Hondo sends us the news that the trial has begun for one of our phonies, Chalice Renee Zeitner, who we first wrote about more than two years ago when she was pretending to be an injured combat-experienced Marine/soldier at the rank of gunnery sergeant. Here’s the forged DD214 that she was flashing around;
She was actually a private first class with 2 months on active duty in the Reserves;
According to Fox News, she’s on trial in Arizona for lying to a doctor and forging documents about her having cancer so that the state would pay for her abortion back in 2010.
Zeitner, 30, is on trial in Phoenix on nearly a dozen charges including fraudulent schemes, identity theft, theft, attempted theft and forgery. She has pleaded not guilty to all of them.

Assistant Attorney General Maura Quigley depicted Zeitner as a woman who incessantly plotted not just to get an abortion, but to turn others’ sympathy into money.
She was renting her uterus out at the time, and I suspect that her clients missed a payment, so she needed an abortion.

She is also accused of using a fake identity on social media to convince her boyfriend to set up a fundraising website for her cancer treatments.
She faces a trial May 25 in a separate case in which she is accused of defrauding a charity for military veterans and the leader of a second charity in 2012.
She used to give TSO fits with her incomprehensible ramblings about how someone set her up with that forged DD214 – that she hadn’t created it. She threatened us with lawsuits that never materialized. Like so many before and since.
