovered; work about 6 hours. I actually have slides of the body recovery portion of this crash.

So back to “Accidental” Deaths and/or “Suicide (aka self-murder):

About 4 to 6 weeks later my housemaid brought me a newspaper that had an article about the bus crasher/driver; it seemed that he committed “Suicide” or at least that is how it was reported. One of the worst cases of “suicide” I had ever read about. He stabbed, slashed or cut himself at least 30 times with a Bolo knife (Philippine machete). And the Philippine Official quoted agreed with me about it being the “Worst case of suicide that he had ever witnessed.”

So, yes “Suicide” can be very bad. Almost like crashing a plane.

    1. Like Carrasco’s death was ruled ‘suicide’ by the JP. His rational: “When a Texas Ranger tells you to drop your weapon and you don’t, that is suicide.”

And that is the official cause of death still listed on his death certificate.

      1. In Tombstone AZ. a man was pulled from the jail by a mob and hanged. The Coroners verdict was ” Death by misadventure. Strangulation, self inflicted or otherwise”.

        1. Tombstone had some twisted humor going back in the day. One epitaph on Boothill:

          “Here lies Lester Moore
          Four slugs from a .44
          No Les No more …”

  7. I plan to dine out tonight, a good steak, etc.

Since their custom is to pass out sweets in celebration, I shall put out goodies at work tomorrow.

Maybe each year, we should hold a celebratory bar-b-que. The “honoree” is currently quite familiar with the eternal rotisserie roast process.

  8. Claw:

What does Imad al-Alami score on the Official TAH Name Scrabble (Home Version) Whiz Wheel with his self-inflicted gunshot wound multiplier?

      1. Generic automatic pistol: 350 US Dollars

One round of unknown caliber:10 cents

Showing future Hamas suicide attackers how to do the job right by leading from the front: Priceless

      2. Corrected/Amended Scoring: Now – 132

Since Imad al-Alami is one of those Dipshit Rag Heads we’ve been fighting for the past 17 years and pulled a BLDAM* on himself, he now falls into a new special multiplier category for TAH Name Scrabble (Home Version)®™.

That multiplier will be six (6) and is reserved for the above scenario and for other stateside suspects/perps who pull a BLDAM*/DRT on themselves, but were revived by EMTs only to become DOT (Dead Over There) at a later time.

  9. Honestly, I don’t know which version is funnier, the Ides of March or the negligent discharge?

  10. If he’d been wearing a PT belt this wouldn’t have happened. Everyone knows PT belts prevent ND’s.

  11. Gee. Another senseless death that could have been prevented had HAMAS passed stricter gun control laws. Ma Salama bitch.

  12. Let us hope he gave firearms safety training to many of his fellow ‘Slamo/Palinazi buddies.

  13. Wasn’t there another Hamas founder that also died from an the same defective pistol about two years ago? I kind of remember hearing this before (might just be old age).

  14. …After the 2014 Israel-Hamas war, al-Alami traveled to Turkey for treatment for an injury in which he lost a leg. Hamas said he was wounded in the war.

I wonder if he accidentally shot himself in the leg as well.

  15. Here lies, with a hole in his head,
The remains of Imad al Alami,
    most thoroughly dead.

Whilst cleaning his weapon, he thought he’d have fun
    and peered down the barrel
    of this magnificent gun.

    “Suicide!” said others; “Assassination!” cried some;
    But negligent discharges occur
When you’re not safe with your gun.

The lesson today is plain to be seen:
    Clear your weapon
    AFTER removing the magazine!

    BURMA SHAVE

    1. Very good!

I especially love the “BURMA SHAVE” addendum. It brings back fond memories of driving down Texas road with my father.

    2. Imad al Alami
      Had less brains
      Than a salami
      He thought it
      Would be fun
      To look gown his gun
      The gun went *BOOM*
      right there in the room
A big hole in his head
      Now he is dead

      BURMA SHAVE

  16. Have the police questioned the long time target of his sexual abuse, his beloved sheep, Ali baaa baaa

  17. “Fuck firearms safety! Inshallah this handgun will be unloaded an”……BLAM!!!!

    Oh darn

    1. Well, lets see:

      *RULE 1
      ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

      RULE 2
NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY

      RULE 3
KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER TIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET

      RULE 4
      BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET

3 out of 4 Rules violated, resulting in a grievous wound and lingering death. And I’m good with that. For the record, I’ve never had a negligent discharge. And I never will again, either.

*Sorry for the CAPS, pressed for time.

  18. So since he offed himself without taking anyone else, does that mean he only gets 7.2 virgins in the afterlife?

    1. Nope….suicide or death by extreme dumbassery will only net him 72 aged, syphilitic, incontinent former crackwhores

  19. Mossad would like to extend their sincere condolences for the accidental death of his successor.

  20. “Never ever let your gun, pointed be at anyone”
I guess “anyone” here means someone you don’t intend to kill.
I don’t know if he qualifies for his virgins.
    Raghead training pamphlet.
Always keep your personal weapon clean.
Before cleaning, remember to clear your weapon.
The best way to do this is to point it at your head and squeeze the trigger.
If you can’t identify your head than point your weapon at a fellow raghead and squeeze the trigger 3 times or more until you hear a click.
After cleaning check your ammunition is functional and correctly loaded. You can do this by pointing the muzzle of the loaded weapon at your or a raghead’s ear, and affirming that you can hear a bang when you squeeze the trigger.

  21. Another negligent discharge causing death
    Was it a Glock?
I am always amazed that people buy guns that require a trigger pull to field strip
You can tell me about “ the safety is between your ears”, but there are plenty of striker fired guns that do not require trigger pull to take apart
That is a design flaw that Glock could easily fix

    1. I havta ask: how many documented examples of a negligent discharge while stripping a Glock do you know of? I understand you philosophical point, but I wonder if there have been many real-world examples.

  22. As for “accidental” discharge vs. negligent discharge, how many here have heard stories of someone killing themselves with a pistol that REALLY IS unloaded?

For that matter, what about that DEA lamsak (you know, the one who later sued YouTube) who literally shot himself in the foot after proclaiming he was the only one in the room qualified to bear a side-arm?

I seem to recall an entire video that was a mash-up of various police negligent discharges. You know, the people who were in theory trained to handle firearms?
