Looks like he’s pretending to be apart of the 160th SOAR. He could have at least joined the Army if he wanted to be in the 101st, but then he might have actually went to Vietnam.

Jumpin Jehasarats, I wonder if it’s the same Air force guy that came aboard the OKIE 3 while we were off shore of Santo Domingo in 1965. If I remember, I think the bird was a Huey but was a long time ago. It was on the hanger bay and an Air Force guy was standing there wearing an Australian bush hat and had an M-1 Carbine with one mag taped to another under the well. That I remember well. There was also an M-60 jury rigged to the right side of the wheel strut. He told me that the pilot had to raise or lower the craft to aim the gun.

In 1988, my family built a house three down from from the Boze’s. When I first met him,, I asked if he was military. He said he was a USAF pilot. I asked what he flew and where. Said F-4’s and 388thTFW. I replied “Korat”, and I probably controlled your pre and post strike tanker hookups from “BRIGHAM” at Udorn. (I was a 1744 weapons controller). He clamed up and never discussed it with me again. He married after th USAF and his family never new the truth until you guy unmasked him. Never believed him but how he bragged to others!!
No surprise in any of that.
