Happy Birthday TAH!

Birthday

Eleven years young, Congrats! Jonn, modest as ever, tried to low-key the fact in the WOT, but fortunately I have no such scruples. So happy birthday to TAH and may there be many more years of it’s good works.
*Ahem* In order so help celebrate, may I direct your attention to the Donate button in the upper right of the page. Jonn won’t ask, and this place won’t run itself.
Thanks to Jonn and the usual suspects who run the joint, and to you, fellow ladies and gents of TAH, for making this place happen.

  1. Woohoo! This website was a lighthouse to me when I found it in 2012.

Oddly enough – I was trying to look up (Google) an old classmate and fellow Veteran – Brian Culp. What I found was shocking and introduced me to the world of stolen valor which I was obliviously to prior to that day.

I’ve loved everything inbetween in this website for almost 5 years now.

Thanks Jonn! And all you other contributors and writers of the blog.

    1. I found this in 2012 too, I was in Afghanistan when I heard about “SSG Cambodia” the guy claiming to have been in Cambodia who S&S did a story about and then retracted it. (Larry Marquez who also claimed to be a “Nuclear Specialist” as a civilian job.)

I think I even started posting from there in the beginning.

      1. He was such a “specialist” they shut down San Onofre as a result.

Hey, you better take the bad with the good.

  2. Happy Anniversary Jonn.

Said it before, say it again: RN’s loss is the world’s gain.

  3. Happy Anniversary Jonn and Happy Birthday to TAH!!!

Thank you Jonn for all of the hard work and long hours you have put into keeping the great website on the air five by five for 11 years!

All the best to you Jonn!

  4. A HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO TAH, and may there be many more!!! I stumbled across TAH when I was googling around on Stolen Valor and behold!!

  5. Happy Birthday to Jonn and each and everyone of you that make this site top notch. I’m still just a lurker but a very frequent lurker.

  6. Happy Birthday/Anniversary to all the friends here on TAH.
I check this blog at least twice a day and usually several times each day.
It’s the best Milblog on the planet.
Thanks to all of you that put this together and I’ll be hitting the donate button in the near future.
This is truly a work of art and a labor of love for Jonn and the rest of the crew.

  7. I would hope I’ve helped your staying power with my controversial contributions. Congratulations on another milestone.

  8. Happy Birthday/Anniversary/Whatever it’s called, Jonn! TAH is a bright spot in my day and I’m happy to be be here, and thankful to you for making it happen.

  9. Happy birthday to TAH and its community you built, Jonn. I came here from Blackfive quite a while ago now. Despite my frequent disagreements with most of the people here on political issues, I’ve learned a lot from engaging with people here, and greatly appreciate it.

  10. Happy Birthday to Jonn and the rest of the stalwart crew here on Team TAH!

    KA-BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!

    Semper Fidelis.

  11. Thanks for doing what you do. I’m always glad to read and be a visitor here. Fantastic stuff, keep it up.

    Happy Birthday Bilbo!

  12. Thank you, Jonn, for giving us a place to congregate, bitch, moan, badmouth posers and generally have a pretty good time. I’ve been coming here maybe 4 years. Ditto, also, on the need for cash money to keep the place up and running. It’s been a few months so maybe it’s time for another $50.

    Blessings, Jonn.

  13. Jonn,

I would bake you a birthday cake in my Easy Bake Oven, but because if Al Gore, I can buy a 100 watt incandescent light bulb anywhere in NYS.

    Sorry,

    MCPO

    1. Don’t forget about Nanny Bloomberg, I’m sure he had something to do with criminalizing light bulbs.

      1. Wasn’t Nanny Bloomberg the one who wanted to criminalize extra-large fountain drinks as well?

        1. He also spent 27 million dollars on anti-gun initiative shortly after leaving NYC Mayorial office.

The effort failed in whole, attracting no return on his investment.

However, legal people bought more legal guns than ever and the gun manufacturers across our great nation had record profits.

Funny how that works … every time one mentions gun control, sales spike.

I betcha Bloomberg and Obama own spine cold blue steel stick.

          Just sayin’.

        2. Some cities want to run “safe houses” so that junkies shooting heroin can have someone bring them back when they inevitably overdose. I am waiting on them to set up safe houses so that people can safely ingest liquids infused with high fructose corn syrup. Hack will not be holding his breath.

  14. I also came over from Blackfive, which I discovered in 2006.

Congrats Jonn, may the good Lord grant you peace and healing to see many more such days.

  15. Greetings John
I came over here from Blackfive as well and get a lot of enjoyment out of the comments especially! Lots of interesting stories on here and interesting characters as well. Happy anniversary and heres to many more.
    Best regards and Semper Fi

  16. I lurked in TAH for years and when I retired in 2011, I came “out of the closet” so to speak.

I generally don’t like people, so this place is perfect. I get to hang out with a bunch of miscreant old (some young) Vets, with strong Patriotic values and good humor that lasts all day and into the night.

With that, have a nice day you old farts!
