Mick sends us a link to the Chicago Sun Times which reports that some gangs had a meeting last week to plot an assault on some police departments in the city in retaliation for the shooting death by police of 18-year-old Paul O’Neal who was in the process of stealing a Jaguar and leading police on a high-speed chase when he was killed. Apparently the body cam of the offending officer wasn’t on at the time.
The meeting took place Thursday between higher-ups from the Vice Lords, Black Disciples and Four Corner Hustlers, according to an alert issued to department members the day after the meeting.
The Four Corner Hustlers “provided guns” and have “a sniper in place” though authorities do not know where, according to the alert. The Four Corner Hustlers also are supplying the other two gangs with automatic weapons, which all three factions also have agreed to use against police, the alert states.
Meanwhile, in the hours immediately following the meeting to plot the murder of police, four more people were murdered and 17 wounded in the city…not by police, but by criminals;
Four people were killed, including a 16-year-old boy, and at least 17 other people were wounded in shootings across Chicago between Friday morning and early Saturday, police said.

About 4:25 a.m. Saturday, a 29-year-old man was shot multiple times in the head and pronounced dead in the 11600 block of South Torrence Avenue in South Deering. The shooting may have been the result of a home invasion, and investigators are considering it domestic-related, police said. Police initially said he was 25. The medical examiner’s office identified the man as Luis Marin, of the 3000 block of East 96th Street in Chicago.
Sometime after 3:10 a.m., a 32-year-old man was killed and another man was wounded in a shooting near the only still-occupied rowhouses of the former Cabrini-Green housing development. Police in the area heard gunfire and responded to the 800 block of North Cambridge Avenue to find a 32-year-old man with gunshot wounds to the head and chest.
It seems to me that the gangs would be concerned about all Black lives instead of only those criminals who are shot in the acts of criminality by the police.

Most of the head shots likely resulted from the distance between shooter and shootee being about 5 to 10 feet, with the probability of a successful head shot dropping with each foot beyond 5 feet.

A cop friend of mine took a .38 off a punk and was surprised to find that the nitwit had loaded it with .32 ammo wrapped in black electrical tape so it fit. It might have fired once but I’m sure that under recoil the remaining shells would have moved out of the way of the firing pin. He probably saved the stupid fucks life.
Probably not… .32 is pretty low pressure and when you fire an undersized round in a revolver cylinder, when the cartridge case splits the pressure vents at a much lower level than when actually firing the gun. I once mistakenly loaded a .44 Mag into a .45 Colt Blackhawk – cartridge case split and the bullet went 6″ wide of the rest of the group but the main damage was to the case. You could probably fire those tape-wrapped .32s all day.
Listening to the Chicago area police scanner last night, Can’t believe that these people of a different color don’t realize that if they were law abiding citizens and stopped when an officer stops them then there would not be all this shit happening. If anyone decides to actually pull back the curtain and see how we are really “fighting” the drug war one will quickly realize we aren’t actually “fighting” anything. All we are doing is containing the sales and purchase of drugs to limited geographical areas in large urban centers. White people buy a lot of drugs and fund the gangs who buy weapons to consolidate their turf. As long as the drug “war’ remains largely a fight to the death between latino and black gangs neither black or latino lives lost to the drug war will be anything more than a footnote on the nightly news. As long as we have prison for profit systems in the United States there will never be a true end to the drug war because the prison for profit system needs product to remain profitable and prisoners are their product.
We could end the drug war in a month if we actually wanted to end it, we know where the drugs are grown, simply burning the fields to the ground eliminates the entire supply of drugs for consumption. Gangs could be prosecuted under the RICO act and wiped out in a few months should we choose to use that tool.
We don’t use any of those tools, it gets interesting when we ask why. Why do we accept a more militarized police force to fight the drug war when we have no intention of actually winning that drug war? It’s really simple, as with all things follow the money.

My parents warned me about communism at an early age and throughout the years I watched every word of it unfold before my eyes.
This sentence is proving to be quite perceptive, as I see it on the news every time there is a shooting of a black individual.

As intelligent adults, shouldn’t we be teaching our children about honesty, respect, and responsibility? It seems more and more of my generation are glued to iWhatevers (pads, phones, watches, etc.) and leaving our children to raise themselves.
Social media and the internet are ruining our social structure to a point where recovery may not be an option. As youngsters, things that pissed us off caused us to write letters which made us think about what we were saying. Intelligent thoughts were put on paper, because the drafts that made us sound stupid went into the trash. If we found out we were mistaken, while researching our intelligent thoughts, we trashed the letter of reprisal and wrote a letter of praise.
People today get on their electronic devices, make stupid, incoherent and often misspelled rants (text acronyms are misspellings!). When the thoughts they shat into the world were found to be incorrect/misplaced/misguided, most yell and scream and add emphasis to get more people to follow their lead instead of admitting their wrong, apologizing and moving on. The ones that do apologize are criticized and ridiculed until they become irrelevant.
The facts are:
– Slavery ended before any of us were born and the opportunity (for all Americans, not just disgruntled ones) to select a new home country has been, and is still, available.
– The KKK was formed as the militant arm of the Democratic Party to enforce segregation and jim crow laws.
– The majority has lost its voice to a generation of whining brats that don’t want to work.
America needs to pick itself up, dust the bullshitters off its jeans, cut loose the shirt-tail hangers, and move forward with the dignity and respect it instilled in so many countries. The individuals that don’t like it can GTFO!
