John Branom Smith in the news

Rita L. Sherrow of the Tulsa World News just sent us a link to her correction of the article they wrote about John Branom Smith, the fellow we busted out in November. You might remember that Smith claimed that he was left on an Observation Post ten miles from US lines, fog prevented him from getting evacuated by helicopter and he got lost for three months or so wandering around the Vietnamese jungle.

Ms. Sherrow has been trying to contact Mr Smith to get his side of the story. Smith is suddenly shy when it comes to talking to the media about his time in Vietnam. Some of our partners doubted my research on Smith, you know because John Smith is such a common name, but I was sure of it – with Mary’s help, of course. But, anyway, the historical record has been corrected for posterity.

  1. John Branom Smith… you’re now famous as a Stolen Valor embellisher!!!

Enjoy that bowl of Cream of Sum Yung Guy soup, ASSCLOWN!

  2. I wonder what he was doing all of that time wandering around the jungle?

    Looking for King Solomon’s mines?

  3. Much respect to Rita Sherrow for following up on her research. It takes some professional integrity to do what she did.

Many thanks from Veterans of this Nation.

    1. I echo what Dave Hardin said above. Good on ya, Ms Sherrow.

“He claimed health issues and other reasons for not answering repeated requests for another interview.”
      Obviously Butt-Hurt syndrome.

  4. Maybe he will join the Josephine County Osth Keepers and swap BS stories with Joseph Rice about their “Daring Do.”
