2008 Weblog Awards [Jonn]

Um, I’m in shock. This Ain’t Hell is a finalist for the 2008 Weblog Awards as Best Military Blog. You guys are pretty cool. I feel like I want to repeat the cliche about being nominated. Especially when you consider who are also nominees;

From My Position… on the way!
The War on Big Tobacco
Blackfive
Michael Yon
This Ain’t Hell
One Marine’s View
Op For
Army of Dude
Milblogging,com
Knee Deep in the Hooah!

That’s some pretty cool company to be keeping. Thanks, everyone – you built this place.

  1. I’d like to thank all the little people that made this possible, members of the Academy and of course my significant other Charo.

  2. ..And Carmen Miranda… I love you baby, see you next week…oh who else? Um, IVAW and Code Pink for always being there for us on a slow news day. All our readers in Svalbard…anyone but that jackass Brett Favre…

  3. Like a rockstar, are you going to let fame go to your head and spend the next year blogging about your “Buddhist enlightenment” while doing coke daily off some babe’s ass.

  4. I’ve been trying to pick up guys here too but it hasn’t worked for me. Congrats and of course you all deserve it.

  5. Congratulations, but don’t forget to thank the little people of IVAW, VVAW, Code Pink and the rest. They’ve been working over-time to give you great stories to post.

  6. Well definitely sending congratulations. But Jonn…what’s a tankerbabe to do? If I vote for you what about my buds over at Blackfive? And what about The War on Big Tobacco – go ahead, I dare you, figure out which boobies are mine. LOL! And then there’s Major Pain (the only man to EVERY pick me up and not need medics afterwards – he’s a monster), and, and, and, and….guess we need to drink and figure this one out buddy. You know I luv you guys – not THAT way Caroline. LOL!

    Hey – keep up the GREAT work here. It’s part of my day EVERY day.
