Sergeant First Class Robert R. Boniface passes

The Department of Defense has announced the non-combat-related death of Sergeant First Class Robert R. Boniface, in Logar Province, Afghanistan on March 19th.

The 34-year-old native of San Luis Obispo, California was assigned to 1st Battalion, 7th Special Forces Group, Eglin Air Force Base, Florida and supporting Operation Freedom’s Sentinel (the name change from OEF since January 1, 2015).

  2. Our hometown boy. He will be missed greatly. I served my reserve time with his father.

  3. Spent 2 years in Logar Province. Definitely a bad neighborhood. Rest in Peace Sgt Boniface.
